  • Google "Calabi-Yau Manifold".

  • I saw a Combine Gaming Club where people dressed as slugs and Combine were playing this game....Modded....normal....All parts....Doesnt matter how....I was like wtf.. THIS ASSKICKING GAME MUST PLAY IT!!!! (Me Now Sitting at one of the tables thinking it doesnt matter if i have all these games at home....i'll play the shit here surrounding the mother fucking combine...Unless Freeman comes)

  • HEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!! is somebody up there? we came down here to get away from the snipers....little did we know the place was infested....

  • "...I think they're still up there"

  • Ive putted this song to my L4D2 lobby song =3

  • Always wanted to help the wounded guy laying on that little plot of concrete. Who'd want to stay there isolated with zombie-infested water all around? Poor guy.

  • @DecayingxMoon I always blocked him in with boxes so zombies couldn't kill him.

  • This song makes me feel bad for the sea creatures, Stupid icthyiosaurs,,,

  • Dr. Judith Mossman, first you're biggest fan then a super spy who turns you in to the combine.

  • @R0CkkLOosteer112324 And then she turns out to be a triple agent.

  • Yikes, this is creepy.

  • man im gonna play hl2 again right now :D for the fourth or fofth time cant really tell for sure

  • @archaeopteryx91 i have played half life 2 like 6 or 7 times and i am still not bored of it

  • @liukang1378 Thanks to the HL2 Campaign gamemode on Garry's Mod I've played it nearer 50 times in the last year.

    TIME WELL SPENT.

  • is this in ep 1 or ep 2?

  • @TheCCG125 its Half life 2, not any of the episodes..this plays when u enter the builder where barney is pinned down

  • frst time you can hear this song is in vort camp, second in the basement of building in ruined City 17

  • Calabi-Yau: model used to describe the shapes of dimensions and the 'M' theory of the multiverse.

...must be relating something to the hopelessness you know that the rebels feel in trying to achieve something half of them don't think that they will never live to see.

  • @KoronofHearts Freedom.

  • Oh for those of you who dosen't know when this song played, it's played on. Chapter sandtraps when your in vortiguant camp

  • When was this song played?

  • The music title reflects an idea, or a feeling. Just because it's a soundtrack doesn't mean it should be named *place where it's played*; in fact, the music gives you an unspecific mental image of what you should be seeing when you hear it, not a detailed, specific moment.

    Also, Gordon is a physicist.

  • Feels like youre being stalked by zombies in Ravenholm

  • "HEEEEEEELP! IS SOMEBODY UP THERE? H-HELP ME!"

  • What the fuck is Calabi-Yau?

  • @MultiGman14 I think Judith explains about it in black mesa east right before you enter the elevator wich lowers you down to Eli's lab. I don't remember what she said but i know she mentioned it.

  • @madnezzcombat

I know when Judith say about tha. I just want to know what the fuck is Calabi-Yau.

  • @MultiGman14

Calabi-Yau is a mathematical model for ... explaining something which is related to 3-dimensionality and mirror symmetry. It's impossible to explain, infact. Best to see for your self.

    h t t p : / / en . wiki pedia. org / wiki / Calabi_Yau

  • @TheTwilightUnicorn

Wow, i can see that Valve really thinks mathemathicly and theoretical to make Half-life 2

  • @MultiGman14 No kidding.. Yet, I quite don't understand the relationship between an abandoned warehouse with slimy zombies in the basement and a mathematical dimensionality.

Moreover, I don't get most of the names anyway. Take Particle Ghost for example. What does that have to do with zombie-infested tunnel wherefrom you emerge to see beautiful oh so beautiful dawn illuminate your eye-glassed face?

Damn.... I should've gone to the university, would've understood Half-Life better LoL.

  • This is so creepy. I feel like "it" is watching me from all sides. O_O

  • This makes me feel scared, I don't know why

  • makes me feel like im being stalked

  • @nukedrabbit9 Hopefully there isen't a stalker in your closet

  • This game really inspired me to be a quantum physicist.....some of the music title are also terms in quantum mechanics.

  • @Hacker21ish are you a quantum physicist? what even is that?

  • @ShadowofMeadow A scientist who studies Quantum Mechanics.

  • @tehzombeh98 i have no idea what "quantum" means. ill go look it up now...

  • a Calabi-Yau manifold is a complex Kahler manifold with vanishing first Chern class

  • i dont think it's the dead oceans callin out...... [whispers to a rebel] i dont think all valve cutted all those scary enemys in hl2beta . i think the ichysour is here....somwhere

  • this music makes me shocked and scared. it reminds me of the crippled rebel bleeding out in the basement and how i could do nothing to save him..

  • I figure space would have a music like this...

  • Lol, string theory.

  • The soundscapes in this game (well these games) are so eerie; it's a shame most of the time they're too quiet to hear, or it's drowned out by the gunfire and shrieking.

  • @PoisonInc But lot's of the soundscapes are full of gunfire and shrieking. :D

  • This one's...strange. I'm not gonna say scary. It's just surreal.

  • is this in the music folder in the gcf?

  • @BCt0xiN yup should me

    music/hl2_song30.mp3

  • This is one of my favorite song, especially for the notes that kick in at 0:13.

Seriously, this is the track that defines dark side of the rebelling City 17 the best for me

  • It's like a darkest shadow in your bedroom, calling for you to come closer.....

  • @iamtehgame now that is kinda scary man, no offense

  • when you are in the abandon building there were a rebel or a citizen calling: Help im over here help me." and when you get there you see only a......dead body and then the music plays

  • @sezani

He isn't dead, he is just heavily wounded. he even talks to you.

  • i was alone at night whit turrned off light when i heard this in the abandon building this still gives me creeps sorry for my carpy english im bulgarian

  • oh boy i wish i knew how to use these pheropods....

    hmm.. zombie infested?

    what theres only like 7!

  • It sounds like the dead oceans are still calling out...

Asking, if there is anyone there...

  • @Fortress0Forever creepy dude ...just...creepy

  • @Fortress0Forever You just made this song twice as creepy....

  • @Fortress0Forever holy crap... I mean, thats just creepy!

  • favorite part of the game!

  • I like how this song plays when Gordon goes inside the abandon building in City 17 to rescue Barney from the snipers, and then the zombies come out of the water.

  • One the scariest parts lol...

Damn, there were humans in that building, and they DIDN'T know there were zombies in it. Wow. Maybe its not JUST their balls that the combine supressor is sapping...

  • Combine: Right, set dat shit up.

    Combine 2: Right'o.

Combine: BAM! Combine sappin' human ballz!

    Combine 2: "Damnit fellas" Ha!

  • Nope, on the Kleiner cast it says that certain protein chains blablabla prevented embrionic development. Hooray, no blue balls for earth!

  • @CripChillinz At the start of the game a citizen tells you to don't drink the water. The water is "sapping" their minds, not the suppressor.

  • @9ATN17 That part freaked me out the first time I completed the game
