  • 1200 watt.. just too much..

  • Get a aftermarket cooler and overclock your rig

  • Nice video mate, I am going to build my first comp in the next couple of weeks.... one more wage packet!! Whats better the CORE i7 960 or the new Core i5-2500K? Any help would be appriciated as you look like you know your stuff :)

  • @Gruffington31

I can't pretend I'm an expert -- i tend to just buy top of the line stuff that seems to work together! That said, it depends on what you're going to use the computer for -- gaming? Video editing? facebook? Unless you're a power user (which I am not) the difference between those two processors probably won't be noticeable, I think...check out newegg, though -- you can compare specs on both cards there!

  • @Gruffington31

From what I've read, the diff between the two isn't pronounced....so costwise, the i5 is a good option..the only way you'd really see a difference is if you got the waaaay expensive upper tier i7. Good luck!

  • @diablo165 Thanks for the reply mate. I am going to be using it for after effects and photoshop work... and also gaming.

  • Is the sound card worth getting for gaming?

  • @urheadg0ne

In my case, probably not -- i tend to play sound thru the monitor or low budget headphones.......i could have gotten a cheaper soundcard, but if you've got a surround system and all that, the card would prolly be good to have! As it is, it does all i need it to do!

  • Hi, you have a very nice build there. I had one question, you are using the EA231WMI-BK monitor, correct? Have you gamed on it? Do you notice any ghosting on it at all, ( if you play fps games)? Thanks.:).

  • Ok, so i got the HAF-X, ive bought 3 MegaFlow 200 mm fans, which i think is the ones you have on top, anyway i was gonna use those 3 to replace the ones that are already in the case, that has no red LEDs, so that would be the sidepanel fan and 1 on top. So that leaves me with 2 200 mm fans, that i have no idea what to use for. I was looking around for mounting holes, but couldnt find any, and now i see you have placed 2 fans right next to the hard drive area. How did you fit those? Size arethey?

  • @AKhellbindeR --- well, you and I are using different cases,so I'm not sure no much help this is gonna be...but I think my drive cage fans are 120mm. You might check the manufacturers website or newegg to see what size fans you need. I'm holding on to my old fans as spares just in case the ones I have in now go bad. Good luck!

  • One word: Damn.

  • @Gerardo781 Hehe, yea!

  • Where did you get the case window?

  • Did you add more fans in the case?

  • @Tranzorr

I did! it came with 3 but has room for 4 more. i replaced the existing fans with blue LED ones and the new fans i added were the same!

  • @diablo165 Ok cool because I'm thinking of getting the cooler master 690 ll advanced and add some blue LED ones. Quick question, how much did your whole case and its specs cost you? (full pc box without monitor and the rest, just the box) Thanks.

  • nice sys m8. can you help me.? PLEXTOR 24X DVD/CD Writer Black SATA Model PX-880SA. work well ? and DL x speed. ? many thanks

  • @omygod666oms according to newegg, these are the specs:

    PLEXTOR Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 24X DVD/CD Writer LightScribe Support

I've only burned a few DVDs, i really mainly use it for viewing/reading DVDs. I've never burned DL!

  • @diablo165 thanks diablo165. :-)

  • where did you get the side panel?

  • @19stephen34 & hardhead040 -- I got it from frozenCPU some months ago -- i checked back last month and they were out of them...at least for the black case....

  • Where did you get the side panel window from? I have been looking for and all I can find are DIY kits and the insufficient Cooler Master one. Thanks.

  • is the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series sound card and driver thingy better than the Turtle Beach DSS?? in terms of converting 5.7/7.1 in HEADPHONE ONLY? and does it convert 5.1/7.1 only or also EAX 5.0 too (in headphones, dont care about speakers yet i already know its good for speakers :P)

    thnx ;)

  • @YaarZePirate -- i must say, i have absolutely no idea....i've only used this card......

  • Thanks guys! @ Chris -- my tentative plan is to eventually go crossfire -- and/or upgrade to the i980 -- in either case, the extra fans will come in handy..til then, my system should definitely be running cool!

  • overkill cooling for just 1 GPU.

still very nice that could cool 2 HD 5970's

  • very very nice :)
