Funny scene. It seemed that Krystle started most of these fights with Alexis. You would think that Alexis would start carrying a gun or learned judo or some other way to protect herself. Dynasty came to rely on these "catfights" to juice up ratings. The fights even expanded to include Sammy Jo against Fallon and Amanda. Good stuff!

Actually this was the 1985/86 season and Dynasty experienced a slight recovery in ratings (and it was slight). This was the Ben Carrington storyline and it was considered well put together. Unfortunetly this set of writers were replaced during 1986/87 by another group and..well..the rest is history

The Moldavia storyline didn't kill Dynasty. The new writing team hired to write the wedding resolution was old hand at soaps. Not bad but not up to par with what earlier writers had done. Their inability to deal with Joan's absence and the knee jerk reaction of assigning Krystle's character Alexis' plotline. It wasn't the story, it was those in charge that did it in.
