What I like about the music in this game is that it's meant to make you feel the emotion of the game. This game is about a war between nations for the last warm land against the ice age. It's basically like WW2 in the winter in the ash of European buildings. Many people dying from both weather and by each other. Kind of depressing but that's what I love about it.

@krasav4ik82 even if you download the game, there are almost no people that play the game anymore. you missed out on the party by a good handful of years my friend. in the end, EA is to blame for the downfall of the game, BF2142 is my favorite FPS ever, but that was back when it was still a very active community.

@FPSManInTheWall consols don't take more skill, just a higher reaction time, and either way, you can tune the controls so that its more or less sensetive to movement, so if i wanted to, i could make my mouse have the same sensetivity to feel like a joystick controller using in game options, and you can make your joystick feel like your using a mouse the same way.

2142 is a GREAT game. But in 2143 u should start in a spaceship on the ground and fly into the space to fight agains enemy spaceships, enter them and start a fight on it. WOW that would be nice. And u should can use the cannons of the spaceships to shoot on the ground like artillery, the commander give u the coordinates. Damn maybe in future such a game will be realized

@Davmm96 Call of Duty died after Black Ops ( I will however rent MW3 to finish the Modern Warfare storyline), Medal of Honor is/was just a test bed for BF3's possibility of CQB maps, and (IMO) a poorly executed reboot of a dead franchise (not blaming D.I.C.E) and Battlefield 3, don't even get me started.....I don't even know where to start with the awesomeness that that game will be! However, Battlefield has and always will come first.

For a dedicated multiplayer game, with no story mode to speak of, this is by far and away the best OST I've ever heard. So atmospheric... I dunno, I don't even have the words for the desolate feelings this music evokes within me. It reminds me vaguely of the feelings C&C: Tiberian Sun tried to create with some of its OST, of a lull between the next fight in a war between two armies, fighting with everything they have and nothing to lose against a bleak and barren landscape...
