Two things happening at the same time does not mean they are causally connected. One has to use logic, fact, and reasoning to develop a thoery that makes a connection. If Lieberman was not on the 2000 ballot Gore would have beaten the evil and criminal Bush by a wide enough margin that even the corrupt republicans could not have stolen the election.   • Lieberman is being eaten not because he is one of "their own" but because he's wrong on many issues. If he was really "their own" he might be better on these issues. What is so wrong with voting for a candidate who reflects one's own views? Just because someone calls himself a Democrat doesn't mean he automatically should be supported. Look at all the support the GOP has given to their own candidate, Alan Schlesinger! BTW...I'm not defending the Israel crack...

That the deficit is lower today than it was in 2004, when Bush set a record high, is not a testament to good policy. And, that the deficit is down from 2004 does not prove a causal relation to the tax cuts. Oh, but, I forgot, I am a moron who has no understanding of economics. Here's another question - why am I wasting my time debating someone with an IQ just a notch above my dog's?

I have since moved from CT, but I have always been impressed by his candor, and his willingness to think for himself. I'm hopoing that he nand McCain will run as an independant ticket in 2008.
