  • Beautiful guitar you gots !!

  • @ruotze

...i wisht i was in Heaven sittin down !!

  • 60 bucks!!!! ahhh i wish lmao

  • those guitars are amazing. They sound good when you get them new, but as they age, they sound like a million bucks :D

  • wow

  • What kind of tuning do you think he uses to play this?

  • @sclogse1 D tuning. I myself use D and G tuning the most, as far as open

tunings go. The G tuning is cool, since you can get those John Fahey and

    Hawaiian style licks in.

  • What is Joe using as a slide? Looks like a screwdriver.

  • screwdriver.

  • No, the 18's had a spruce top (light colored.) The 15s & 17s were the all-mahogany guitars.

  • I'll look inside the guitar next time I get a chance

to play it and see if I can see the model no. I don't

know anything about how Martin model nos. go,

    so you could be right.

  • 00-17. Despite being the budget guitar of Martin's line the 17's were built of African mahogany and glued with hot hide glue. A straight production line guitar, but because of good design & quality materials they sound great 50, 60, 70 & 80 years later.

  • I think it is a 00-18 (not sure of exact

number of 0's). I know that I was told

that the label inside has "18" on it.

So, they used hide glue in the 50s?

Is there an equivalent Martin model,

    today?

  • Amazing.

  • I am going to verify the exact model next time I get to

    play it.

  • Great tone out of that box. Look like a Martin 0-17?

  • It is a Martin 0-18 or something like

that (not sure how many zeros).
