  • check out the drummer jeffJRrandall!!!

  • Maybe I'm an old dinosaur, but keep guitars and drummers for rock n roll, get back to basics, the first element is the DJ,people may see it as progressing but if you progress to much then it's something else and not Hip Hop,it's only my opinion.

  • i know what you mean...but there are still a lot of rappers who are great that arent getting the attention they deserve...hell even nas isnt getting the same numbers as he used to.

  • thats because nas fell off

  • I tend to view rap the same way I view most popular forms of music, 90% of it is derivative crap, but the 10% that isn't is amazing.

  • yea no kiddin..

  • You honestly don't know who Charlton Heston is? I'm a teenager and know of the actor and famous gun advocate. Try to educate yourself.

  • Yesssurr'! Reppin' Delaware to the fullest! The roots music is smart and not idiotic like the rest of the bs rap out there.. even though I still listen to the BS rap out there because, well for the most part, most new music sucks. • cause white boys can pay for the tix with their parents credit.

  • what? u r talkin shit , im white and i live in a ghetto in germany

  • So what germany... Who gives a shit.

  • this shit is universal. Hiphop is universal. There is hiphop in britian, Canada, Japan, Mexico. It doesn't matter , hiphop was not meant to segregate black people, it was meant to bring people together.

  • you are so right man!

  • coolest thing i've read today so far.

  • hiphop used to be for black situations, but there is so many people in the world with the state of mind, that hiphop had to open up to everyone. Now, there is people all over the world that like it. It's not only for black people, or 'ghetto' people, because we all know that latinos were also instrumental in hiphop, a band like the Roots, tours the world, why do you think?

  • wrong. latinos, as the guy said, were instrumental in the formation of modern hip hop

  • bullshit not anymore it isn't...with the mentality like that you're just allowing stereotypes and racism to still occur

  • yo friends I'm white and I'm not poor. You don't have to live in da ghetto to feel a hot beat and recognize real hip hop, what little there is left.

... though I do live on the southside of chi.

  • exactly lol

  • Fuckin right, you get respect 4 dat. This song is hot.

  • I agree with you man..I live in east tennessee..but i still feel real music..and the roots got it!!!!

  • dclean enjoy yourself its all about the vibe of the music lot of black folks(i'm black female)arent at the concerts because concerts usually consist of young folks, especially whats considered rap(I think they're just a hellava band)& the young are VERY influenced by radio air play & now adays videos which is controlled by corporate sponsorship & I personally hardly if ever hear or see the ROOTS on air.money is usually tight so blk kids dont buy a lot of disc they havent heard ENJOY.PEACE OUT

  • I'm not a real hip-hop fan but I can't get enough of The Roots. This track owns as does Game Theory!

  • Saw them in Orlando last week. I'm not a huge Hip-Hop fan, but they have my upmost respect. I'll never miss a Roots show again.

  • yeah they are authentic
