As for college students ruining this city: they do create trash. Although it's generally cleaned back up by other students. They also dont take care of the apartments they live in, but...I've volunteered many places around the burgh. Sadly, I don't see many other locals volunteering. It's generally 75% college students coming to lend a hand in ALL varieties of service to the city from helping residents, tutoring local students, cleaning the streets, lending a hand in local walks and races, etc

If someone sprays your private property, you should shoot them, but most graf taggers hit what you saw, bridges and overpasses. I would never hit 3 things. Private property, others possesion, (cars and shit, without permission), and businesses that are still in operating status. If you don't want taggers hitting near your home, talk with local officials about establishing a legal wall. cheers

I put this video up to show what the jail trail looked like at one point. Go look at the wall at the bottom of the hot metal bridge. Its been painted over with grey paint in the forms of boring dull squares. That is not attractive at and makes it look worse then the amazing pieces it once had. Just because this is true, however, doesn't mean you have to contribute to the problems. There's no question to the economic impact graffiti has on an area. Google it sometime. As for college students ruining this city: they do create trash. Although it's generally cleaned back up by other students. They also dont take care of the apartments they live in, but...I've volunteered many places around the burgh. Sadly, I don't see many other locals volunteering. It's generally 75% college students coming to lend a hand in ALL varieties of service to the city from helping residents, tutoring local students, cleaning the streets, lending a hand in local walks and races, etc

Why not be a leader instead of a follower and say, "Hey, I'm going to start a group where we can share our art work without destroying public property."
