@ftgforlie The front lip looks like the one installed factory on the 1990 Subaru Loyale RS. I didn't know such a car existed until I paid $350 for one two days ago. I've owned 14 Subarus over the course of 12 years and this is the first Loyale RS I've seen. The Subaru XT might have had the same spoiler but I'm not certain about it.
wow was that a ford torino at the very beginning of the vid? my dad had one of those back in '72... and he had a GL-10 back '85. if my dad saw this vid it would have been a nostalgic experience...
Yes it was, except that one is a '76. How interesting that he owned versions of both vehicles in this clip. You should show him the video just to see his reaction!
@CorvusCasull ahaha i just watched your other vids with the torino. ah the memories. i still recall cold winters where my dad told me to stick a screwdriver into the butterfly on the carb to hold it open so that it would start O_o
I agree. It just wasn't financially possible to make it reliable; the XT drivetrain wasn't going to stand up to the new engine for much longer. The owner has another newer Subaru that he's swapping the engine into, and that car has all the right stuff to hold up. For him, the engine makes much more sense in his RS than in this old wagon. Oh well.
I want that front lower bumper!!

No idea. I'm thinking it was made by the previous owner.

Oh, is that what you guys are talking about? I thought he meant the strange little metal bumper/guard. That thing looked custom made.
I've never owned a Subaru, but have three friends that are huge fans of them. (Especially the owner of the Loyale in this video!)

and too bad the ej25 couldn't stay in the loyale... what a sleeper it would have been. that is, if you could somehow hide that intercooler lol

I agree 100%. It was such a ridiculous car/swap. I always thought the intercooler made it look like a kid with braces, or a diver.
