  • This is one of those episodes where it always ends up with a spilled soda, the computer, and some hysterical fool wiping their eyes and saying repeatedly, "Oh, man...."

  • I died when he took a bite of cornbread LOL!

  • you can see David wants to laugh so badly! :) i love this episode!!!

  • "A cat may have kittens in the oven, but that don't make 'em biscuits!!" The horrified look on his face after he says it just makes it even funnier. xD

From Chuck Ranberg's speech impediment, to Niles kicking Daphne in the butt, to Frasier's impersonation of an irate black woman, this episode had me doubled over in pain from laughter. Best episode ever, okay? OKAY!

  • " You know Latifah's not a real queen, riiiiiight?" LMAO!

  • THAT ASS

  • I love to listen to these two ladies' show.

  • 4 peoples' wives weft them for a Wastafawian.

  • Is he eating cornbread at 16:55 ? I think they're pushing it

  • 12:38 I LOVE Daphne's outfit.

  • Interesting. Race never once entered my mind until the characters brought it up, and even then I just thought they were all being silly.

  • Niles prancing at 06:41 dunno why but I find it hilarious!

  • I'm a black woman who loves Frasier and this episode! The kitten comments, rofl you are amazing Kelsey Grammar! He's so gifted and has produced many successful black tv shows

  • "well doctow kwane, we have winda on wine fwee who bewieves people awe walphing at her." hahaha

  • Anybody else notice the bandage changed from the right wrist to the left in the end credits?

  • "God bless your guilty white ass, ok?" LOL

  • Sad thing is you couldn't do this episode today - you'd get too many idiots whining about black stereotyping.

  • "You sherry-swillin', opera-lovin', Armani-wearin' elitist!" ROTFL!!!

  • "Well Dr. Cwane, we have Winda on wine three who bewieves people a waffing at her" cracked me up.

The "allwighty" after that had me snorting out my drink.

*DANGER* *DANGER* DO NOT EAT OR DRINK WHILE WATCHING FRASIER *DANGER* *DANGER*

  • 9:22 thats how shed get it

  • "...owning the cd of 'ella sings gershwin', does not qualify you as a soul brother"

  • lmao

  • "You have no idea how difficult it is for a black woman in a white mans world! I DON'T THINK SO!" Haha. With the finger waving. Gosh I miss this show. Hilarious.

  • ....black.

  • Never drink anything while listening to Frasier doing his black woman voice. Just a heads up there, guys. The way he says "massa" cracks me up.

  • 14:40 - 15:28 HILLARIOUS!!

    :-))

  • Mary is great

    'OK? OK!!'

    :-)

  • haha that kick at 9:20 i watched tonight man me and my mom laughed!!

  • Frasier's peotrayal of a mad black woman almost killed me with laughter..and I'm black!!

  • @Lowdninja Me too on both counts. Cracked me up.

  • @Lowdninja lol! I felt the same way, I'm like "wow, he does that too well!"

  • Comment removed

  • how come your vids are better quality than my HD tv?!?!

  • I'd listen to Dr Mary's show any day. 'You tripping!'

  • 9:20 Wow I didnt realise Daphne has such a nice ass :)

  • Bless you for uploading Frasier!!!! At last, I have something to watch amidst all the summer re-runs on TV!

  • Huntington Treadwell the Third!!!

  • Is Chuck Ramberg the same actor who plays Barry Kripke from The Big Bang Theory?

  • I did have to pass under a dangerously unbalanced portrait of Alfred Adler in the Rotunda

We are practically separated at birth

  • "You have no idea what it's like for a Black woman".... the funniest Fraiser ever.

  • @R21301 I know so funny :D!!!!! I love Frasier. Its 100 times better then cheers. I couldn't watch that show it was awful. Nile is so sexy ^.^

  • @jollybaby18 to bad Niles is gay in real life :(

  • @SuperRed303 I think he might be Bisexual tho :o His married and things. :)

  • @jollybaby18 He's married to a man.

  • @asalmog I know that -.-

  • @jollybaby18 Yeah, after pressing "post" I noticed the smiley...

  • @asalmog yes :o

  • Frasier imitating Mary is the exact negative stereotype that black women have in this world its a shame

  • louise is you trippin'??lmao

  • I love Mary! She's great!

  • @sologratia1

    Okay? Okay!

  • Strange that Daphne injured her right wrist in the beginning but the last scene she had the support on her left wrist. To get Niles in my bed I'd have done it too and had a sex change. lol Sexy man!

  • ok so I probably sound stupid but what does Frasier mean by Massa? is that some sort of racist thing?

  • @Karonsay It's slave pidgin for "master".

  • @Karonsay refers to plantation/slave owner aka "master". yes, def a racist thing

  • @Karonsay i think it's what slaves used to call their owners. Probably from mispronouncing the word master

  • "If the shoe don't fit then that ain't your shoe." So true.

  • lmao, loooooooove daphne's ass!! i would do something different than kick it. :-X

  • @dvnupldr :DD totally

  • You know that Latifah is not a real queen right?!!!

  • ok? OK!!!

  • As usual, Martin is the best at getting to the root of everything. Frasier and Niles spectacularly over analyse and Martin simply says it how it is. I would love for Frasier and Niles to realise for once how perceptive Marty is and how well he knows them.

  • i waughed so hard when Chuck talked

  • Comment removed

  • 16:14 double hand raise!

  • i keep watching frasier try to be a black woman over and over again! SO hilarious!

  • lmao ha haa kicker Daphne right in the ass!

  • THAT'S THE WAY TO DO IT - lol

  • 15:24 is so epically funny!

  • "your parents only had you for the first 18 years" -- hey, that's brilliant advice actually ...I know some people who could benefit from that mirror to the face

  • HA! fraiser eatin cornbread. too funny.

  • @FUwogs that tortured rush limbaughish attempt to make fun of a black woman only makes you look stupid.

  • "They're looking for a replacement for 'Let's Go Camping With Dan & Jenna.'"

    "What happened to them?"

    "They don't know."

HAHAHA. I've watched this episode maybe thrice without noticing that joke.

  • Maria is Gloria Estefan!

  • I think racism has moved on in the last 10 years. I'd have no problem lamping Mary in the face.

  • at the end they mix up daphne's injured wrist...at first it was the right and at the end the left is bandaged

  • @ 9:22 best shot in the episode, actually maybe the entire series. Ok, OK!

  • @FUwogs FUCK you you ignorant, bigoted, stereotypical asshole so what if some black women speak with that dialect you dont have to disrespect her like that

  • Great show. I love all the Frasier episodes. I wish they could have added a few more years to the series.

  • Niles kicked the shit out of Daphne at 9:20 LOL! They could have done without Mary saying Ok, Ok, with the face.

  • i have failed on my new years resolution already......

the last 2 years i have been addicted to watching fraiser on youtube, and i told myself i would wean myself off this year.......here's to another 365 days of Frasier :D

  • owning the cd of 'ella sings gershwin' does not qualify you as a soul brother

  • God bless your quilty white ass OKAAAY. haha

  • "we have winda on wine one, who tinks peopoh are waffing at her."

I lol'd thinking of Frasier answering that call- *snicker snicker* "Winda- I mean Linda?" *snicker snicker*

    "You're laughing at me TOO!!!"

  • Cam Winston and his mom are black. Martin even gets in a relationship with Cam's mom. I don't think this show is racist.

  • If the shoe dun fit, dad ain yo shoe!

  • I dUN thank sO!!!

  • 14:38 is awesome!

  • I have a feeling the ending when the guy says "Aw whitey," was done intentionally because of this episode's theme on race. GENIUS!!!

  • Niles owning the CD of Ella Sings Gershwin does not qualify you as a soul brother.

LMAOLMAOLMAOLMFAO!!!! CLASSIC stuff. It just never ends with this show!!

  • I think this is an awesome episode. I'm black and wasn't the least bit offended about this. It points out the problems with the way we think sometimes.

  • Latifah is not a real queen. I never even thought of that

  • was....was that a piece of cornbread?

  • I love the look on Martin's face, "...more of a craft". Just cracked me up.

  • the bit at he end with nile's reading to daphne is so sweet

  • to tell the truth, Frasier's advise to that Maria with the cheating husband was extremely bad... the woman *who is a pathetic loser* with the loser husband who cheats... change yourself was Frasier's advise... you have to be kidding me!!!

  • @saosanart I think it should be a bit of both--ditch the cheater and THEN work on your self-esteem.

  • @ravengypsywings It depends on the relationship, but I think that's pretty sound advice overall.

  • For someone who is supposedly an educated man, Frasier really is a big ass!

  • Haha, after Daphne replies "yes" to being alright, Niles asks her "really?", listen to how he says it, it doesn't sound like him lol

  • Frasier: Oh Niles, what brings you here?

Niles: Here to demonstrate my newly acquired feet..HOHOW!....of fury!

That kick is fantastic!! And Niles' little after-reaction as if he has a wedgie haha :)

  • A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make 'em biscuits !!!

  • 9:22 Daphnes got "That Ass"

  • LOL!!!! I LOVE the off-hand remarks about KACL employees that have met a ghastly end e.g in The Seal Who Came to Dinner when they were talking about 'The Happy Traveler' who got kidnapped in the jungle and they said something to the effect of "unless they get more realistic with those ransom demands, he's never coming out of that jungle", LOL.

  • i always thought the actors that play Frasier's dad and Daphne are a pair of cocks. Other than them, i like the televisual programme named Frasier . . . Close friends mock me for it.

  • @teamcrumb why wht did they do to make you dislike them?

  • NICE QUALITY

  • Oh no. It's Mary.

  • I now I should have grown up by now, but I just love slapstick.....when it's done well, and the Niles kicking Daphnes bum is done to perfection!!

  • i think we can and the debate with these wise words......"it aint the white mans fault anymore!"...........who said that?....Bill Cosby!...wakey wakey guys, the world keeps turning, so you better catch up or you'll miss the ride

  • Chuck Ranberg is not only the name of that character with the speech impediment, but also the name of a writer for "Frasier" and many other classic sitcoms.

  • okaaay?..okaaay!!! xD

  • I see no offense in this episodes writing... Great episode!

  • this episode is too funny. jazzy j

  • Daphne sprains her right wrist and has the bandage on the left wrist at the end of the episode, LOL

  • @hemadesaidr I love the way he kicks her in her ass...too funny

  • At the end of the scene when the credits are on and Niles is sat on Daphne's bed...I can't stop imagining him just kissing her :P

  • @livdaprano you're such a romantic!! :D

  • @chubbychilli Haha, I love Niles and Daphne :)

  • 7:39 - It doesn't? What about Price sings Porter?

  • The scene with the credits was so cute. Niles is so sweet to do all those things. Daphne is really starting to show genuine feelings for him! :)

  • Niles' tie in the scene where everyone his certificate is so gorgeous.

  • "We are practically separated at birth." LOL! I love Mary.

  • LOL--one of my favorite episodes: "a cat can have kittens in the oven, that don't make 'em biscuits" ..."I've got this brand new career, so all I can say is God bless your guilty white ass"..."Nothin' stops a man from playin' the field like a night out on the lawn"...

and the one liner from Martin to Niles about kick boxing: "so ya kick 'em and run away"

  • @CreativeEnergizer52 Lol, I love those lines too!

  • 5:22 I would have said "GTFO MARY"

  • In the last scene, Daphne's cast is on the other arm.

  • omg its teddy from qaf! :P <3

  • It's Gloria Estefan as Maria!

  • Kim Coles used to be fine as hell when she was younger....and skinnier.

Not saying I dont like big women. I do.

  • Even though it wasn't intended for Daphne's ass, it was a good kick.

  • I can understand why Mary got her own show: she's a hoot!

  • I want hot coco before I go to bed awwwwwww

  • God bless your guilty white ass!

  • Wow, Niles...starting of with the Roundhouse? That's someone else's signature move, you know...no wonder you failed xD

  • 9:23 Check Daphne out.

  • This is why I love Kelsey Grammar. He's a brilliant man! N daps to Kim Coles too!

  • " It explores some of what really goes on behind the scenes of class and race discrimination. "

    What?!?

Thats what you take away from this episode?

Furthermore, any distaste pointed at Dr. Mary, is directed at her, not because she is black, but because she typifies the kind of charlatan that says they are one thing, while they are not.

  • Childhood what! Childhood what?!? From what do chronic rage mOTHERFUCking problems come from?!?!? Raaaaa~~

    Childhood trauma? Neglect? Hmm.

  • After skimming through the plot, I get the point, but it hardly dismisses the underlying message of the "African American Experience". So far, I've learned that being black means you're in constant struggle with oppression, if you're a black Yale student from an upper middle class background you "hardly" represent that "experience" and if you're a black woman you're likely to meet some stereotypes like the ones portrayed in this episode. Never have I been so offended. Thanks Frasier producers!

  • @Star16

What is the point of your last message? You're offended on behave of both black women and white men?

You really think a bunch og writers from the 21st century would sit down and write like a group of white men in the 60's? Everybody's aware of the way things are now! Always afraid of saying something wrong. I'm Danish, so I did not grow up with this kind of issue, the black kids at school were just kids.

  • @Star16 Noone ever thought about the color of their skin. But I now know that things are different in America, just look at the debate regarding Michelle Obama's "naked dress".. COOOOOOOME ON AMERICA, stop freaking looking for every fucking single reason to scream RACIST!!!! The joke is just as much on Frasier as it is on Dr Mary..

I'm sorry this episode offended you, because it closes you eyes for the warmth and humour that is so obvious..

  • @Star16 I laughed until I cried and loved Dr Mary to bits! I'm very sure that's all the writers wanted.. Keep an open mind..

    X

  • @BXL4ever Keep an open mind? I don't find anything funny about how the producers characterized blacks. I love Frasier, but this is one episode I will not be able to watch ever again.

  • @Star16 yes keep an open mind and all the other stuff i wrote..

come on, it's two black women not all blacks! i'm white but don't drink sherry, go to the opera or wear armani. it's a show about a few people not about generalization

  • @BXL4ever It's not so much the two black women because I can see that their roles were purposely made that way. It's the comment about Niles' dorm mate being from a wealthy affluent background and Frasier's comment of that not representing the so-called "african american experience". As if the producers had slide that in there about oppression being representative of blacks. I think you're missing my point entirely. It's clear the producers were trying aim for "diverse".....

  • @Star16 Do you think that if there was anything remotely racist about this episode that Kim Coles would have guest starred in it or any black actress

  • @kaejae24 You missed my point entirely. I'm aware that the producers probably were making an attempt to be tolerant or "diverse". However, it's ironic that what they consider to be tolerant is really racist in a lot of ways. It's very simple when you think about it.

  • @Star16 Yes, it is simple, so don't make such an issue out of it. It was just plain funny, and I agree with the other person, Kim Coles would not have allowed herself to be exploited. There are things in all races that are just plain funny. So lighten up and except it for what it is. Humor!! JAZZI-JAYE

  • @1janice100 You still don't understand what I'm pointing out here. Of course Kim Coles wouldn't have cared because in today's society it's a very common perception that blacks are the under dogs of the U.S. amongst blacks and non blacks. That's what's considered to be "diverse thought", but it's really in fact undermining the image of many blacks who are in fact successful. So, yes I am making a big deal because it is and if people brush it off like it's nothing then this "image" will continue.

  • @BXL4ever ... but in all reality, they DID make a generalization and since the producers of Frasier are extremely liberal (and all liberals tend to preach about his diversity, tolerance, and "racism"), ironically they paint an image of themselves trying to relate to black people through "diversity", but making rash generalization in order to set up some identity of being a certain race. Hence my outrage at the "African American Experience" comment. Heh, trust me. You don't need to point out..

  • @BXL4ever .. how everyone pulls the race card. I'm just pointing out the irony and hypocrisy of many liberals' ideas of racism. Seeing as many people would consider "The African American Experience" to be "tolerant"- not racist, ignorant, or stereotypical.

  • @BXL4ever Another thing is that they never implied in the show that being pompous, wearing armani, or drinking sherry was a "white thing" like they implied a certain "experience" with blacks. So, it's irrelevant to point out what you do and don't do as a white person. Considering that those characteristics can be applied to any snob-despite their race.

  • What, being affluent and wealthy cant be representative of being black? Im sorry, I wasnt aware that my skin color meant I needed to be the underdog of society. Suddenly, successful black people dont represent the BLACK experience, whatever the hell that is. This episode is written by a bunch of liberal fanatics who spend too much of their time making generalization of people based on skin color -Trying to hard tolerant when in the end theyre being racist.

  • I have to say that I was offended by this episode and had to turn it off half way into this video. This was obviously a poor attempt at a diverse script. I have to wonder how the producers view blacks. They just had to turn this Mary character into a classic stereotypically black woman and it pisses me off, but what really made me sick was to hear the comment on how building golf courses is hardly representative of the African American experience......

  • A cat can have kittens in the oven but that don't make em biscuits!!!! Loooool

  • At the very end, Daphne's brace is on the wrong wrist.

  • @raerae1281

Maybe her wrist healed, and she's pretending it's still hurt so that Niles will continue, and she forgot which wrist it was.

Of course, maybe not. Continuity is the one thing Frasier doesn't do well.

  • This is my first time through all the episodes and may i just say.....i want chuck in every remaining episode......that last scene is my favorite thing ever.

  • I'm sure that Mary is inspired by Robin Quivers.

  • @BlackOrchids6 1st off Robin Quivers doesn't act like Mary. She is passive. Howard is the aggressive one. And Mary is an extreme stereotype of how a black woman acts. Even Frasier's portrayl of Mary is stereotypical. Also if you are looking for an example of a successful black radio personality look at Wendy Williams. She sounds and doesn't act anything like Mary's character.

  • i love roz's character

  • i love how the ophelia print is on daphne's wall..so english!

  • "He never leaves me cocoa"

"You have to fill out that little card"

    Hahahaha!

  • so you kick 'em and then run away?

  • Gosh, I just LOL at Daphne's face when at 9:16 but then I also LMAO'd when Niles kicked her. Maybe the fall was a bit exaggerated, but that's what makes it so much fun.

  • I wish I can write like that in EVERY episode of Frasier!!!!!

    I envy the writers.

  • LOUISE IS YOU TRIPPIN

  • Daphne has a great arse. =P

  • 9:22, that's a nice view.

  • david hyde pierce actually is a good kick boxer in real life

  • lol, Daphne twisted her right wrist, you can see at 9:26 and 12:26, but in the end 21:26 she has the other hand bandaged lolz.

  • Roz looks so good.
