You probably know a sleeper or you might be one yourself without knowing it yet. True enlightenment is the acceptance of all, nonjudgmental. I, myself, enjoy being ignorant of my inner self, I truly enjoy being humanistic but because I am aware I know not to hurt others, if possible.
Maharishi describes Enlightenment as tangible and as the most natural state of life; to educate people to live in enlightenment is our field, he says. ( certainly, a profession outstripping all PhDs and professors ☺☺☺)
the analogy is: a wave on the Ocean. the wave is real, all the time. but it is actually the Ocean, the vast, invincible unbounded ocean. the wave is limited, mortal. even a large lake can dry up, but for the Ocean the question doesn't arise. Reality is both, wave and Ocean. the enlightened directly experience that. I'm not just someone of finite height and weight; I'm totality. that's The Reality. for the person thinking he is limited, life is a tragedy; but comedy for the enlightened ones.
I've seen this tape before, but it's amazing.. every time I watch it, I gain a deeper level of understanding. I guess that's the proof that I'm not enlightened yet!
Maharishi is a joy to listen to, thanks for uploading!
enlightenment is no magic trick. & can be the natural consequence of living a life within the boundries of common sense. Becoming "enlightened" is effortless, and is simply being freed from limitation brought about by conditioning. Meditation is how you unlock every mental block & untangle your knot of thought. As within so without, change is realized from the inside out. Meditation, is simply the objective observation of thoughts in creation.
There is no doubt in my mind that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was absolutely enlightened - in full Unity Consciousness (Brahmi Chetana.) Many of the most revered saints of our time recognized his greatness and I have had personal experience of his most amazing darshan and presence.
Also, I know many enlightened people who are rising everyday through their practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques.
These techniques expand the individual ego to the cosmic ego - enlightenment.
MMY's enlightenment is a recipe to keep ego trapped in delusion - it doesn't bring freedom, it only makes a more enjoyable dream. And it's not about "whole brain functioning". Even so, show me one person who is "enlightened" within the context of MMY's teaching. I would bet that even MMY wasn't enlightened based on what he taught.
The phrase "Whole brain functioning" is based on hightech scientific experiments performed on Transcendental Meditation practitioners with EEG (Electroencephalogram) tests that measure and record the electrical activity of the brain by using sensors.
Maharishi's programs bring complete freedom, unboundedness, bliss, increased creativity and happiness. I am glimpsing higher states of consciousness everyday due to my practice of Transcendental Meditation! Thank you dear Maharishi.
No, what he taught is how to expand one's consciousness to infinity, which humbles one's ego in it's smallness by comparison. In direct correlation with this experience, the brain expands its coherent electrical activity (as shown in EEG studies) far faster and more extensively than through any other means, and over time it expands more, indicating more of the brain is functioning as one unit. Wholly unlike dreaming brain activity. Indeed, it is like coming out of a dream. You should try it.
"...his own version of enlightenment" produced a remarkable life certainly unmatched by any contemporaries. He displayed unlimited energy, able to bring out new knowledge for many hours a day. Very few could keep up with him. He continued to unfold consistent knowledge throughout his public life that has stood the scrutiny of time. He kept his public display of abilities to the realm of knowledge, because he saw that as the only lasting value to the world. I knew him. He WAS what he taught.
enlightened person should be able to explain enlightenment clearly, right to the essence and easy for everyone to digest. not using buzz words or phrases with fuzzy meaning (e.g. cosmic level of creativity of natural law), speaking round and round repeating fuzzy words/phrases, make people confused and thought that Maharishi has gained very high wisdom. may all his followers free from "ignorance" and develop more wisdom through correct meditation.
I recommend you to get systematic knowledge from Maharishi. For example, Science of Creative Intelligence course. Then all his words will become clear.
Explaining enlightenment is like explaining the incredible intoxicating juicy sweet flavor of the perfect fruit. Words never have much meaning to one who has never tasted it at all. To one who has, the words are a confirmation. Maharishi certainly left an enormous range of explanations, both expansive (as this one) and simple as in his earlier years. Listen to many of his lectures, it will become more clear. Its an infinitely big picture he paints. But first learn HIS technique, then listen....
Enlightenment is no ordinary topic; do we really have words in any language to explain it ?
Some keywords/phrases would be, as for as my experiences go : instant knowledge of *; miracle; euphoria- just happy for no reason; contentment; fearlessness; without prejudice- neutrality; thoughtlessness; in the zone; total mastery over *; right place, right time, right people; heightened awareness/imagination.
Again its also a personal experience so pthers may not believe it.
"in the field of all possibilities all is possible" Maharishi only takes time, I hope that Heaven on Earth will be soon like in 4 -7 years from now for most of the ppl lets say 80 percent , the rst will be of road:)- earth!

What Maharishi never told is that a
person / personality can never be enlightened.
The person that believes he is going to be enlightened is an illusion that first has
to die. What remains is the impersonal Self, that pure awareness we alwáys Are and always has been! Maharishi used to call this IS-ness.

What is enlightenment? I think it is when the "lights" are turned on in ones consciousness 24/7.
I have a growing experience of this through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and advanced meditation techniques...
The coolest thing is how simple everything is - enlightenment is the simplest state of human existence...
Anything else is just a distortion of the truth due to stresses and strains in the mind and body.
TURN ON THE LIGHTS!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥
