  • Hey Matt, I just noticed that you accomplished an even color balance between the live action and the computer screen. If I may ask, how did you manage that?

  • The camera was balanced to 5600K (daylight), so I think that helped cutting back some of the blue in the screen, but really it was alot of luck...

  • So did you just use available light, or did you use 56K lighting.

  • We used some of the light from outside... the sun wasn't shining directly thru, and then also had some kinos with daylight tubes in them.

  • Great job Matt. Nice professional 'even' lighting scheme. Very believable.

  • This video doesn't violate the rules. The commercial is not 1:01. The actual video file is 60 seconds. Because YouTube re-encodes the videos for flash, they sometimes add or minus a second or two.

Thank-you for your opinion, but I needed to clarify that it is not actually 1:01

  • Jolly good. You have done bloody good job.

  • thanks. I appreciate that a lot. ;]

  • great British element addition

    very convincing

never once thought he was acting

    fooled me

    wonderful. five stars

  • thanks! I was really fortunate to have good actors.

  • This was cute. Very nice idea and well executed.

  • I don't know, I didn't really like it, a little more professional than some of the other ones, but still, there wasn't much to remember in it, but still, good job in the vid, you actually gave a live version of the logo, which is very key

  • Really Good Andy, your so awesome!!!

  • haha, Andy is my roommate, he must have been spreading the word about the video. But thanks!

  • Well played my sir. hit me up for scores if you ever need. It's easier to hit me up by phone, computer and I don't see much of each other now a days.

  • It could have been shorter and worked the same.

  • I disagree. The required elements (without reading them like a laundry list) takes about 30 seconds alone. I think this is a very effective and random (funny) way of executing the brand message. I love that the knight is a business man suit morph. I love that Brenda is surprised but then subsequently 'accepting' of this dude in her kitchen.

  • thanks jared... I was going to say that if you make a :30 spot, you'd have to say taxslayer . com every 6 seconds, and while I am not trying to make excuses, it is very difficult to do while still creating some type of narrative...never the less, I appreciate your comment.

  • That was my point about alonsovids' comment. I think you kept it interesting all of the way through with the morph knight. BTW, I loved the " . . . Debra, can I get a straw . . ." Genius.

  • Brilliant! 5 stars!

  • Its perfect! If it doesn't win I'm going to jump off a building...

  • haha, well I wouldn't do that... who would continue on the box[ur]shorts legacy!?

  • YEA YEA !!!!

  • so far the best one i've seen!

  • Great spot. Good casting. Great acting. " . . . Debra? . . .". Made me laugh everytime I heard it. I can't help but wonder what some sort of music bed might have done for the spot. Other than that, a very solid piece.

  • thanks man... yeah I had one cut with music in the background, but I couldn't find a piece that seemed to fit it really well.

  • I liked this submission a lot! Very funny. Good audio recording.
