I used to write about the things I went through, it was a great release for me. But I felt so violated when my parents went through my journal without my permission. I felt so exposed. I don't think I could ever look at a journal again. I poured my heart out on that thing and they just took it away from me.

The books might be controversial true, but if Wal Mart can sell Ellen Hopkin books then I think they could sell this. I think the reason that you can't find this book in other stores easily is because the profits might help benefit TWLOHA like the tee-shirts do and it'd just be easier to sell it in select places.

It's amazing how similiar my journals are to hers. "I want to die." I know how that feels.

And I know how it feels to be saved by To Write Love On Her Arms when you already have one foot in life, and one in death. I will be eternally grateful to TWLOHA, and Renee for saving my life. My wrists won't let me forget, and neither will my heart. After all, it's hard to forget the group of angels who helped me pick up my life and put it back together.

@hergoldeneyes I totally agree with you. They saved my life too. I was completely depressed and When I didn't know what to do, I just let the bleeding cure it. It's really inspiring to know that there are people out there caring for you and trying to help you out like that. It's weird how people think they understand when we say "all i feel is pain" or "I just don't wanna live". cause it's a deep emotional thing. To everyone going through this kind of stuff, there are people who care.

But most people don't understand the honesty of this book.Most parts of this book are about sexual abuse,cutting,and depression.Most people think that may be innappropiate.

Its important to view the other POV when it comes to telling people why the book probably won't be found in your schools library.And that's what I was trying to do.

It's more powerful than it is depressing. I actually liked it, a lot. In music and stories suicide is pretty glamorized, Renee's journals are just so real and you see the ugly side. It's sad what she went through, yeah. But not depressing. Amazing is more the word I would have chosen...

Yeah, they do block out alot of things. Mostly it's swearing and you can guess what it says, but other times there's just like two whole lines of black...

It was a really awesome book though, despite the fact that the handwriting was sometimes a little difficult to read.
