  • Great performance! But like he says in the intro, if you listen fools. And there are many. A wiseman once said "the only thing more pathetic than a fool are the followers of the fool"...

  • This is an experience on 100% volume with a soundcard + solid headphones. IT TEARS INTO YOUR SOUL

You'd think that Ronnie had a fuckin whistle register hearing him slide up so high in such an already high octave.

  • I was there

  • R.I.P Ronie james Dio

your voice, will never be forgotten

thanks for the Blows in our ears

    Dio live

  • This reminds me of something I saw on VH1 Classic; the top 100 bands of all time, and the band being highlighted was Black Sabbath/HnH. Sebastian Bach of skid Row was interviewed, and he specifically spoke about this concert. He said he watched the DVD of it, and almost starting crying because their performance was so powerful; Dio's singing was so clean, clear, spot on & amazing. After watching this video, I'm almost exactly in the same place...

  • Close your eyes and listen to that freight train bearing down on your soul. No reason to run...you can't get away.

RIP Dio. God must be pissed with all that rockin' you and Powell are doing in hell. Let him bitch. See you in a few years, brother. I'm not bringing my earplugs, either.

  • Talking about being in the fucking 'zone'. These guys had to be cumming in their pants playing this shit. Unreal.

  • If there were any Dislikes on the bar I'd lose my faith in humanity.

  • R.I.P. Ronnie

  • November 4th, 2011, Mob Rules hits 30 years old. let's make this anniversary one to remember my spending the day enjoying EVERY song from this great album! upload covers of your favorite songs, spam these videos with views and keep Dio alive by keeping the horns raised in his name! "Metal Will Never Die" indeed!

  • So... Just to see what all the hubub was about, I watched The Edge of Glory. I could only stand about 45 seconds before I felt like lighting myself in fire and start stabbing myself in the face. It would have been less painful. I'll be alright after watching this.... and a long shower.

  • Mob rules was in my walkman for years, miss you RJD.

  • This is not music. This is pure fucking power!

  • I have goose bumps on fucking goose bumps!!!!!!! WOW man!!

    Geezer is BAD ASS!!

  • If God has only one Elvis Presley and James Brown, he will never do another Ronnie James Dio

  • @00:24 "bro, im not even mad"

  • WOW Tony's tone is fuggin MASSIVE!! Kudos to the sound guy!

  • Man, his wail in the beginning gives me chills up my spine. By far the best metal singer now and forever. R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio!

  • \m/ R.I.P Dio!!!!!

  • @1:03 one can see Ronnie is in the fucking zone. AWESOME!!!! I miss him so much.

  • :10 damn i never knew Dio could shriek like that.

  • Comment removed

  • It is better than ozzy sabbath by ten times

  • R.I.P DIO you will always be in the heart of every metal fan

  • HOLY SHIT! I didn't know Dio could hit such a high note!

  • Crushing!

  • It still boggles my mind that Toni Iommi is missing his finger tips

  • @rambryj I was thinking the same thing. He plays better than someone with 7 fingers. Great quality vid!

Tiny body, HUGE pipes!!! RIP Ronnie...

  • EPIC fokin screeeeemmm @ :10 RIP (ROK in peace) Bro \m/

  • I've gotten 3 speeding tickets thanks to this song.

  • God, I love this tune, probably my favorite Sabbath tune, along with Neon Knights!! This is one of those songs that I can never hear enough or cannot be played too loud. :-)

  • Holy shit, him and my dad are the same age. There's no way my dad could have that much energy at one time.

  • Today marks the one year anniversary of Ronnie James's passing. You are still sorely missed my friend, but you will forever live in the hearts of millions. RIP.

  • I cannot believe Ronnie has been gone a year.

  • Were you all aware that it's already been almost a year now that he passed?

    What a sad anniversary.

    :'(

I never got to see him live...

  • The late, great Ronnie James Dio. What a voice; what a man. This man truly loved and appreciated his fans. We miss you, Ronnie. Gone but definitely never forgotten!!!

  • @iago1616 who is ronnie james?

  • ronnie was one of the best! the metal world misses him! R.I.P. RONNIE

  • cool..the original line up from that era !!!!

  • i was playing Maximum Carnage on snes the other day i realized a 16-bit version of this song is on the second boss on the roof

  • jesus....i just LOVE THAT slight fucking pause TONY puts in at 1:31...fuckin awesome....just knocks your mouth to the ground

  • THE CROWD LOOKS SO FUCKING DEAD THERE

IF I WERE THERE, I'D BE HEADBANGING AND MOSHING ALL OVER THE PLACE TO THIS!!!!

  • Tony's look at 0:23 and Vinnie'sat 1:51 pretty much some up this song...they look like..."WE WILL BEAT YOUR ASS...WE ARE THE ORIGNATERS...TAKE YOUR FU SHIT METAL AND SHOVEIT UP YOUR FUCKING ASS!"

  • 0:13 Jeezus...not a bad scream for a retired guy, eh? 0 dislikes on this vid. Maybe humans are getting smarter, and....

    DIO STILL ROCKS!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Did anyone else notice that Dio kept his mic in his right hand the whole concert long? :)

  • That scream at the beginning is flat-out jaw-dropping.

65 years old, and he makes 99% of all metal singers sound like rank amateurs.

The man was born to sing, just like Buddy Rich was born to play drums and Jimi Hendrix was born to play guitar.

We won't see his like for a LONG time. I feel so privileged that I got to see him live six times (twice solo, and four times with Heaven and Hell).

I just wish I'd met him.

  • Amazing. That's a 65 year old man tearing it up. There's not a band out there today that could touch these guys, average age 61. LOL

  • @apologeticsman also, in addition to my previous post, you have to admit that the "classics" did what SoaD and all those newer ones did a good 20-30 years earlier. Again IMHO, there is no recent band that could come up with something really, genuinely new that hadn't been done before by the "pioneers".

Again, just to make my point and keep the peace, I am not anti-any-other-band. Everything stated here is just IMHO. I mean no offense. To each their own.

    \m/ \m/

  • @apologeticsman These are things open for debate. I'm not in a position to say which band can or can not enter "Hard Rock Heaven". IMHO, SoaD may be good but it doesn't have the "classic" status that those other bands have. I think we can agree that the impact that H&H, Purple, Zeppelin, etc. had on music is sth. that probably no "new" band can ever achieve any more. Like I said, it doesn't mean that all others are "bad", they just don't have much on the "classics"... all IMHO.

    Peace & Rock!

  • Dio isnt dead! He just went to heaven to teach God how to rock!

    keep em up \m/

  • That scream he does at the beginning gives me chills every time. He had such an amazing and powerful voice.

  • @37rod37 Yes (wo)man, I hear your, I always have to justify myself, "Oh look at you still sticking to that old stuff, you're sooo yesterday..." But then they constantly fail to show me anything at all that would be worth listening to (at least over extended periods of time). I think I don't need to justify myself...

@KidsOnCampus2 I must admit, I don't know King's X too much (barely, actually), but my list was not meant to be exhaustive (hence the "etc." :)) You get my drift, the good stuff...

  • Such a shame. He had so much more to give, but at the same time he left us with a lifetime of awesomeness. RIP

  • The look on Dio's face @0.53 says it all. "Boy's. We are in the fucking zone!!"

  • Great quality, great song...great performance.

  • that opening scream made my mouth drop

  • i got to say dio's voice is strongest here in this song

  • Tony is looking like Cristopher Walken, lol... "Sleepy Hollow" headless horseman, haha.. Hugs from Brazil! R.I.P Dio!

  • better than that shit we call music now

  • Just pure epicness man! R.I.P. Dio! You may be gone, but your music will live on forever.

  • epic roar? yess!!!

  • How the hell did he hit those notes at that age, with such power and force?!

  • Dear god, give us back Ronnie James Dio, We'll give you justin bieber AND eminem.

  • @MrStewietheking

Hearing about Justin Bieber on these videos are becoming old man. It needs to stop. I hate him just as much as anybody, but I hate hearing about him when listening to these awesome songs just as much.

  • This is the second song into the set and look on DIO's face let's everyone know the band was in the fucking 'zone'. They were brilliant!!

  • I just got this Boxed Set yesterday. All I can say is Beautiful !!! This show was fucking EPIC !!!!

  • This is not rock and roll this is pure power!

  • hello, is there someone who plays guitar here, can anyone help me out?

    i have a question:

i know tony usually tunes his guitar down by 1/2 step. but here, it seems his sg is tuned normal, when you look how he plays the a chord etc. it would also make sense b/c he plays the rest of the concert with another (downtuned, i assume) guitar. am i wrong here? is he playing this song with standard tuning?

    thanks.

    \m/ \m/ to all.

  • may Dio rock in heaven for ever

  • At 0:17, Geezer is like "Take THAT, cymbal!!" :))

The whole show is f###ing interstellar!!

  • i meant Vinnie, of course... and 0:16

  • @PterodactylMK1

    LOL!

  • This may be the best Heavy Metal Guitar Riff of All Time.

  • It amazes me how those "old guys" can easily wipe out any hard rock or metal act from at least the last 2 decades. Seriously, name any act from the last 20-25 years that can even remotely keep up? H&H are/were in their 50's and 60's, but they kick all the new stuff's butt without even trying. I'm not anti-new-stuff, I like some of it, RATM, Linkin Park, etc., but this right here is just the shit. Nothing comes close to the old masters, H&H, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Metallica, etc.

  • @PterodactylMK1

I was born in 92 and all I listen to is old music... {:-)

  • @mechaghostman2 Same here man and I'm just 2 years behind ya. Been into the Beatles since I was 12, Zeppelin when I was 13, Sabbath since I was 14.....

  • @PterodactylMK1 I mostly agree...with the exception of King's X! ;)

  • @PterodactylMK1 Same here, that's what I say to my buddy when he asks me ''why do you still listen to that old stuff''' I just tell him '' why listen to people who were inspired or play like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zepplin etc.I'll listen to the originals insted thanks'' Again like you said, I have nothing against new stuff either....

  • @PterodactylMK1 Sorry, System of a Down is easily as versatile and energetic as Dio or AC/DC

  • @PterodactylMK1! AMEN TO THAT BRO!!!

  • @gutrench1977 Thanks! :)

  • @PterodactylMK1

    Completely agree, and I'm 18.

  • @mechaghostman2 Thanks man, and it's good to know there are some younger guys 9and hopefully, gals) out there that still listen to the "right" music!

  • @PterodactylMK1 1 add\n to that fine list...THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!......KISS!!!!!!!!

  • @MrEODTEK Again, it's not up to me who should or should not be on that list. Personally, I never liked Kiss. They are too average, focusing too much on show and not enough on music. The bands I mentioned all did something new for Rock and Metal. This is why I think they should be there. Kiss, I don't believe they did anything "revolutionary", they don't have a unique style, no outstanding instrument players or frontman, etc. Not to discredit them. All IMHO. Don't take this too serious. Peace.

  • @PterodactylMK1 Dream Theater?

  • and this was the same guy from Ronnie & The Prophets from the early 60's

  • That scream in the beginning made my balls explode

  • 0:12

    That screech is God-like!!!!

RIP Dio & Long Live Rock N' Roll

  • Both Ronnie and Ozzy were 2 of the best frontmen in all of music. They both brought their own sound and style that made great.

  • At least Ronnie doesn't need a teleprompter to remember the lyrics. Ozzy....well....if you've seen him live, you'd know.

  • you guys can say what you want but i think ozzy is a way better frontman...hate if you will, i dont give a fuck.

  • @xXeddie92Xx yes Ozzy is a better frontman if you fancy a grown man pulling his pants down and spreading his ass cheeks for all to see his balloon knot

  • I first heard this song on the "Heavy Metal" soundtrack back in '81. STILL kicks WAY too much ass!!!!!

  • The very best of the Dio era Sabbath. It's not better than Ozzy Sabbath. It's not worse, either. It's different. Like apples and oranges. Tony didn't reallly fiddle with the tremolo before Ronnie mixed it up with the band. Makes me drive too fast when I crank it on the i-pod. It's all power.

  • @joecuervo71 Nah, it's WAY better than crackhead ozzy.

  • @joecuervo71 I personally prefer Dio Sabbath :D so much more of a performer and front man is his voice is orgasmic :D

  • @joecuervo71

Ozzy is, and always will be, a talentless diva. DIO lived, and died, for the METAL.

  • I CAN FINALLY HEAR THAT BASS! BUTLER!

  • This song kick me in the gut when I first heard it....still epic to me!

Rip Dio, you will never be forgotten

  • RIP Ronnie J.D. The little man with the HUGE voice! I'm just glad I got to see him live at least once.

  • @PBGas34 me too (:
