Fresh (or ground) root and water, respect the tradition by taking time out of your day to prepare it. Just my personal opinion, I think kava is enjoyed more that way. Even the country (Germany) that launched the accusations has since reinstated the selling of Kava. According to the studies, 25 people world-wide in all of recorded history (out of millions of drinkers per year) experienced these so-called 'liver problems.'

I agree completely. I mean, literally every drug you take has the potential to cause liver problems. Duh! Every drug gets filtered through your liver! Even aspirin can cause liver damage.

A few days ago i went to a health food store and bought a bottle of kava kava pills. I was not expecting anything at all. I was surprised when my anxiety went completely away. The two kava pills i took were as effective as my perscription Xanax. Its unbelievable really.
I used kava for about 9 days now for my anxiety problems. i used 4 tablespoons. it works verey well against anxiety, but i have bad side effects: ligth headache, my stomach is upset for about 2 days now. i have very dry skin. does this has to do with the high dose? should i stop taking it? i dont know. it's the only thing that works without tolerance for me
Not actually illegal, you just can't legally sell it in Canada (and hence buy it in Canada) It can be imported as long as it is not packaged with instructions on consumption.
do you think you could clarify this concept for me? Do you mean that I can cross the border buy a bottle of it, rip of the consumption instructions and the customs won't stop me from bringing it in?

The roots of Kava, of which is consumed, does not cause liver damage. It is anything above the roots, (the plant) in which causes liver damage.
