Howdy. I'm looking at the 278mm circle-d converter for my (5.3/3.73/g-80) 2wd gmc with bolt-ons. I see it definitely helps off the line, but how much higher does it land after shifts compared to the stock converter? I don't want a 4000 stall in my daily/semi-work truck either. Thanks.
@lcarrasco212 A stall is a torque converter that has a higher stall speed than stock. basically it lets the engine spin up to a higher rpm than the stock converter alows. Its requires taking the transmission out and replacing the stock one to do.
The lpps are really smooth sounding thru the stock exhaust. I know they will change with a different muffler, I just haven't decided what I want yet. I find they sound the same as my pacesetters did on my old truck, go look at my vids and you will see a tan truck in a field that will give u a good idea what they sound like with a magnaflow. I get 14ish in town with a heavy foot so it pretty good considering the mods I have.
