@CristianTejadaU Well said!! This is from the Mexican movie called Veneno Para Las Hadas *(poison for faries) The movie came out in 1984. Not a bad movie, gets better as it goes. I could not find an English version however. But, the subtitles are good enough for me. Understanding the lyrics after seeing the movie. Wilson is by far the best musical talent out there today. Everything he does whether its PT, No Man, Solo, turns to gold. BRILLIANT!!!
One thing is when a guy makes a song with similar chords but different melody or structure from a song from another artist...
other thing is when the same artist makes two songs with THE SAME CHORDS and similar tempos... this song is slower than THE SKY MOVES... but the chords ARE THE SAME, the time each chord lasts are the same, Am.... G (some kind of G)... Fmaj7 (or some kind of F)...
Im not saying that every song has to be different, but I find this hard to believe... same structure...
for me only porcupine tree (and so steven wilson) and marillion (and so Fish) can make such touching music for me... Especially when steven and fish made Sunsets on empire together. Sad enough not very known that album.
this song is just beautiful. very dark, gets me teary-eyed listening to it, but otherwise it's just one of the most beautiful songs I've heard. It's my favorite off the Insurgentes album.

@sprawler2121 The 3 chords at the beginning (Am, G, F) are the same you have at 4:39 of "TSMS phase 1" ("I find that I'm not here" on the US version (which is also the first song of the live album "We lost the skyline")). Enough for them to be similar, IMO ^^
@malaguida The opening chords are the same, the timing is the same, its a reference in a way, or maybe a creative exercise, either way he does it alot. other examples are trains and sentimental, many portions of .3 (in absentia), normal and sentimental.
@malaguida I agree, it's very similar to the beginning. But I think it's the nicest part of the song, so I love that he released a song with a solemn focus on that beautiful part.
This song transports me to a whole different place when I listen it, it causes something special, Wilson's work on the ambiance of the track is simply impressive.
This song is one of my favourites done by Steven Wilson. In matter of fact, off any songs I ever heard. Just beatiful, gave me goosebumps every time I listen it. Steven Wilson is amazing artist. Hope I will see him live again soon.
I'm playing this in a winter drumline show. Hearing the real thing is pretty cool.
