  • I'm playing this in a winter drumline show. Hearing the real thing is pretty cool.

  • daniel gilldenlow and steven wilson id like to see them in a record together. both genius

  • i just bought his new live album signed......and i say to my self: oh my god i´ll have the signature of a god!

  • @CristianTejadaU Well said!! This is from the Mexican movie called Veneno Para Las Hadas *(poison for faries) The movie came out in 1984. Not a bad movie, gets better as it goes. I could not find an English version however. But, the subtitles are good enough for me. Understanding the lyrics after seeing the movie. Wilson is by far the best musical talent out there today. Everything he does whether its PT, No Man, Solo, turns to gold. BRILLIANT!!!

  • @k1icq amen.

  • One thing is when a guy makes a song with similar chords but different melody or structure from a song from another artist...

other thing is when the same artist makes two songs with THE SAME CHORDS and similar tempos... this song is slower than THE SKY MOVES... but the chords ARE THE SAME, the time each chord lasts are the same, Am.... G (some kind of G)... Fmaj7 (or some kind of F)...

Im not saying that every song has to be different, but I find this hard to believe... same structure...

  • for me only porcupine tree (and so steven wilson) and marillion (and so Fish) can make such touching music for me... Especially when steven and fish made Sunsets on empire together. Sad enough not very known that album.

  • this song is just beautiful. very dark, gets me teary-eyed listening to it, but otherwise it's just one of the most beautiful songs I've heard. It's my favorite off the Insurgentes album.

  • when i heard this for the first time i naturally started to sing "we lost the skyline"

  • Origin Of Supernatural Posibilities by Tangerine Dream ;)

  • brilliant song, his new solo album is also great!

  • This song always sends shivers down my back, it always seems to as Ghostleon4 said " evoke some of the profound emotions." This is such a great song.

  • Jordan Rudess plays keys on this song!

  • @saketmohan06 hes my favorite Keyboardist =] And i didn't even know he was playing this ahahah THANKS =]

  • Once you go Steven Wilson , you never go back.

  • excelente cancion, con influencias de Porcupine Tree, Bass Communion y de No-Man. Excelente! Espero que algun dia veamos a SW por aca en México o en Puebla!

  • This song is perfection...

  • the synth that comes in around 3 mins reminds me of Rick Write's on Wish you Were Here, used almost throughout that album.

  • The more I listen to this album, the more I cherish it...

  • Veneno para las hadas always makes me cry. I love Steven, I think he's a genius and one of the best composers alive. This album is just perfect

  • Poison For the Fairies

  • this song, like many others on insurgentes, seemed to elude me at first but now always evokes some of the profound emotions.

    steven wilson is unbelievably genious

  • @Ghostleon4 I Agree!

  • Goosebumps!!

  • Steven, forgive us for listening to your music on youtube.

  • @MrLosfuegos Indeed dude...

  • @MrLosfuegos As long as you go out and buy the album...he will forgive you

  • @MrLosfuegos Steven said in the "Insurgentes" movie - "All I want - is to my music to be heard..."

  • What to say bout Wilson ! He is just different !

  • had to hold myself off from crying to this song

  • @MyFavoriteScars me too. every time.

  • @MyFavoriteScars I couldn't hold it.

  • you can totally hear, how steven wilson got influenced by pink floyd in this song.

  • I think I'm in heaven.

  • T-T

  • Is In Spanish, "Veneno Para Las Hadas" --> "Poison For The Fairies" is the translation.

Great Album and the name is the best, inspired in the longest avenue in Mexico City.

    my city.

  • … this piece is a perfect art of dreaming nightime.. *sigh*

  • i love this song..I use the nickname "Hada" and when i saw he has a song named like this i was shocked, because he is my favorite artist!!! :)))

  • This song is from another world. Steven was there.

  • great song on a really great album. excellent composition

  • I love the song, but its very similar to 'Sky moves sideways' from Porcupine Tree.

The song is still great though, and so is Steven ^^

  • @malaguida i have to agree with you there Steven Wilson is a musical genus

  • @moveEcritik its not really that similar to SMS IMO...

  • @sprawler2121 The 3 chords at the beginning (Am, G, F) are the same you have at 4:39 of "TSMS phase 1" ("I find that I'm not here" on the US version (which is also the first song of the live album "We lost the skyline")). Enough for them to be similar, IMO ^^

  • @malaguida The opening chords are the same, the timing is the same, its a reference in a way, or maybe a creative exercise, either way he does it alot. other examples are trains and sentimental, many portions of .3 (in absentia), normal and sentimental.

  • @malaguida I agree, it's very similar to the beginning. But I think it's the nicest part of the song, so I love that he released a song with a solemn focus on that beautiful part.

  • @malaguida That's definitely not a bad thing ;)

  • @malaguida That's what I thought it was immediately when I heard it.

  • @malaguida Its exactly the same chords. And why not. A Minor-G-F.

  • @malaguida It may have paid homage to it, because it is exactly the same chords and execution used in "The Sky Moves Sideways"

  • ... shiver go up his spine, leaving ruts in the soul ...

  • This song transports me to a whole different place when I listen it, it causes something special, Wilson's work on the ambiance of the track is simply impressive.

  • I think i like the insurgents album better than most PT

  • Amazing song, now it's just matter of watching the movie which inspired it.

  • This song is one of my favourites done by Steven Wilson. In matter of fact, off any songs I ever heard. Just beatiful, gave me goosebumps every time I listen it. Steven Wilson is amazing artist. Hope I will see him live again soon.

  • great!

  • This and Insurgentes are my favorite tracks from the album, and this album is among my favorite of any album of any musician I've heard

  • @adrian5b

same for me they are two of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

  • this song is Deep ! I Love it

  • When the piano first comes in, I always get the goosebumps.. Always. Magnificent song.

  • I love the aural vocals in the background that come in at 2:22.

  • awesome song

  • Poison for fairies.

  • I do agree

  • one of the best songs written...
