@magicolly 60fps + without CSCYN completely maxed out including AA and AF on DX 11, VSCYN on I get 60fps constant, when it's extremely heavy battles with loads of explosions - 50fps +. My internet causes lag sometimes but it's ok - bc 2 is demanding not only on hardware but also internet speed. Anyways I also have an athlon 640 II x4 as well, the heatsink is tiny, like a 50/60mm fan and it's @ 9C when it's 27C in the house! I'm using an OCZ 500W ModXstream btw.

@magicolly No, fraps records at 60fps - I get 50 fps with fraps...

Problem is that sony vegas is messed up so I deleted all my benchmark videos because of sony vegas not doing anything right so I couldn't upload 2.16GB anyways - I have a slow upload. I got a replacement from sony vegas - fixed the thing. I'll do some benchmarks soon - need to do mah English homework for GSCES.

wow this is bad..... At the start you were looking at the wall and was still getting a low framerate. How can you play a game like that?

I can play because I have had a ps3 and 360, played the games with the low frame rates and you get used to that frame rate.

18fps and above is fine for me. With motion blur anyway.

@DN94 By the way, I hope you realise Ii was using fraps so actual gameplay is smooth in comparison to this and it's very good. The game isn't half bad, it's fun, can get boring, like to be camo and wait for the right time, sometimes stupid things happen that just make you lol.

It's very playable. Besides, crysis is a poorly optimized game, 5 years old and ATi and nvidia gave up trying to optimize their hardware for the game a long time ago.

@DN94 I see that you're using a HD 5750. Pretty much on par with the gts 250, my hd 4670 isn't far off from it. 38% is the gts 250 better I recall. Although hd 5750 is dx 11, I wouldn't get it. I'd rather at least get the HD 5770, GTX 460, GTS 250, HD 6850/6870 (6870 is a good stand to hd 5850 for money and it's better) or hd 5870. Hd 5830 is a waste of money, why make it? 4830 did well but 5830.. man.. disappointing.

Try turning down ur res to 1280x720 and no aa.

Can I get this card?I have a Compaq Presario (windows XP), Pentium Processor E5400 @ 2.70 GHz, FSB: 800 MHz, Cache: 2MB, RAM: 2GB and I currently have a Geforce 8500gt. Will this do? (I think my psu is around 500-700 watts, i forgot)

@KRandMJ I've heard of people running the card on a 150 WATT generic PSU that is probably low quality. You'll be fine, the card only uses 54 W tdp.

And it should be quite and upgrade from the 8500gt but I'd recommend the 5670 hd, 20-30 % better then the hd 4670. A mistake I made was not buying it.

Though your processor is a bit low end, still is should be able to process the information with the 4670 fast and efficient. Dunno bout 5670.

Does your motherboard have PCIE x 16 1.0/2.0 or AGP?

Ehh dude, might as well buyh a new processor first. Pentiums are kinda dead, and unless u can oc ur processor well and spend more moeny on water cooling and stuff, buy a new CPU and Mobo if u need to. Ur card should do fine with some ocing. if not, u can get a GTX 460 for $170(least in canada.)

Max u spend would be around say ehhh 500 bucks? that setup will last u along while too.

Well, I honestly wouldn't know why I'm getting better performance other then having 0xAA. Also, Crysis' levels are unpredictable and have many ranges of frames per second. That and I was using dx9 at that time.

@TehPwn3rz And I'am using DX 10.1 which is a huge fps strain over DX 9. Can't degrade :( So... I'm stuck with using this since I cant use custom configs in the demo.

And yeah some levels as well. Thats annoying!

Oh, and if you want to run dx9 in windows 7 or vista, all you have to do is go to games in the start menu and right click crysis, play in dx9. Hope that helped!
