These lyrics are actually really close to the English script, a lot more so than quite a lot of the other languages' versions of this song! Do you know if DeathKnight725 based these lyrics off of that English script? The translation is imperfect (the fourth "ze dao" in the lyrics isn't there, Frollo just goes straight to "wo bu tong na"), and the next-to-last character in those lyrics "於" (between gui and huo) is also not said by Frollo... but VERY GOOD!
@chortles81 Hey there. :) Yeah you're right the 4th "zhi dao" isn't there, guess I just assumed without actually checking. As for the "yu" between gui and huo hmmm... you can either say it's just the second half of "gui" for that beat or he actually did say "yu". Sounded like he did to me. :S
when i was a kid in a french catholic church, i actually wanted us to sing in latin like they used to lol i loved the sound of this movie so much. i had the movie in french too in vhs, and it took me forever to find it to download lol
@Mayumiko i do catch all the jokes you never do as children. and actually this song, i never thought about what frollo is actually singing about, i just thought he didnt like her alot...even though he still doesnt...you know what i mean lol
oh hahaha, if this was uploaded 7 years ago, I could have helped you, since my mother has the habit to buy disneys in multiple languages for me to learn foreign languages, but my video players is broken, so I can't view my tape anymore ^^"
cool, can you understand Taiwanese? Taiwanese is pretty tough to me, I can understand what my granny says for instance, but when I have to speak it myself, my mother always laughs like it's the biggest joke ever, since I sound like a retarded robot T_T
No, I don't understand any Taiwanese at all. I live in the USA. My parents understood a bit of Taiwanese when they were children, but they can't comprehend it much, not even now.
對啊! 帥死了!<33333333
Which side of your family is Taiwanese and Japanese?
Uuh, I live in Europe ^^" I moved to the Netherlands when I was 4 for my father's job... sooooooo yeah, had not so much the chance to live in Asia, I have never really lived in Japan, only for visiting family, I'd go to Japan every so now and then, but mostly I go to Taiwan, since it's much MUCH cheaper XD
cool, do you also love the night markets soooo incredibly much? but hate it whenever those people there start to shout in Taiwanese at you? and the desperate you trying to answer but not being able to, and ending up either ignoring those people or telling them you don't speak Taiwanese? XD and then those people mostly end up giving you the face like: OMG, an Alien...
uuh, not really actually, there are cantonese though, and loads of indonesians, Japanese are very very rare XD (talking of Japanese like animals), up till now, I've only met one half Japanese girl XD, and I've been in Europe for like 13 years.
yeah, there are lots of east europeans in USA ain't there?

Imperfect dub. The show is Catholic and not Protestant. Should have used 天主 for god instead of 上帝。

@chortles81 Also another mistake. Frollo said "Jiu shi shao diao..." instead of "Jiu suan shao diao..." Doesn't change the meaning really.

Hmm by the way, don't you also think that Disneys must be rewatched once you're older? then you understand more^^
when I were little, I just watched those pretty girls gazing around and thought: "Oh, wanna be like that when I grow big an tall...*.*"
you know, now I've rewatched everything, I really do consider some disneys way too deep for small children XD
It's really wonderful when you watch it when you're older, ne ^^

I enjoy night markets! I don't mind all the yelling. I think it adds to the atmosphere of fun frenzy that is supposed to exist at nightmarkets. :)
Kysentha 2 years ago
Yeah pretty much I think... but it's still very noizy in Taiwan, I am more used to the calm and boring Europe.
