I know how to make the freeze frame but I don't know how to tie it to a specific spot so it doesn't move with the camera.

@TheBodasity First you do the freeze frame then you rotoscope him out (delete the background) then motion track (if you don't know what it is Google it) it so that he is floating in the air then do that a few times basic AE stuff.

@oldfred1000 It's not a preset or something you can just achieve by applying a effect. You must stop the video, cut out the skier, apply a track-motion (so that your out-cut doesn't move from its location), then repeat this. It's time consuming and hard work to achieve this.

@oldfred1000 its the twixtor plug in, it adds frames to slow video effects down. you need to shoot in R3 60fps, and it works best with plain backgrounds, without much movement, otherwise you see warping. it is a cheat way of getting super slow motion, but hell does it look good

yeah abe! great edit, and it is captured by the gopro, you just need to capture in 60 fps and render the clips to 60 fps in cinema tools before you edit them in final cut, otherwise they will just be 24 or something and you cant get as crisp slo mo
