  • jesus this is so simple, why the fuck didnt i think of this

  • This is a game changer. It's got way better traction than mecanum wheels.

  • it looks like there small scale prototypes for future tanks

  • how is this new?

  • Half a year before this becomes the latest japanese sex toy.

  • Interesting concept.

  • I wonder if i can stick my dick in that soft tube XD

  • Next Subaru impressa WRX STI should have these mechanism and back to WRC next year !!!

  • The omni ball wheel reminds me of batman the dark night's bat pod

    watch?v=FPaTv98wUsE @ 2:08

  • Dyson must be over the moon.

  • Now we won't be able to run around tight corners when we are trying to avoid the robots when Skynet activates,

  • So basically its a Fordson/Armstead Snow Motor design but without the auger type wheels, and it can go sideways?

Those little gaps in those omni ball track things looks like they could pick up a lot of sand, dirt and pebbles over time greatly impeding it's performance if it caked up.

  • Japanese Tanks will be able to dodge incoming attacks easily

  • 2:27 that makes a good dildo.

  • It would be nice if this could be used for cars too. Like the Audi in the movie "I Robot".

  • A ball cut in half and one of those tube toys, they are taking the piss.

  • omni directional tanks! :D

  • great idea, great implementation.

  • I remember have an idea for something like this back in middle school...

Its cool someone actually made it!

  • @0rderSol I'm pretty sure these designs have been thought of before you ever reached middle school.

  • awesome device.

  • and this is why America sucks in technologies . when u have people like this thinking outside the box . !!!!!!!! well done

  • @KICKROCKS561 You have to either be extremely naive or monumentally stupid for believing that crap you just typed. Look up Rhex by Boston Dynamics if you want outside the box thinking! This toy still relies on the concept of spherical wheels to get around, Rhex doesn't. It is tough enough to still work perfectly after being thrown down Hills/Mountains as well as swim to help study marine life, check ship hulls, or be a scout/spy for the military with it's cameras and sensors.

  • nice tank!!

  • хачу! )))

    Где купить? 0_о

  • HOLY FUCK GUYS ITS THE SHAGOHOD PROTOTYPE!

  • Can we get these in shoes? Cause that would be awesome

  • 1:56 so If I put my penis inside?... thank you thank you, I'll take my nobel price now

  • sience :)

  • Shopping-carts had this problem solved pretty much since their invention. I'm not impressed.

    Also, the picking-up-tube thing is just a flesh-light without a flash-light disguise.

  • Americans are responsible for Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Americans are responsible for what happened in Vetnam,

Americans are responsible for destructing two countries i e Afghanistan and Iraq and in a result destablized two regions.

    Americans are historical criminals.

  • @TanvirMehmood Afghanistan was a shithole pre-america.

  • how long until we have the cars on I, robot??

  • why the hell did I laugh so hard when it ran over the shoe

  • Genial...!! todos los días sacan algo nuevo..!!!

  • Tinha que ser japones!!!!!!

  • this could be use for tanks..

  • i'd like to have that crawler hand wrap around my ....

  • ...But will it blend?

  • Can't wait for this technology to become a vehicle standart, like in I, Robot

  • @TheSektorz No Thanks,I want to keep my aftermarket rims on the car....=)

  • @raw9133 What are you going to do with them when side-moving and that sort of parking becomes a standart? If this goes on it's highly possible that in a few years the current type of wheels will be out of date and illegal. :]

  • I-Robot cars will become a reality soon

  • pretty cool!

  • here comes the car from I Robot

  • didn't the cars in minority report have wheels like these?

  • I love every reengeneering of the good ol' wheel, really cool!

and it's strange that no one commented on the sucking possibilities of the latest prototype in the video. Where are all the other pervs and kids?

On a side note I love how the Ultra Realistic Dental Training Robot keeps showing and it will until the end of time, with that naughty thumb, hahahaha

  • An omni directional planar surface would have great uses for v.r installations

  • Revolutionary!

  • This is epic, I want one of those robots, and if they could integrate the "wheels" into some vehicles that would be awesome!!!

  • mitsubishi mmr25 concept car uses similar tech - but looks much nicer

  • They reinvented the wheel

  • Nice. Now we can have Tachikoma legs. Let's go for the rest of the thing.

  • i love that shit!

  • This is pretty bad ass, of course I get all excited thinking of the possible applications.. probably be a pain the ass to work on.

I wonder if you could apply this to a larger scale, like mining or forestry or construction equipment, or hell even mechs?

  • cool treads, this reminds me of screw-propelled vehicles like russian zil... not as fancy and probably didn't work as well on hard surfaces as this one, but still pretty crazy looking vehicles from the 40's... wiki screw-propelled for more crazy vehicles!

  • I want a skate with those wheels~

  • Neat.

  • Now even Asians can drive x'D

  • Better than mecanum wheels??!?!?

  • 0:28

    UGH

    YEAH

    EAT THAT, SHOE

  • hmmm it seems like it's going slower when its going straight, anyway they can fix that?

Besides that the prototype seems awesome :D

  • AWESOME

  • This is kinda like the system used in a prototype tank Americans made in the 50's-60's, never understood why we didn't stick with it.

  • @OICProductions Are you talking about those tanks that had like, literally big screws on each side? Also I'd say it was do to field repairs... cost.

  • Awsome

  • Reminds me of the Shagohad from Metal Gear Solid 3 :), cool little guy, can't wait to see the future vehicles with these tyres on them, great work Japan.

  • literally the best upload ever

  • future of tanks?

  • asians... the coolest people in the world!

  • @rotenburk LOL Your comment has so many fails.

  • @kylehyde28 how is it a fail? perhaps you are just ignorant.

  • @rotenburk You're actually calling an ignorant? Talk about a pot calling the kettle black. "[A]rabs are also asians yet most of them are terrorists." Where have you acquire that idea from? Most? So, basically, you're saying that about 4/5 of all the Arabs are terrorists? Superabsurdness! "Asians are responsible for the 9/11 attack." /facepalm

I think you need to educate yourself a little more. What an obtuse person...

  • @rotenburk Technically you are correct, the Middle East does comprise Western Asia. But is that really a point worth making?

You have to admit though, the Japanese come up with some very cool gear...

  • @whatnottobe please say Japanese.

  • @YO18873 thats what i meant

  • They need to make UGV's like this!

  • expect to see this in an rc car in 2-5 years.

  • Nice, That is realy usefull!

  • Brilliant! Imagine a Tank able to move like that. It'd make it a hard target to hit!

  • @Topdoginuk I think there was an anime of that......TANK POLICE!!!

  • i love how they're making all this rover tech - japan dominating space in future missions!

  • seems pretty simple , want to see more from it in future, maybe an large version of it it will be cool .

  • it's nice to have car with that mechanism :D

    easy to do parking
