the hands serve for alot of purposes, to keep time and to really feel the music...also from a singer's point of view, it's really good to get your entire body moving when singing, it helps the energy flow..

As a singer I was always taught not to do unnecessary movement with hands or which ever part of the body but I agree it might help the energy flow even though you should be abel to do it standing still. You can do anything with just imagining and emit the voice and energy.

It's distracting for the audience... even though they sing BEAUTIFUL I got stuck on the hands, maybe it's my problem...
