If you have a spot outside (covered if it's rainy where you live) and a propane tank, propane burners do amazing jobs at heating the wort up to a full rock & rollin' boil in minutes. They get real hot and don't really use much propane for what they do (and propane is CHEAP). I cooked inside for months and recently changed over to propane and the results are totally worth it. Less mess in the kitchen...less steam, less stuffiness, etc. Only a friendly recommendation!

  • Well I've officially replied to every one of your beer videos now! I don't know how addicted you are to cooking beer inside, but if you can stand being outside hanging out for a couple hours I highly recommend a propane burner for boiling the wort. I see your range is smooth-top, IMHO those take forever to get something hot which is why I hate them! continued..........

  • Yeah, I'm thinking a propane burner may be one of my next investments. It seems like it would get things going a lot quicker. Also, it would be a must if I ever wanted to try all-grain brewing.
