first: web is needed in any close range battle, so the turrets can hit the guy.
second: no, the brutix guy wasn´t tackled, he could warp if he wanted to.
and to finish: no ship is cap stable in a pvp, pve ships might can be cap stables cuz they need to perma run reps/shields + guns, but in pvp, the guy can just neut you and no cap for you, so most pvp´ers use cap boosters, mark exception for dreads that can be cap stable and also pvp (against cap ships but no smaller ones).
Everyone needs a damage control. If you had one on, you could've won. Although...I still don't know why that deimos didn't wreck you in seconds even with a dual repper build.
I don´t know why he didn´t use the dcu but I got to remember I was a noob in a Deimos that time, I was using t1 guns instad of t2 cuz I didn´t have trained for t2 guns that time.
You lost when you didn't fit your 7th blaster, or have cap boosters big enough to fuel both of your reps.. .. and when you decided to go for that ecm over a scram or second web=) The brutix is great, I prefer going gank and shield/armor buffer though active tank is useful.

You lost when you didn't turn off the armor reps when he was on 1/4 armor. Once you run out of cap you stop doing dps- whatever the situation if you run that low on cap, the only way you can win is through destroying him, not through trying to continue actively tanking- so usethe last bit of cap too attack not tank! However, good video, it was a deimos after all.
It appears to be a Deimos to me as well, a Thorax would have been silver on the picture on the top left, and there's no way at all a Thorax would have taken that much damage EVER. Overall, not that bad of a fight. Could have been a little better if the Brutix lost the multi-spec and put in a recharger as the needs for injector(s) are hard enough as it is. Both ships are VERY nice when fitted the right way with appropriate mods/rigs, however, IMHO the HAC should have never gotten that low.
It took you forever to turn on your gear. should have went with 2 cap boosters and not that jammer. Over all u should have won that fight. I agree that was a noob deimos.

few things your doing wrong, 1, no disruptor, trade it for the ecm, two, use a meduium cap booster II with cap charge 800's, three, use ecm drones, that way you can have the disruptor, properly fitted brutix should rape a deimos hands down

Was good try for the most part. maby next time turn off 1/2 your guns when youve nearly run out of cap and leave the rep's going instead of just waiting for the booster to re load. Maby then you would have won
Keep one rep set to auto, and the other to manual. Cap is life, don't let it go under 30%, unless you're trying to time their neuts/nos. Use 400s/800s. Don't start repping as soon as a little armor starts falling off in a 1v1. Also, potshot ECM not worth the slot often enough not to mention cap hungry.
GBear, you NEED cap boosters on almost any ships cuz of energy vamps, any PVPer or Amarr knows that, lvl 5 cap skills just help u live longer. 2 reps are a fantastic idea, but no resists seems insane, unless you had some mad riggage you still shoulda put on some resistance plates, theyre passive and dont take and CPU just 1 pg. I use them on Retributions all the time cuz i never have CPU cuz of my guns lol (and yes i have weapons upgrades, and electronics 5)
yeah the brutix could have been setup better. you can get alot more with a couple of hardeners or ANM than you can by spending it on cap booster charges, still take a med booster but get at least SOME resist. I personally put in a explosive hardener and a ANM. then it's your choice of 1 med repair or 2. But always take a DCU by rule of law.
Yeah, thats and expensive ship to be flying around without a full set of lvl 5 skills to back it up. maybe its just me but I dont fly ships unless I have their associated skills to lvl 5 or at least 4.
As for the Deimos, that was a sad performance. Frankly you should have gotten smashed alot harder and faster than u did by that ship. A well setup HAC should really only be rivalied by tier 3 BS, Cmd ship, or a really skilled player in a tanked BC or tier 2 BS.

U made too much waiting in the cap booster. My way is always loading it. Like if cap is in 35%

omfg...nothing to you but you have to know how to play gallente. Where are the energized upgrades and maybe the adaptives?!?! You can't tank with 2 armor reppers...get some low slots fitted! Gallentean ships are made for that...

so why was the Brutix useing his web on a guy whom opperates at close range? could have saved some cap simply by not turining that moduel off. And i'm not going to insult your intelegence by inquiring if u had some armor hardeners or resistive plateing in your other low slots (hide passive). but what happended here? where you tackled was he warp scrmbling you? the second my cap went out i would have jumped. but i also cant bring myself to fly a cap unstable ship.

first: web is needed in any close range battle, so the turrets can hit the guy.
second: no, the brutix guy wasn´t tackled, he could warp if he wanted to.
and to finish: no ship is cap stable in a pvp, pve ships might can be cap stables cuz they need to perma run reps/shields + guns, but in pvp, the guy can just neut you and no cap for you, so most pvp´ers use cap boosters, mark exception for dreads that can be cap stable and also pvp (against cap ships but no smaller ones).

Everyone needs a damage control. If you had one on, you could've won. Although...I still don't know why that deimos didn't wreck you in seconds even with a dual repper build.

I agree, not only does a damage control have no stacking penalty with the other resist modules, it also makes your hull resists 60%.

I don´t know why he didn´t use the dcu but I got to remember I was a noob in a Deimos that time, I was using t1 guns instad of t2 cuz I didn´t have trained for t2 guns that time.

You lost when you didn't fit your 7th blaster, or have cap boosters big enough to fuel both of your reps.. .. and when you decided to go for that ecm over a scram or second web=) The brutix is great, I prefer going gank and shield/armor buffer though active tank is useful.
edit: Oops sorry, just read your info on the vid.. test server so it doesn't count;)

You lost when you didn't turn off the armor reps when he was on 1/4 armor. Once you run out of cap you stop doing dps- whatever the situation if you run that low on cap, the only way you can win is through destroying him, not through trying to continue actively tanking- so usethe last bit of cap too attack not tank! However, good video, it was a deimos after all.

It appears to be a Deimos to me as well, a Thorax would have been silver on the picture on the top left, and there's no way at all a Thorax would have taken that much damage EVER. Overall, not that bad of a fight. Could have been a little better if the Brutix lost the multi-spec and put in a recharger as the needs for injector(s) are hard enough as it is. Both ships are VERY nice when fitted the right way with appropriate mods/rigs, however, IMHO the HAC should have never gotten that low.

It took you forever to turn on your gear. should have went with 2 cap boosters and not that jammer. Over all u should have won that fight. I agree that was a noob deimos.

few things your doing wrong, 1, no disruptor, trade it for the ecm, two, use a meduium cap booster II with cap charge 800's, three, use ecm drones, that way you can have the disruptor, properly fitted brutix should rape a deimos hands down

Was good try for the most part. maby next time turn off 1/2 your guns when youve nearly run out of cap and leave the rep's going instead of just waiting for the booster to re load. Maby then you would have won

It's all about the cap management.
Keep one rep set to auto, and the other to manual. Cap is life, don't let it go under 30%, unless you're trying to time their neuts/nos. Use 400s/800s. Don't start repping as soon as a little armor starts falling off in a 1v1. Also, potshot ECM not worth the slot often enough not to mention cap hungry.

GBear, you NEED cap boosters on almost any ships cuz of energy vamps, any PVPer or Amarr knows that, lvl 5 cap skills just help u live longer. 2 reps are a fantastic idea, but no resists seems insane, unless you had some mad riggage you still shoulda put on some resistance plates, theyre passive and dont take and CPU just 1 pg. I use them on Retributions all the time cuz i never have CPU cuz of my guns lol (and yes i have weapons upgrades, and electronics 5)

yeah the brutix could have been setup better. you can get alot more with a couple of hardeners or ANM than you can by spending it on cap booster charges, still take a med booster but get at least SOME resist. I personally put in a explosive hardener and a ANM. then it's your choice of 1 med repair or 2. But always take a DCU by rule of law.

I was using adptive resistance plates and some for thermal/explosive. They're not showing cuz I hide the passive modules.

Yeah, thats and expensive ship to be flying around without a full set of lvl 5 skills to back it up. maybe its just me but I dont fly ships unless I have their associated skills to lvl 5 or at least 4.

I was testing the 200 to see if they give me a better cap/time. The medium booster only have space for 1 800. And it takes ages to reload.

should of used armor plating for PvP cause resit don't mean shit if somebody changes the weapons or if the drones are doing different then what you do
myself i find it best to have drones that do EM and thermal while i do explosive and kenitic

As for the Deimos, that was a sad performance. Frankly you should have gotten smashed alot harder and faster than u did by that ship. A well setup HAC should really only be rivalied by tier 3 BS, Cmd ship, or a really skilled player in a tanked BC or tier 2 BS.

*I have WON many a pvp because of Damage controls* If u had a damage control u could have gone into structure with 60%resists and saved the cap on the armor reps for ur blasters and kept pounding him. UR DPS isnt bad u just cant keep it up with ur setup

I can't remember why I didn't fitted a DCU II.
They are really VERY useful and I usually fit them on any setup I do (PvP or PvE) Gallente Ships have a huge hull and the 60% saves a lot of asses
