I loved 05. The defensive controls were great. Now with the stick controls, it takes forever to adjust your defense the way you want it. I thought 11 was good, which is sad, cause it took 6 years for them to move back to a game almost as good as 05. I'm not buying 13 unless the cheerleaders come out of the TV at halftime, and sit on my lap for the second half.

Madden 05 was the first time madden seemed like real football, and then Madden 06 expanded on it and made it great. 07 was great to, but the gameplay took a small step back. Then ever since 08, its been a downward spiral, madden 11 i couldnt even buy cause the demo was so awful. Madden 12 was a slight improvement, but its pretty obvious that Madden will never be as good as it once was. For madden 13, they should just update the rosters for madden 06 and add an online mode, id pay $60 for that.

Sure, the traits that the later Madden games have implemented have improved gameplay to an extent, but 2k just did such a better job. There was always a bit more detail, be it on or off the field. @midnight8ngel ah,05 was too fake on defense.like all the ones before it were too easy on offense. 05 was one of the worst to me cause thats when my recevers lost the ablity to jump. on 04 when i pressed triangle at lest my player would jump and jump high! it was like on 05 all the sudden i couldnt do it anymore,unless i was on defense of course. every year they slant the game a certin way:running game in 07 defense in 05. depends who on the cover lol. they should just make it even!
