  • Obama will not do any of these things. Why would he?

  • This

  • Money trickles UP!

Don't you think the Chinee are studying math?

    One solution to american poverty....TARIFF!

    150million cannot compete 'gainst 800million.

We pay this crooked government to protect US!

    Do your f*ckin' job.

  • Reich - he looks like either Lenin or Trotsky. Irregardless, we don't need his opnion. In fact, I wish he and his bretheren leave our country.

  • @vmeister11 Robert Reich is a Great American who cares more about the USA than you ever will.

  • @TheNavigateur ...and profited highly from it. Such a wonderful country for him.

  • @vmeister11 He wants to make the USA a wonderful country for as many Americans as possible through justice and equal opportunity. And reason. That was the American tradition before the corporate takeover of the political system. Your mind is simply full of right-wing nonsense that has no bearing in reality, or reason, or the USA as a nation.

  • @TheNavigateur Sorry not a winger at all. This "wing" polarity concept never did make any sense. I am simply a humanist and realist.

  • @vmeister11 If you were a humanist and realist you'd realise that the so-called "private" sector cannot currently hire to full capacity, so the state must fill the void. Of course, if you were a right-wing ideologue, you would reject that under all circumstances. The market uncertainty isn't caused by government, it's caused by wild financial speculation. Your country is slipping away toward banks, and Robert Reich's solution is correct. Remember NASA? That was government too.

  • forget that sheeeet !

  • Sounds good Reich. If only Obama could complete mandates from his 1st term, perhaps the both of you wouldn't be looking like the fools that you are.

  • Watch this and see Robert Reich caught red handed arguing for the bailouts against Dr. Paul ...

    watch?v=6B_BgHip194

  • The answer from this Guy? Spend more money on welfare ... Drive away business by raising taxes and insure that the only jobs made are in the public sector, or in the private sector thanks to federal subsidies. This guy is a Keynesian through and through ... However moderate he pretends to be.

  • @Ironmaw1776 How is relying only on the so-called "private" sector working out for you?

  • @TheNavigateur I am a small business owner, and I'm actually doing very well right now in some ways because of the economic downturn - Used cars and automotive restoration ... Why do you ask?

  • @Ironmaw1776 I meant you as a country, not you personally.

  • Let's not forget about re-instating the import tarrifs that reagan threw out.

Bring back good paying manufacturing jobs.

"We all do better when we all do better." Paul Wellstone

It's not communism or socialism, it's just how it all works better for all of us.

  • What a bunch of ignorant fools are commenting on this video with their criticisms of President Obama. They must belong to the sparkle pony and unicorn wing of the progressive left, people who thought all they had to do was pull that lever for Obama back in November 2007 and the Magic Negro was going to do all the rest all by his lonesome. Where were most of you complainers LAST November 2010 when the Tea Party showed at the polls and you didn't? Want CHANGE? Then WORK for it. And vote!

  • @CarlaFWard no, ya fuckin' moron! ya want change? get the money outta polictics! otherwise, ya'll be just spinning ya wheel and getting dry fucked either way ya vote! need more proof? look at what voting got us in 2008! didn't obama just signed away US citizens' rights to habeas corpus and due process?

    wakie wakie!

  • @MojoJuana Something tells me I was defending knuckleheads like you in court before you were ever born, so I shall leave you to the shallow, flighty imaginings which pass for thought in that numb little brain of yours. You would rather have simple, easy answers to everything and your notion of learning how the system works has never risen above the level of the cartoon villains of your childhood. I don't waste time on simpletons.

  • @CarlaFWard blah blah...how many fuckin' degrees more ya think ya need to see that the fuckin' system is broken, genius? ya words here are empty and hollow and willfully ignorant to truth and to what's happening to our democracy!!!

ha! ya a regular fuckin' retarded genius, ya know that?

  • The only problem with Mr Reich's thesis is that it's incumbent on Obama who has already shown he hasn't the mettle to do what needs to be done. Remember; the Democrats had a super-majority and instead of pushing Progressive or even Democratic policies they frittered their advantage away, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, forwarding conservative or completely unpopular policies.

  • Unless you have a PhD in economics from a major university, I wouldn't bother commenting on anything Robert Reich has to say, because you'll just come off sounding like an eleven year old boy giving marriage advice to 75 year old man who's been married for 50 years.

  • Obama™

  • I hope Americans are not foolish enough to re-elect George W. Obama to a fourth term of creeping Fascism: Obama claims that he is allowed to order the Murder of Muslims anywhere in the world: That isn't "liberal" or "progressive" or "democratic," it's Fascist.

  • @medicinesocks Oh really? He SAID that? Kindly provide the quote or STFU. What a stupid comment.

  • I would post a comment, but ppl are so rude on YT!

  • Agree with everything Dr. Reich said except we need to lower America's costs. Can anyone tell me why we should tax American production? Can anyone tell me why our tax rates on capital gains should be higher than they are in the communist nation of the People's Republic of China? My plan provides universal health care, invests heavily in K-12 education and expands access to higher education including vocational training while eliminating our deficit and reducing our debt. We will Move Forward!

  • TAX EVERYTHING!!! WE NEED COMMUNISM. LOW TAXES ARE EVIL.

  • @ConorJNixon Your sarcasm is based on nothing. No one is saying to tax the rich more, but we're saying to remove the tax loopholes. Trickledown is indeed a "fraud", so the taxbreaks given to "job creators" is just squandered. In no way is this communism.

  • Progressives need to Move on past Obama. Face it Obama is a wimp. Sure he took out Osama Bin Laden. Too bad he did not have the guts to stand up to Joe Liebermann! We need Bernie Sanders For president. I would rather risk a Republican then to let this wimp Obama give away the entire New Deal. For God's sake Mr. Reich face the facts! OBAMA IS A WIMP!

  • I want Robert Reich for president.

  • you're right mr. president... exactly what we need mr. president... we will re elect you mr. president!! man the bullshit is rising.

  • It's not quite so simple at this point Robert Reich: The problem is after 3 years of BEGGING and him spitting in our face over and over again, he no longer has any credibility. You're assuming people are ready to give him the benefit of the doubt again in election season, when he's done everything in his power to show us his disdain for us, his base, and the priorities his performance of pretending to care for got him elected. It strains credibility to ask us to buy his rhetoric at this point

  • Llve Reich ... he is great.

The key Obama statement is "if we are serious about rebulding the middle class in this country" - clearly WE, whoever WE means are not. Rebiulding the middle class would be a prelude to restoring more representation and democracy in the US ... the 1% is the global jet set and they don't care any more for Americans than they do for Nigerians, or Venezuelans.

  • Go shit in a park fleabagger. We are paying 4 million dollars for Obamas Hawaii vacation. We could use that money for schools or redistribute to the poor.

  • Robert Reich is a complete moron that caters to Obama's loony left wing base.

  • Ron PAUL 2012

  • Robert Reich a jackass talking to a jackass.

  • I don't think that anyone is thrilled with everything that Obama does but compared to the inept crop of other candidates, he is still the best choice. Ron Paul is mentioned here. Other than his stand on legalizing marijuana, there is little difference between him and the others. He lost me with his lack of concern over uninsured patients and his disregard of the problem of seperation of church and state. Most of Obama's problems are caused by GOP's irrational uncooperation. Obama/Biden 2012

  • The Class Warfare game isn't going to work. Americans can see behind the curtain.

We can't afford 4 more of Obama. We can't afford more Obama lies.

  • The DEMS keep caving to the corporate whores controlling the GOP and once again, no tax increase for millionaires, no veto, no nothing. A 2 month extension for Keystone, is a joke.

The GOP now controls everything. Why even have an election.

Oh well, I guess eveyone will just have to accept that the middle class is officially, history. There will only be rich and poor within 10 years. No matter WHO wins what.

We are now the United Corporations of America and we were all sold to Wall Street

  • The Ticking Clock sound was a poor choice. I just wanted to see the video and hear what Robert had to say - the clock was annoying.

  • This Video is total Bullshit.

People, don´t fall for this same lies again and again!!!

If you wanna be part of Real Change please support Ron Paul, a man who´s talking the truth.

How the hell Obama can talk about rebuilding jobs and the middle class when at the same time the currency is nearly dead?

    Don´t be a fool,

    wake up,

    support RON PAUL 2012!!!

  • @Noahshollow The currency is dead? That's a bunch of Ronsense. The PROBLEM is all the money is concentrated in few hands and the economy is dysfunctional as a result. THAT'S the problem.

  • @twochordcool Well you my friend are a brainwashed monkey from the book.

"all the money is concentrated in few hands" WHAT?! Do you even know what you´re talking about?

so you think there is no money around so no one can buy anything? So how do you even live any longer? By your logic you wouldn´t be able to buy food! You would have to trade things foor food. What is your Source for those Mind Feces?

  • @Noahshollow Obviously you're a pinhead who has no fucking clue about economics. Allow me to school you. If you have a REAL unemployment rate of about 18% - which amounts to tens of millions of Americans - that's TENS of millions of Americans NOT spending money (or enough money) in the economy - then you have a WEAK economy that doesn't have enough demand for products and services - so businesses cannot justify hiring those people and the economy REMAINS weak.

  • @Noahshollow and so, shithead, when you have the top 1% making SO much money, and not USING all of it, it doesn't stimulate the economy enough - and the economy remains weak and millions of people remain unemployed. The ONLY solution is taxing the rich at a high rate - LIKE WE USE TO - under Democrats AND REPUBLICANS (before Reagan) - to build our crumbling infrastructure and put people back to work. ONCE more people spend more money the economy will fix itself.

  • @twochordcool Well and I tell you you´re missing the big fact of the whole story, concentrating on the side effects/ problems. YOUR CURRENCY IS DEAD. LISTEN TO ME AGAIN, DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is not because the rich has stolen it from you. This Phenomenon is called Inflation!!!!

  • @Noahshollow The currency is NOT dead you Paul-tard fucking idiot. Someone took your money as payment recently, right?

  • @Noahshollow So, people like YOU are the idiots - and people like Reich, Krugman, Stiglitz and Hudson know what they are talking about. CONTRARY to what right-wingnut LUNATICS tell you money does NOT trickle down - supply side voodoo economics is a total failure - and ONLY GROUND-UP demand-based economics works. So go get an education asshole, and lay off the Limbaugh and Fox

  • Wonder why it is that MoveOn videos and website get the dimmest, most aggressively ignorant trolls. Trolls of both colors: progressives who are outraged that Obama couldn't give them everything they wanted or believed he'd supply, and RWNJ's who have only their pea-brained hate to sustain them.

MoveOn seems to attract the worst from both sides.

  • @integral You're not even the SLIGHTEST bit skeptical that Obama's as-president actions and rhetoric is SO MUCH different than his campaign-mode rhetoric? Caving on tax cuts for the rich to continue unemployment benefits? Single-handedly removing the public option from the health care law? Stating that cuts to Social Security and Medicare is on the table? And now probably being forced to allow an oil pipeline to bisect the entire North American continent? Be wary - don't be a dupe.

  • Reich -- forget it --Barack will extend the tax cuts for the super-rich soon!

  • forget obama!

he's just another lying corporate warmongering puppet whore!!!

yes, but didn't the corporate puppets in congress approved extending the bush taxcuts and this lying cocksucker, if i can recall, signed it?

  • @MojoJuana You are an idiot. Do you remember WHY he agreed to the extension of the tax cuts? Because it was the only way he could get the following: a) extension of unemployment for MILLIONS; b) ratification of the START treaty; c) repeal of DADT; d) tax cuts for the middle class; e) aid for 9/11 First Responders. Just the way you put this comment shows you lack the analytical capabilities of a cockroach.

  • @CarlaFWard ha! ya really drank the retarded kool aid if it was the ONLY way okissass could've gotten those things he's got while giving away the store! please don't lump extending the bush taxcuts with the rest ya so ignorantly mentioned here. dadt would've been repealed for the simple fact it wasn't a corporate issue and the military needed all the man power it can get at the time. ya know how reagan is like god to gops...dems could've beat that drum and got 'start' passed!

  • @MojoJuana Please catch a clue, Mojo, because it's clear you have ZERO understanding of how the legislative process works. You say "dadt would've been repealed". HOW? Wouldn't it be through LEGISLATION? It was OPPOSED until Obama agreed on the tax cuts - it was part of a package. And the START treaty? It was Tea Partiers holding it up. The Dems DID beat the Reagan drum - to no effect. You didn't even follow the process, did you? Bet you've never listened to C-Span in your life.

  • @CarlaFWard zero understanding? clear to whom? you? ya think from the c-span political theater ya watched, that makes ya an expert now, eh? ha! unless ya know what goes on in the backrooms and see how decision makers and their corprorate donors would profit greatly from the end decisions and be able to put 2 and 2 together, ya just another parrot regurgitating the bs given to ya by corporate mainstream media, dimwit! almost all in congress turned millionaires while in office is clue enough, no?

  • @MojoJuana No, you silly ass, my degrees in politics, history, and law make me an expert. What's YOUR qualification to comment on anything? You talk about "backrooms" as if you're there, when you're clearly some young punk all jazzed to end corruption without having any clue how the system works or how said stopping should be implemented. You're a sloppy, lazy thinker (if that's what your cogitations could be called), which is why I call you clueless. You really DON'T know.

  • @CarlaFWard ha! ya can shove those degrees up where the sun don't shine or get yo money back, moron! ya obviously numb to the obvious! the system only works for the money elites and is broken for the everyday folks! check this. where da fuck was okissass's leadership to rein in his super congress during the healthcare debate? o, yeah, he was busy blowing big pharma in the backrooms to give them a monopoly!

don't boast about them degrees. it only makes ya sillier than ya already sound! ha!

  • @CarlaFWard it was john steward who shamed the gops, not obama, to get the 9-11 responders bill! and remember how the dems got the gops on the ropes about taxcuts for the middle class (extending $ to unemployment is included here) while letting the bush taxcuts for the rich lapse weeks before the 2010 election? boener was all ready to buckle and cave and then strangely, the dems, all decided to deal with the issue after the election. ya the idiot if ya can't see the fix and theater being played!

  • @MojoJuana Nothing you say can be credited because it's clear to me that you NEVER, EVER listen to C-Span or actually follow the legislative debates. You picked up on what Jon Stewart said and you think THAT'S what changed things? Idiot! The GOP doesn't listen to Jon Stewart and don't care what he says. To them he's just another liberal. That issue was part of the hostage package for which the GOP was holding out. THAT'S how they play. Which you would know if you weren't coasting.

  • @CarlaFWard well, since obama wasn't using his bully pulpit to drive the point home to the american people to get the conversation going, jon steward picked up the slack and got people talking. the public was furious and calling their reps...so, that got passed! because it was the right thing to do for gops who like to beat that 9-11 support our whatever war drum! using the bully pulpit alone, obama could've streamrolled gops on many issues, but he chose not to because he's a brought puppet!

  • Barack let us down again - 2 month extension!!!

  • we can always count that what obama says will be different than what he does.

  • Barack is too big a pussy - he'll not veto the bill today.,, once again he caves to the GOP CORPORATE WHORES

  • there's only one real party- The Rich ,any labels after that are an illusion designed to confuse ,divide and control. Unfortunately dead ronnie reagans trickle down economics didn't die with him. Europe is fermenting and that stench is coming here too as you will see shortly.

  • How dear you question the Reich. It is the great economic policy's of the Riech that will get those greedy corrupt rich people.

The Reich only wants the power, to go after the people he wants, to save the rest of Germany...uh I mean Amerika.

For it is the power of the State over the people, that will make you happy and free.

  • Reich!! who the hell gave you the right to offer the occupy movement to obama in exchange for what?? for obama to continue destroying the country!!? did you not learn from Bush junior!? how about obama's last three years!?? he has accomplished nothing!!! and dont give us the BS that republicans opposed obama's attempt in fixing the economy! we dont want to hear excuses!!! Riech!! WE DONT SUPPORT FLIP FLOPPERS!!

  • @anguianoconnie YES, accept reality: RepuKKKeliKKKan't destroyed the economy, and YOU are gonna let them. Because you're not worth it.

  • Neither Democrats nor Republicans care about you.

  • Obama gets more contribution from the financial sector than all of the republicans running for presidency COMBINED.

  • @NeatNetwork YOU LIE! where's the proof? Why do they give more to Romney and Noosed Gingrich?

  • I would probably like this video if it didn't promote the idea of Obama being re-elected in 2012. RON PAUL 2012!

  • @TEMPEWITNESS of course we love Ron Paul because he wants to let poor people get sick, and he wants to let the sick die, and is AGAINST helping poor people, unless they are in his own constituency, of course.

  • @TheSteelGeneraI You really don't know what you are talking about. I suggest you actually research the man instead of simply believing the bullshit people say about him. Start with his voting record.

  • @TEMPEWITNESS More idiocy from the Ronulan wing of the Unicorn party. You CAN'T support what Reich says AND Ron Paul at the same time. Reich believes in government intervention in the financial sector and Paul opposes it. Reich believes government should provide a safety net and Paul opposes it. Reich believes the Fed's a good idea and we need to be able to print money when needed and Grandpa McCrackpot Paul thinks we can return to the gold standard. Sheesh!

  • @CarlaFWard Look, I wont pretend to know all Reich's politics, but up until he said "We are behind you Mr President" He was saying things that I, and Dr. Paul Agree with. Glass, Steagall, Trickle down economics...so on. I said I would have liked the video, not that I agreed with all the mans opinions.

  • For those of you who are so dead set against re-electing Obama - would you rather have one of the GOP clowns in the White House? Who would you rather have instead?

  • @hypnometal You want the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right?

  • @hypnometal I would rather have Ron Paul.

  • I can't believe all the ignorant and anti-Obama comments to this video. Obama has been trying to raise taxes on the wealthy can reform the tax code, but he doesn't have the votes due to American voters who put hard line right wingers in Congress, who simply do not compromise and have declared that anything Obama is for they are against. Any liberal who blames Obama for not raising taxes on the wealthy hasn't been paying attention to American politics. We're in trouble if we don't reelect him.

  • @benjighaus Bullshit. Obama is weak and a failed negotiator. He didn't manage to pass anything descent when he had a democratic congress. What about the fact that he will sign a bill that will deny defendant's right of a fair trial if they are "suspected" of being terrorist or aiding "terrorism". He could veto it but he won't. Why? Because he's a failure. What Bush did in "secret" will be legitimized by Obama. And don't blames republicans for it.

  • @benjighaus

I think Obama has been trying to look like he's been trying to be a Democrat. There's a difference there. He was a flat out incompetent negotiator, the compromiser in chief. It all started when he put the same Goldman Sachs guys in charge of the economy as Bush. All he had to do was to sit tight and show his resolve and the Bush tax cuts would have disappeared -but he said he just had to get unemployment extended, a bad trade off that made him look weak.

  • @justgivemethetruth I agree with you but many people do not agree with us. I think he could have "shamed" the Republicans into extending the unemployment insurance - instead of being blamed for it if the Republicans did not cooperate in extending it. If he demanded that they were separate issues he probably could have gotten both by Congress - because the American people SUPPORTED both the unemployment extension and the end of the Bush tax cuts - especially for the rich.

  • @benjighaus Obama has been "trying" no such thing. What has he been "trying"? How about this: He has been "trying" to gut the social safety net (Social Security and Medicare) repeatedly at every opportunity. Note his hand picked Catfood Commission. It never reached a conclusion, but he still trumped the co-chairs hideous ultra-regressive unauthorized recommendations. Then he tried all summer to offer up Soc Sec and Medicare on a silver platter as a "Grand Compromise". Now payroll tax cuts.

  • @cpmkw

So what should we do instead? Reform is impossible with the current Congress, end of

  • @benjighaus "We're in trouble if we don't reelect him". Absolute nonsense. We're in trouble if we *DO* reelect him. Why? It will "prove" to the Democratic Party establishment the the legitimacy of the gamble that they need not lift a finger to serve the interests of those who put them in office--something which will create nightmares for us all well down the road. This in turn weakens the brand of the Democratic party itself and makes it that much harder to ever get real reformers elected.

  • No, Mr. Reich, we will NOT re-elect him.

  • Obama is in the pocket of big business. Re-electing him will do nothing. He's in the white house right now, has been for a while. He's not going to do any of that. Wake up! Obama is on the other team! Obama is an Uncle Tom! He isn't going to do any of that! He will get re-elected and then talk about how his hands are tied all over again!

  • How in the hell do you progressives still trust Obama? From my perspective it is quite sad. I'm sorry that the man you put so much faith in isn't doing the job you thought he would. I realize the truth is difficult to accept. Obama is corporate owned and supported he will not fight for you. I'm sorry.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • I had an argument with a FOX "News" viewing IDIOT who couldn't see how building a freeway could have a multiplier effect so I thought I'd share. You build a freeway and in the middle of nowhere include an exit ramp. Right away all land around that ramp skyrockets in value. Investors move in fast to snap up the land and before you know it there are gas stations, restaurants and motels. A few miles away tract homes spring up and then shops and factories.

    A whole town,...born from a ramp....

  • Don't waste your time on Obama he might promise some of these things but we all know what that's worth, NOTHING. YouTube erikdblair2012

  • Robert Reich please write this deal into a signed pledge, Grover Norquist style. Get all the Dems to sign on. Please.

  • The GOP will steal the 2012 election and Obama won't do a damn thing about it. Mark this post.

  • The right tells us it took a war to get us out of the last depression. Well, what was that? The greatest stimulus program of all time! A successful stimulus has to be all or nothing, like jumping across the Grand Canyon. If you miss by just one inch you lose. What we need is massive stimulus in the things that will grow this country (infrastructure, education, health) and it has to come from the government. Of course, maybe the neocon right would just like another war.

  • If HOPE was audacious in 2008, it will be all but lost in 2012. Gone too is the rhetoric of CHANGE. Obama is doing little more that telling people what they already know.. It's part of his old pump and dump election strategy.. He'll make folks feel he shares their concerns and later leave them feeling disappointed and betrayed..

  • @urbanverificationist It depends on what you mean by "change".

Consider where we WERE under Bush. A horsie judge running FEMA. Sex and cocaine orgies in the Dept of the Interior with Big Oil. News of gas hitting $5 a gallon greeted with big grins. Claims that Greenpeace could be charged under moldy piracy laws. A lobbyist for the Timber Industry in charge of our National Parks. A U. N. rep who claimed we own the planet. Wars and fear used to gain power and "24" treated like it was real life.

  • you are no longer in control

  • you americans are such a good dreamers...wake up....Like Obama is your president

  • Ron Paul son.

Cmawn' people, we welcome you with open arms.

You might disagree with him on some of his ideas, but you can't argue he is by far, just miles, hundreds of miles ahead of every other Repub nom and this shill.

  • @Sylinic He won't raise taxes on the wealthy or on capital gains, in fact he wants to cut them even more. I agree with him on many foreign policy issues but not any economic issues.

  • @86am He wants to cut taxes on everyone, and to make that possible he wants to cut things like the IRS, wasteful military spending, ect. And this is out of being a constitutionalist, not out of greed like the other candidates. But you have to admit, he honest and consistent. Not like the rest of these fuckface puppets.

  • reich, your claims are SO bogus. the economy was doing Fine under clinton with bush 41's tax increase to 31% (which lost bush the election). when clinton Increased taxes to 39.6% the economy faltered, and when bush 43 reduced it back to 31% growth resumed, even though we were in a war against terror. and what did obama do to help the economy? Obama Reduced Taxes. what the heck do you think will happen when obama gets his 39.6% taxes back? in a dismal economy? HUH?

    Reich = HACK

  • Here is Robert Reich trying to sell the government as god/hero narrative and no one is buying it because it's complete bullshit. The government got us into this mess and you're trying to sell the lie that it's the rich who are to blame. I love how you mention that the rich are paying off the government, but you don't blame the government for taking their money. So stupid, Robert. It's really pathetic.

You're a fraud, Robert. Plain and simple.

  • @onyxavatar

I don't understand how you can defend the actions of the Government, the greedy Corporations, the "rich", the lobbysists, any of them?! You sir, are a complete moron.

  • The GOP may eat itself alive, but even Obama's acknowledged this isn't going to be a slam dunk re-election. I'd love to see Reich or someone on the left make Obama WORK for the nomination. The 2012 election is too important to see it fall into GOP hands. But I'd certainly like Obama to back up his rhetoric with concrete actions. I know the Republicans have been fighting him every step of the way. The difference between Dems and the GOP is dying almost as fast as WWII vets and the middle class.

  • Will President Obama respond? ... I think so many Americans are disillusioned by his job performance. Obama's rarely had a problem talking a great game. I know the Republicans are blocking him every chance they get, but Obama has rolled over when he should have fought. And, there are too many key people in positions of power who should be out of work, Ben Bernanke and Tim Geithner chief among them.

Can't we draft Robert Reich as a potential and legitimate challenger for the Democratic nod?

  • I love Robert, but he needs to stop rooting for Obama. He is no different than any Republicans running today. Same shit, different color.

  • MoveOn = turncoats akin to Joe Lieberman. Cunts

  • When were you ever middle class Mr. Secretary?

  • Glass Steagal Act?

  • The only turning point this speech in Kansas shows is that Obama is campaigning again. Once he gets elected, he will act just like he did during his first term, as a passive corrupt 1%er. Don't believe his lies, lets find someone else

  • I LOVE MY OBAMA

  • talk is cheap. let me remind people.. obama did not end the war in iraq. now they want to end all cell phone usage in cars. i almost went off the road cause a pretty girl was walking on the street. they can end that too.

  • I agree with all he said w/ exception of the last part- If reasonable it would be wise to negotiate however it would stupid to negotiate with a person (President/elected official) who has more so than not shown disregard and lack of consideration for the majority. His path is already paved by the corrupt - the ones he evidently serves, rules in favor of, and bails out as opposed to the majority. I would think differently if he were to end Corporate Personhood.

  • "I vow NOT to take any money from Wall Street. I vow to support and fight to overturn Citizens United so the peoples voice can be heard over Corporate money." Those are the two statements I need to hear from any Candidate who wants my vote!

Until we get Corporations out of our Elections and Government we can't do anything about a Big bloated corrupt and inept Government that fails to meet the basic needs of the people.

  • Comment removed

  • It's a long way to elections. Let's see what Obama does in this next year. Words are empty now, actions are what will sway my vote. How much and what will he do with his executive powers and veto power? We all know that the congress dead locked and have lost their minds. It's time now for Obama to lead like he never has before.

  • The difference between most Democrat and Republican politicians these days is that the Republicans are just out-of-the-closet when it comes to being total whores for 1%er lobbyists....Behind closed doors (where the real-deals are made) they're pretty much all the same, and neither side really gives a crap at-all about the poor and what's left of the middle class.

The real "job creator" in America is a healthy economy that grows from a strong middle class.......and that's just about gone now.

  • @peacewavenow Yeah, so aim your frustration at the republicans in congress, who REFUSE to raise taxes on the wealthy to give the middle class a break.

  • @peacewavenow Spot on dude, spot on. It's really funny/sad that there are morons in this country who still believe in "trickle down economics" theory.

  • @peacewavenow Ron Paul.

  • @peacewavenow yes - GOP are100% whores owned by their lobbyist and corporate pimps; dems r only 80% whores. GOP $ whores and love whoring; Dems $ whore and feel uneasy and guilty about it. That's the only diff bw them in this USSA: the Evil Empire Lite with 1.5 parties.

  • @peacewavenow That sounds about right - and how do we get them to start working for the people who put them in power - the American people? WE MUST find a way to outlaw money in elections and legalized bribery. WE MUST find a way to get these filthy politicians to only care about avaerage Americans again. HOW?

  • It doesn't mark anything, he's just spitting out what people want to hear and then after the election guarantied, he's going to do the bidding of those who pay him.

If he doesn't do shit before the election,He's never going to do what people want. get rid of him. revolt

    Both sides suck.

    It's over.

Do not be fooled again by either bought side.

Obama's presidency has been such a failure, because he's done nothing progressive and has been doing the bidding of only those who bought him. End it.

  • @mrx00666

I agree that Obama has been sucked in by corruption in many ways.

But lets not forget why he couldnt do more. Lets not forget teabaggers, filibusters, birthers, Obamacare ignorant rage, etc.

  • @TheTruthBToldShow

While I agree those groups are absolute pains, sure.

But anyone, and I mean anyone could have shamed the republicans into voting our way.

Obama chose to be a republican light and did nothing to fight back, He wanted the same thing that Republicans wanted. More campaign money from those that can afford to buy them through campaign funds.

All that the Republicans gave Obama were gifts that he could have used against them. He never used them. He's pathetic.

  • @mrx00666 So, there is this thing called congress. This isn't a dictatorship. Things don't magically happen. We need a progressive congress for a progressive president to work.

  • @MZbhest

hahahaha for a progressive president to work. :D

Let me know when we have one... hahahhaha oh that was funny.

As if Obama was progressive... oh, good one man.

By the way, congress is the group a real progressive could have shamed into going his way and should have, it's not as difficult as you think, Obama is just not one to get into any argument or make his case. Progressives fight back, make their case, and win.

He's not progressive, he never was. It's a false title.

  • Excellent!

  • "With all the money at the top, the bottom can't spend to keep the economy going.", why do people listen to this? You go to work earn a wage, and save to create businesses that's what keeps the economy going. The money at the top does not effect my vote. You will not have job growth unless you give the incentive for people to save and invest. End the capital gains tax and business tax. Support lower home prices so people can afford them.

  • @pirucreek Where is the evidence for your claim?

  • @pirucreek

Than why hasn't this worked already? You give no solution, just trickle-down talking points.

Who in the hell is a company going to sell products to if the mass of people are broke? Who in the hell would invest in a company with nowhere to sell the products.

    You got it bass ackwards

  • @TheTruthBToldShow I agree.

  • @TheTruthBToldShow trickle down = piss down

  • @TheTruthBToldShow There is always an ass for every seat. Where there is a will there is a way. This country constantly consumes, even when they can't afford it. They will always buy the shit that is produced.

However, entrepreneurs have gone on strike!! They aren't coming back until after Obama is out of office. Who do you think will hold out longer?

  • @TheTruthBToldShow They will sell to people that offer something to sell too. Obama flys to Hawaii spends 10s of million and in opinion he is providing people with jobs. The reality is the best thing is if he stayed in Washington and allowed the people to keep their money cleaning toilets so they can fly to Hawaii for $500 and go on vacation themselves. The best thing you can do for the economy is fire Obama so he can help you clean toilets too, 4hrs a day instead of 8.

  • Theres no point
