  • My cat recently broke his leg because of going outside on his own he used to be an indoorcat

but he has had an operation and has had bolts put in his leg and i don't really want him to go outside at all but he likes it but i don't want him to get hurt anymore so i decided on taking him for walks but my dad said it was stupid and you can't walk a cat but i know you can and i just want him to be safe outside any advice?? please :)

  • its tail is so fwuffy

  • All 3 of my cats walk on leashes - only Ben DOES have a habit of turning back at me and pulling out of it!

  • i think hes a maine coon cat, which kinda act like dogs :) mine is that way

  • That cat is such a sweetie :)

  • Thank you

  • I have a silver tabby too, but he is alot younger

  • Just let that cat go; if dont come back just get another one! Who cares what the girlfriend says!

  • your 9 year old cat is SO much more tolerant to this harness/leash thing than my 9 month old is.

  • is a rabbit leash and harness ok for a cat? its adjustable for any size and is pretty hard to rip (i used it on my brother to test it out)

  • very cute main coon i want to rescue a cat where is the most recomended place in WI ? i want to give a kitten a second chance

  • my cat Kyfie walks on her leash and harness to the beach with me, my neighbors cat was killed by a car and another was killed by raccoons, my cat lives in my converted warehouse artists loft with me, but I like spending time with her outside and want her to be safe when she's out there, if you are too stupid or opinionated to understand that then shut the fuck up.

  • why the fuck ruin a cats life by putting them in leashes. I consider this cruelty, dogs are an exception because they can hurt people when they see them, but cats run scared. This is absolutely pointless, will make you look like a retard when walking them outside, and make them feel like shit.

  • @themonster13 Wow, that is completely untrue. CRUELTY?!?!?!?!? "Ruin a cat's life?" "Make them feel like shit?" How does one even come up with such an idea? Dogs aren't walked on leashes because they're a danger to others. Leashed walks keep dogs and cats safe. They enhance a cat's life and happiness by giving them secure access to the outside world. There is absolutely nothing "pointless" or "retarded" about cat leashes & harnesses; on the contrary, they're a perfect idea.

  • @themonster13 Can you be anymore close-minded?

  • wtf walkin cats on leads wtfff???? stupid dumb as mother fukerss they come back anyway

  • @mcboydy5 Read the top-rated comments to understand what a thoughtless remark that was. Walking cats is one of the best ways to allow them to enjoy the outdoors. "They come back anyway"?? Yeah, until the day they don't. If I had a cat, I'd keep him/her indoors most of the time and use safe, convenient enclosures and/or lines so that s/he could go outside without threatening him/herself, or any local wildlife. :D

  • @mcboydy5 Untill they get hit by a care because the owner though " the hell, he'll get back anyway"

  • I don't know man. There is just something fundamentally wrong about a cat on a leash. LOL

  • Where can we buy such harness, please???

  • @LaMomB Pretty much all pet stores sell cat harnesses for cats and kittens. but i wouldn't take your kitten outside until they're de-wormed and have all their shots.

  • I hate cats with a passiin. But that cat looks cute

  • @MultiWafflePwnage passiin??

  • that cat thinks: whats going on?

  • my cats name is killer he walks with his harrness on happly

  • I am sorry, but putting a cat on a leash negates the whole purpose of having a cat. If you want a pet that follows your commands, I suggest you get a dog.

  • @eldritchpalmerable Whaa? I don't think that's the point of leashing a cat. This is for people who have indoor cats who might want to go outside now and then without running off or getting out of sight. When I took my cats outside on a leash, I just let them go where they wanted (within reason,) I didn't tell them where to go or what to do. It's just time for adventure and exploration. Something new for them to do.

  • that looks like a lion :/

  • @frenchdave100 yea but if u live in a building it's pretty impossible to just leave a window open unless ur cat can climb 10 stories to ur apartment but some cats don't mind leashes so walking is the better option in this situation

  • walking cats is great for people who live in apartments and don't have the option to just let them out like me so anyone who thinks it's cruel to put cats on a leash is wrong cuz my cats love it , I've been walking them since them being kittens and people always stop and ask about my cats and love seeing them

  • Very good looking cat

  • i was about to walk my cat to a dog park

  • I take my cat out on a leash. It's been long, and required patience but he does fairly well. People love to see Cheeto

  • cats should NEVER be on leashes....u should have space for them to go out and come back when they want....always leave a window open for them to go in and out ...they will always come back to your house if you treat them good...I moved house 6 times in 4 years, but my cat been faithfull to ME and always followed me around....I cannot understand cats who get lost after moving houses....

  • @frenchdave100 There's absolutely nothing wrong with walking a cat on a leash if you're doing it correctly. Letting your cat come and go as it pleases might be fine with if you live out in the middle of nowhere, but if you live anywhere else you're putting it in danger of being hit by a car or attacked by another animal.

  • @frenchdave100 The average lifespan of an indoor/outdoor cat is 4 years. Yes, some live longer (note the word 'average") but many of them get hit by cars, trapped somewhere or killed by other animals. Not to mention catching diseases from other cats and animals, including feline AIDS. Leashing is for people who want their cats protected inside but also want to give them the chance to play outside.

  • @frenchdave100 Even if your cat is " oh so faithful " it would be hard for him to return after he gets hit by a car or got attacked.

  • Next, can you do a video on how to look like a dalmatian.. Oh, wait..

  • Thanks :) for the great vid

  • you have noooo life what so ever

  • @309818664 neither do the billions of dog walkers. man what sad freaks huh! to think that they'd want to get their pet and themselves exercise is fucking delusional!

  • @yvettemitchell123 true but go to the gym its the best

  • Is Stevie a long-hair pixiebob? He looks more like a Norwegian Forest cat to me, because Pixiebob's have the characteristic short tail (in most). :P

  • Cats like to be sneaky and explore. So the best way to walk a cat is getting some ninja training, so you can go anywhere. Trees, narrow allies, bushes, roofs... there so many places to check out...

  • YAY 0 DISLIKES!

  • How many cats do you have? Stevie is adorable. I'm a huge cat lover,I wish I could walk mine to my Grandmother's,but I don't think he'd take to a leash very well, and they have big mean dogs in their neighborhood.

  • What age do you recommend to wait until walking your cat? I have a 4 year old and a 10 month old, I want to look into walking my older one because he knows where home is and we have had him longer, But I don't know if he can handle it.

  • @dearrinda Your vet would be the best person to answer that question for you as he/she knows your cat and his temperament. Good luck!

  • Hahaha, he looks like he's crying. But cute cat though.

  • I love cats I like the bell with a leash.

  • Lol I used to try to walk my cat. But I just used a collar and leash. He walked good though!

  • Your cat is just ADORABLE!! I always loved (and still do) long hair fluffy cat! And thanks btw before i seen this video i put the harness & leash on my cat and she just layed her self on the floor and didnt wanna walk thanks 4 thehelp!

  • @ChaserBlox1337 If you are asking about how to help your cat to lose weight though diet, we have a great blog posting you may want to check out. I cannot post a link here but our blog is located on PetFoodDirect's blog. The article is titled Diet and Exercise Changes: A Formula to Keep Your Pet Healthy from April 1st, 2010.

  • @PetFoodDirect I can't believe you put cats on leashes in America. You would be seen as a nut case in the UK.

  • @ojideagu Dont worry not only in UK the whole world im russian and that is so ridiculous cats have to have their own freedom they are not dogs, they don't follow commands like dogs, they need to be leash free, Honestly I think they should make leashes for cats illegal lol

  • @ITWBL Cats should be leashed on walks exactly because they don't follow commands.

  • @PetFoodDirect my cat is addicted if she sees a leash so my cat didin't even need to be trained :D

  • This seems helpful! Thanks

  • thnx ^^
