  • These drills are awesome

  • got one of these for my dad for christmas :D

  • :22 is a description of my pecker

  • Check out the test vs. the HIlti and Dewalt posted as a response. Ouch

  • lol my mom packages them in uk :P

  • This drill is good if your a GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • Bought one about 2 weeks ago, I've used it on multiple jobs and i find my self admiring how comfortable the slim light weight design saves my arm at the end of the day.powerful and ergonomic .

  • ive got basically the next step up from this its got 2 leds and a hammer setting and a 3 speed varable setting system so you can drill with big paddle bits or basically walk small screws right into place

  • but it makes the gayest fary noise when you plug in the battery to charge.

  • are there any american made drills anymore or have we totally sold out our f#$%ing country all together ???

  • Thaht is one sweet tool, awesome power.

  • This drill looks golden. I heard these batteries only last about 8 months to a year with regular use though.

  • I have the makita 18 volt drill and 18 volt impact. Works awesome, light and alot of power, batteries last a long time. At my old job, one of my co-workers had a 18 volt dewalt and his batties would die out before mine, i'm serious.

  • Dewalt

  • I got this drill about a year ago .. .. fucking rocks!!! I'm a carpenter and Ive burt out two Dewalts 18v. this is so light & powerfull good all rounder when you have a lot to carry. I alsot has a GREAT belt clip attachment, trust me this is handy a fuck when your op a ladder and need to your hands etc. ... its so much easier than having a holster on yr tool belt.. ..

  • What is the difference between the BDF452RFE and BDF452HW, tha blue and white model. is the white model is made in China, while the blue model in Japan;

  • Bosch 18v has 500 in lbs torque.

  • There have been times when i need to finish a job and just 4 or 5 more screws would do it, i need a drill that can be pluged into a cord to finish the job, like a dc converter of sorts , i see what looks like a plug outlet on the handle of this drill ,is that what it is?

  • I just used one from another job site contractor and it is superior to my Dewalt. A very short nose for tight spaces and the light shines bright in dark places. Now I can see the work in dark tight places without holding/hanging a trouble light ! I am sold !

  • This is the the most hand-friendly unit out there.

The Impact driver is a must-have as well.

Like one chap said, " They got the ergonomics perfect on this drill" !

    .

Here's a tip, fellas, If you need to drive spade bits concrete or steel all day, go electric. Most all cordless are not designed for prolong abuse.

  • get a Fein or a Metabo guys, but no Li Ion !

  • sorry i have been an electrician for 15 yrs. i have watched many of these high priced pieces of crap go to the garbage while i was still using a ryobi that had been around for 8 yrs. when it died after some major abuse. when it died they made fun of me then i reminded them they only had their drill for 4-5 months whilst mine was 8 yrs. old. the laughing stopped. hyped up crap is just that hyped up crap.

  • @juggernautxtr you sir, were extremely lucky with your Ryobi, that's all. As a brand, Ryobi builds some of the poorest engineered, lightest duty tools around. If you keep betting on such a crap brand, it will surely let you down. Makita tools are some of the best built around. Along with Milwaukee, Bosch, DeWalt, which are other branded tools I've purchased. Good luck on your next Ryobi purchase... you're gonna need it.

  • @opsdaddy why i am on my second one and it's 5 yrs. old and still watching morons replace dewalts every year? you fail at proving anything.

sorry moron you wanna beleive the hype you go right the hell ahead and beleive that.

and i'll sit back and watch all you fools spending your money on overpriced crap.

  • @juggernautxtr No need to name-call, man. We just had different experiences, that's all. Doesn't make me or anyone else a moron. I like quality, and I'm willing to pay for it. Nothing more, nothing less. Grow up, man. Only teenagers and insecure adults name-call. Have a good one...

  • @opsdaddy go ahead and keep buying those rebranded black and decker drills(dewalt)

I got my ass reemed for buying milwakee cordless drills for my company cause they are crap.

bosch batteries have this little issue called under volting the motor(do not take a full voltage charge)

yup i'll go out and buy the hype when the hype turns out true.... oh by the way my ryobi is now 6 yrs old and have watch three guys on my jobs replace dewalts twice. guess that light duty ryobi still junk huh?

  • @juggernautxtr i agree. Ryobi rocks for the price. May not look as pretty as the others but will do the job. I drilled concrete holes only and thousands of them in my sign business installing signs and 4 years later my ryobi hammer drill finally died, the impact is still going strong. At $60 I really didn't expect it to last 6 months. Boy was I surprised.

  • @skjoyner ryobi is nasty

  • get a dewalt xrp nano, or a v28,if you want a real drill. i agree its made for small projects, makitas just cant handle heavy loads,or getting droped for that matter.

  • @dewalt23293 makita lxt is shit hay

  • fuck this drill is mint for drywall 3 pounds you can hold it in ur fucking mouth makita FTE

  • A couple years have now passed.

Time has shown these batteries do not last. Do a search on google and you will see.

I had a battery go out after 8 months of professional use.

My old Makita 18volt with NiMi batteries lasted for 3 years before a battery went bad.

Perhaps it's time for another Makita Model 6347DWDE.

  • visit makitadrill(.)com for all your makita needs

  • i have a over 10 year old makita that is still running as new. Though i´ve heard the newer ones might not be as sturdy

  • AY! Give my Makita back Mac!! :p

  • Makita Cordless Tools are proven in Automotive factories. Car manufacturer says only Makita can last long enough in tough assembilng usage condition. Bosch's are like a toy. Be smart to buy real professional tools!!

  • these drills burn out there good just they burn out to fast

  • I have one and I would say it OK but not the best. plus my charger stop working after 1yr. that sucked

  • i had the old makita 18volt from like 3 years ago and after like 1 year of usage of just wouldnt turn anymore i mean it would work inside but the head wouldnt turn

  • mate all my power tools are bosch professional series, and have never let me down that includes 24v cordless hammer/drill driver, 4" grinder, 10.8v li ion impact screwdriver. these tools get used to there full potenital everyday. Be smart buy quality tools that will last a lifetime.

  • its a pos just like all other makita products that get outclassed and undercut price-wise by many other competitors...considering that battery has like a 1.1 AH rating plus its life cycle is about 250 charges before it loses about 30 percent effectiveness...pass on that.

  • I've used and abused this drill for over a year. Commerical and home jobs. It's held up well. At first I thought the LED light was stupid, but have actually found it handy quite a few times now. I think they should make the chuck out of a stronger plastic, or metal because after many, many bit changes mine shows wear. I don't like that this drill is made in China, Makita use to be made in Japan. Hey Makita, stop making your tools in China!! That being said I know it's eventually going to break.

  • is great.but i won't pay 360 euros for it.

  • I am a professional carpenter, my tools are very important to me. I got this drill and impact driver from a guy who I did a side

job for. The best thing about this drill are the light and the chuck works pretty good. I stripped the gears out of the drill installing a lockset with a 7/8 spade bit and the charger shorted out and had to be replaced, this kit sucks, spend the extra money and buy a good set. The older makita stuff was good but the new stuff is junk.

  • sorry m8 i use this model every day and have had no problems also drilling for locksets along with an array of stressfull tasks for the machine, but i know how to use these tools properly so that could be your problem.

  • One drawback to these drills is that if you overtorque them in reverse (trying to remove an overly tightened hex bolt) the chuck can sieze the bit, and the black plastic ring is not strong enough to release the bit(the ring will break off from the chuck). This only happened to me once, but it ruined the drill. I probably should have broken the bolt with a rachet first, but I had 100% faith in the drill.

Apart from that, I would have to say: This is the best drill I have ever used.

  • Its okay, but.. the Hilti 14 Volt Lithium ion delivers 619 in/lb and a bigger battery!

  • Hilti tools are amazing, but I dont quite understand how a 14 volt battery is bigger than an 18 volt. Unless your talking about physically, which isn't a good thing. I just got the Makita LCT203W kit. Those little drill drivers are awesome. Small, light, 10.8 volt and the driver has over 800 lb/in

  • The number of volts isn't the whole story. Everyone gets hung up on voltages but that is just one aspect of a battery. More amp hours is critical for run time and cheap drills have low amp hour batteries to save money.

Also torque and speed are dependent on gearing.

  • But look how much more ££££ you pay for a Hilti? Makita is in my opinion value for money. Hilti are good but far far too expensive.

  • Just got one tonight :) Compact size and light weight, with full size torque and speed. 15 minute recharging time, and it fits just right in my hand. LED for dark situations. How can you go wrong?

I spent over a 1/2 hour at Home Depot puttsing around with different Dewalts, trying to find the right compromise... Then I tried this, and the choice was easy.

They got the ergonomics perfect on this drill! The only bummer is you have to buy a bit holder separately for $2.00.

  • Very nice Drill , Built my shed with this drill and it is great very light!!!!

  • Just went out and bought one today after watching this... Been looking at them for a while. Nice video!

  • KEWL!

  • thats a silky drill
