The only thing I didn't like about this video is that I can't hear his guitar, I think the compressor he's using is killing his tone. it's like cutting in/out and it makes his playing hard to hear. He needs to either take the compressor/Noise Gate off, or turn off the reverb..

Or better yet, plug into the audio input his mic's in so we can hear him easier/better.

Still, a great lesson for newbs to metal playing. Lots of great basic riffs.

@darkjedi1993 Metal can be played in any tune. Metallica, megadeth, and Sabbath are mostly in E tuning. In this video he talks about how those bands add to the basic open palm muting riffs. To be true, that riff sounded a bit like a slowed down slayer riff, and it was really cool.
