  • nice presentation. My wife and I are making this right now. It's a great idea to put a laptop in the kitchen for these videos. thanks for posting.

  • NOOOOO the fat is the falver. also you could have just have made the gravey in the container the turkey was in!!!

  • Just like momma use to do it!!!

  • I agree MUCH better lady than RRay. this recipe kicks ass, the best simplist gravy I've ever tried. THANKS!

  • I did your gravey and WOW, it was the best gravey I had ever made. I will always use this.

    Thanks a million!

  • This is really easy, thanks. I will let you know how it goes lol.

  • Couple of points: 1) Use turkey stock when making turkey gravy, not chicken stock. You may not even need stock if you have enough drippings after roasting. 2) After you've mixed the flour into the drippings, stir in the stock SLOWLY to avoid lumps. Use a whisk to make it easier. She makes it seem like you can just pour it in, but it's no so, you have to add it slowly.

  • I agree except that turkey stocks are not easy to find, unlike chicken stock, unless you want to make it from scratch; that's if you have 8 hours to devote to it.

  • Very true. You can always order turkey stock online, and sometimes Whole Foods has it. Usually when I make a turkey, especially if I use a bag, there is enough broth to make gravy...but you have to make sure you skim off all the fat or it's too greasy. BTW, try grilling a turkey some time, using the indirect heat method and placing a drip pan underneath. The resultant gravy is amazing.

  • @yeahnotsomuch1 Just mix the flour with cold water, about a cup and stir in the flour and you won't get lumps. after the cup is mixed add another cup of water and fold in as the recipe calls for with the drppings and viola, done.

  • You have a great presence on video. You should have your own show. I'd rather watch you than Rachel Ray.

  • Rachel Ray is more of a TV personality then a chef.

  • why does turkey gravy taste better than almost any other type of gravy??the only gravy that gives turkey gravy a run for its money is beef brown gravy.and both are super awesome
