I've heard chlorinated, or tap water, isn't very good for ducks. Is that true or just a rumor?

@blueoctopede - I have reared all my duckling on tap water, and have never had any problems. My adult ducks also have their ponds filled with tap water from the hose and again no problems. I think it is probably just one of those 'it must be bad' rumours with no real evidence.

they are fine in water that deep at that age, i have a mother duck and her 8 ducklings at the moment and she has been taking them onto the pond from day one.
Exactly what wild mother ducks do too!

yes he imprinted on me and thinks i'm his mum, he's grown up now but used to follow me everywhere and would call out if i left him.

ducks, especially ducklings, always deficate when they first get into water. He isnt scared just wasnt used to water so deep so he didnt knwo what to do!
