There are a few people like him but theres this guy called Pat the Bunny. He doesn't do it anymore for a few reasons but he used to tour nonstop back when he was in the bands Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains and Wingnut Dishwashers Union. The rest of bands couldn't tour though (they usually didn't even record their bits on the albums) so he would tour by himself. He did that by hitchhiking from show to show and he would tour nearly nonstop. I am insanely jealous of that lifestyle.
It would be interesting to look at this lifestyle from a psychological point of view. Spending less time at your "home base" and filling it with less valuable possessions would theoretically shift its significance and securities into the constants you can take with you, like, for instance, the internet, your close friends, the few things that have gone with you over the years, and things you have come to expect as given in your travels... Interesting line of thought.
I have a lot of stuff and to be honest I don't really care about any of the things that I have. I have like 2 pairs of jeans that I actually wear and maybe like 10 shirts at the most that I'm willing to wear but my closet is filled with crap I won't even touch. I am going to clean out my room and get rid of all the useless junk and watch me have like NOTHING in my room lmao!

Hmm well without my computer and the hardware in it, I wouldn't be able to produce and render the work for my clients, without my car and camera I wouldn't be able to do new shoots, without my easel, projector, saw, tool kit, I wouldn't be able to make canvases to paint my commissions. I do like to collect I have to admit that. Over the past few years I have actually sold them or given them to people seem to want them more. DVDs...that's something I just can't stop collecting because I love watching them. The reason why I have no money is because of Health Insurance.

I also agree, that some people are "floating in the cloud" or being "digital nomads" - it is a way to live life and I'm one of them, but I often wonder about my missing desire to have more.

Hmm well without my computer and the hardware in it, I wouldn't be able to produce and render the work for my clients, without my car and camera I wouldn't be able to do new shoots, without my easel, projector, saw, tool kit, I wouldn't be able to make canvases to paint my commissions. I just don't like plain or boring, so I like my walls and shelves to be full of fun things. However I do try and make them all part of memories, not just random shit I buy. I've always valued things like theatre shows and vacations to new places more than a fancy TV or gaming system, but I will admit to being a bit of a pack rat of useless objects. I don't buy fancy new things often but I do hold on to things that have outlived their time or have no use because they have an associated memory or person. Things I might not even look at for months, but when I do I can't bear to part with them because of the memory related. Wish I could live as a nomad like you do.
