i have a foxconn motherboard(a7gm-s) and the "cpu" temp on most temp software is more or less stuck in the 38-42c range no matter what im doing. this happens in foxone and speedfan. i think thats the chipset temp or something. the only software that reads the temps right is amd overdrive, it reads the temp of each core separate. i have a saphire 4830, works great.
It's supposedly a 790GX chipset problem according to Foxconn, but I don't trust them at all. Yeah all different software gets different readings but BIOS temps show 100%. Even with latest BIOS.
why does every gmer thats posting on youtube sounds like fat people? im not trying to be mean here so im sorry but its just like that. the other gamer too speaks slow
K well ts pretty obvious that your BIOS is reading wrong because at 255C your cpu would literally be on fire. But the other program you used sounds wrong to because its seem a bit to cool. Did you over clock your CPU or did it come factory over clocked?
Onboard for now, saving for a HD 4830 most likely. Well get a better video if I get the job I'm trying to get, thus new PSU + better video card maybe even 4870. 0_o
Nice system other than the temp issue. I can't say I know what it is but I wonder if the CPU has a bad sensor in it? Flash the BIOS to the latest? Oh and the 4830 ain't bad for the price I was surprised to see how cheap they are.
all i can say if you haven't done already is to try downloading all temp reading programs. coretemp(my fave), nxsensor, speedfan, everest, hwmonitor. etc. and find one that possibly gives correct temps. because those are just whack.
Most likely when I get a job, also my monitor will be bigger so I'll need more juice too pump it out at those big resoultions. I'm looking at minimum 19" 1440 x 900.

Woah I tried CoreTemp and it said my CPU was a 1.8 GHz, temps are more realistic at 25 to 30 idling.
Yoda8232 3 years ago
try to disable cool n quiet? that might be throttling it back when idle to 1.8ghz. and yeah with your cooler 25 to 30 idle is a fair temp.
joshua12345676 3 years ago
It's wrong lol, all my other programs are different.
That's why I said the temps are more realistic haha. :P
Yoda8232 3 years ago
did you try to disable cool n quiet, still?
