maybe u can work on the tone...improve it.because i play clarinet and alto saxophone.. hope that u can post more videos so everyone can see your improvement.fascinating actually to see a girl playing alto sax...keep it up girl.
Give her a break. She's 12. I know adults that can't do that well. I'm sure many can think of tips. Breathing can be helped by practicing just playing notes and holding them, etc. If you're really interested, I'll only suggest getting individual instruction and keep practicing.
Hey, a tip from a fellow saxophonist: try not to take so many breaths, it makes this song a little choppy, and a song like Yesterday is meant to be smoother, unless you play it as a funk like my combo does occationally(: but other than that, you've got a great future! keep up the good work!
@MrProZombie i'm sorry for not responded to this earlier i didnt see this comment. I have a selmer bundy II saxophone and a educator mouthpiece. its made of hard rubber. and i think by "leave" you mean "reed" and my reed is a rico royal brand number 2 in thickness. hope this helped:)
Man, you are .... need to work on that tone and playability... and tell me your setup, because i am also a saxophonist played for about two years and you would be surprised on me being first chair in the advanced band as a freshman so if you need tips you can ask
@ciscoj8 Ik...I'm playing with a somewhat beginner-ish group and i didn't want to mess everybody up with grace notes, vibrato etc...... that would be to confusing for every1 ..... plz c some of my other videos, as I'm much better in those, and I've improved more after those were posted. Thx for offering ur tips. :)
