Wow, that is absolutley superb. And whats great is that this tutorial can be used for a lot of different mini modles, not just LOTR. I wanna start making some mini models like these, and I figured the first thing I would be needing is "Green stuff" but where can I buy this stuff? Thankyou!
May I know why you used a brush to apply your basecoat instead of spraying on? I seems much faster if you had sprayed on but it might be you encounter some prob thats why us used a brush. If that is so I sure would like to know pls :)
it looks awesome... i can really learn a lot from yor videos... i just have one question though... how is it physical possible for only one half of the arch to remain? what's holding it in place? ;) sorry...
Cement.. plaster?? It's not at all impossible.. but I have to admit you don't see many 'half arches'.. they're either a full arch, or not at all.. :) In town we have the only remaining full Roman archway in Britain, as seen in my 'Goodbye Snow' video on CurtisWildebeest.. it only survived because they filled it up with rubble and rubbish for a good few hundred years.. :)

@3ntomology -Thanks. You can get green stuff on ebay or amazon or at wargaming stores. It is an epoxy putty that comes in a blue and yellow ribbon..

@2paintminiatures thankyou :) I found it on Amazon.com but it seems pretty expensive for such a small ammount :(
Well im gonna go to the nearby Comic Quest (comic book store). Ive never been inside but I am almost positive they will sell miniatures :)

XxGOfastaStripexX 1 year ago
@XxGOfastaStripexX -You can use plant roots for the trees and dried up moss as the bushes. That's what I use for this.

I just have loads of cheap black acrylic to expend. No special reason actually. Using spray is good as well.
2paintminiatures 1 year ago
I so feel like trying this.... but am so afraid I will suck at it.
Nah, just kidding. ;^) It sure looks like a lot of fun to do.

Also, what is the tree made of? Actual twigs or something else?
gazeebo88 1 year ago
Why do you not basecoat it with a spraypaint? Would be alot faster with the same results.
gazeebo88 1 year ago
@gazeebo88 - It's way way cheaper mate. Slower but the same result in the end. Roots, twigs whatever you can get your hands on.
