I agree completely. These commercials are a joke. The reactions from the "real people" are so clearly scripted. If you're in a restaurant with a friend eating a burger, I don't care how good it is, you're talking to your dinner companion about everything other than the food. You're not going on about how great the burger is.
Another obvious giveaway is that the "real people" are familiar with the fast food chain providing the food once it's revealed. Carl's Jr. and Hardee's "Six Dollar Burgers" debuted in 2001 - they were so named because they were the kind of burger "you'd expect to pay six dollars for at a sit-down restaurant." So viewers are supposed to believe that the "real people" are familiar with the chain and the burger, but don't recognize them by their taste until after it's revealed. Fake!
And finally! If these commercials were filmed in any state other than Wyoming or Oklahoma, I again cry "Fake!" Wyoming and Oklahoma are the only states with both Hardee's and Carl's Jrs. in them, and the ad agency's making-of video implies they built just one fake restaurant for commercials for both chains. If the commercials were shot in, say, California where there are only Carl's Jrs., most "real people" would not be familiar with Hardee's at all.
This is BS. I bought into it, until I got to someone who used the word "Hardee's" when the others had said "Carl's Jr".
With the restaurant apparently being in one location throughout, and thw two chains being on opposite sides of the country, it makes no sense that customers in one locale would speak of BOTH brands. Obviously fake.
they changed the cam angle when he says hardee's so that means he actually said carl's jr and they changed it for the east
FAKE!
but i still love carl's jr.
