Young himself would tell you that not all of his music is first rate. In his first anthology he included all of his music from the '68-'72 (dates?), but in the liner notes he stated: "Some of this music is great, but some of it is crap. I included it all . . . you decide what you like and what you don't." Liking music is very subjective. I'm one of Young's biggest fans. I loved BuffaloSpringfield and his solo "After the Goldrush" - but "Trans"? To me that wasn't Neil Young, I hated it.

this was first played in 1984 with crazy horse but i think this is from the "live in a rusted out garage" tour also with crazy horse

This song was definitely not played on the 1982 "Trans" tour...probably more like 1985.

Bootleg cd I bought early 90s... It says "recorded live in concert during the American tour 1982" so I have to go with that.
