  • Why the high reps? Don't you just need to fatigue the muscles and cause micro tears for hypertrophy. Say 2 to 3 set of 8-12 reps? And its not the workout that's gonna make you buff. It's the correct dieting.

  • Where's Chris Evans?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • @TheLordsServant4ever It's the workout that he did for the role.

  • does this circuit have to be done 3 times a day or 3 times a week n what warm up would be recommended

  • @danielhanlon19 go for a small jog ( 400meters) and stretch for a warm up. And it most definitely is 3 times a week.

  • How many times do I have to do this workout in a week? I also wonder why there is no ab workout.

  • @Pece17 no need for abs when you have buff arms shoulders chest and legs baby

  • Where are all the 'roids?

  • do you guys get the official workouts from all of these films or are they your take on how the actors look like they do?

  • @tomrocksyourworld this is a take on how actors look like they do.

  • what about the rest times? how many seconds should I rest between the exercises, and how long should I take a break between the whole circuits?

and is there an alternative for chin-ups? I can't really do 25, maybe 5, because I am to overweightet...

  • @TheFamousExtreme you should try not to rest at all between any of the exercises. But do the best you can. If you need rest, take some, and then go onto the next exercise.

Between the whole circuit you should rest 1 minute.

Instead of chin ups, which are difficult, you can do pulldowns. This is a seated cable based exercise where a long, slightly bent rod hangs overhead. Reach for the bar with arms shoulder distance apart and hands facing you. Pull bar into your upper chest.

  • @physique180

haha, I just saw your response after writing all of that. What a waste, but you know whats up.

  • @TheFamousExtreme

Yea there is an alternative for chin-ups. Use bands for resistance. Hang the band over the pull-up bar, grab the handles and take a seated postion, then pull into your chest as if you are doing a chin-up/pull-up. Honestly, do a set of regular chin-ups (as many as you can do- no shame in 5, they're tough, just keep pusihing yourself each time though). Then hit the bands immediately.

  • what is the name of the song??

  • does taking supplements compulsory to get perfext six pack?

  • That black guy is boss

  • is this the real workout they did or what you assume?

  • @vincentcapuano this is a workout based on increasing lean muscle and cutting some body fat. This workout was inspired by the captain america character but not exactly what he did.

  • @physique180 But how do you get abs through this workout and what do you think chris evans captain america did for his workout really?

  • @physique180 But how do you get abs through this workout ?

  • @vincentcapuano by burning calories! The myth out there is that you need to do a ton of crunches to get a 6 pack. You see all of these infomercials about ab workouts on TV. That is horribly wrong. They don't work. The truth about making your abs visible is that you need to reduce your body fat.

How do you reduce your body fat? Keep your workout moving by really decreasing your rest times. That is why we developed this workout, to really focus on keeping you moving.

  • @physique180 i see thank you but how long must you do this workout to get a body like captain america?

  • @physique180 This only works if your fat and you have a six pack underneath all the fat. If you are skinny and don't have any fat at all then you need to do crunches and other ab workouts.

  • @hughesjd83 If you want a six pack.... you NEEEEED to burn body fat. Its plane and simple.

  • @physique180 you mean "plain and simple"?

  • @vincentcapuano

In each of those routines you are using your abs, keep them tight during the training. Just look at the basic pushups, an excellent ab workout.

  • No sit ups?

  • Good stuff. I just uploaded a few videos some days ago just for starters more in depth videos coming. Im no captain america but maybe I could be the Black Panther in The Avengers lol...Checkout the videos

  • Hey do you have a warm up routine for me to use before doing this workout? i tried the workout it felt great but my body ache the day after because the warm up routine i used suck >_<

  • @shin1300 We will post a video response with a dynamic warm up on Thursday for you!!!

  • @physique180 Thanks :D

owh send me a link if you uploaded it :D

  • hey im skinny as the skinny version of captain america do you recommend that i eat more fat than eating less? or should i keep a eat less while i workout?

  • @shin1300 you need to just eat more all together. You need to increase your protein intake, carb intake, and healthy fat intake (omega 3 rich foods.

  • @physique180 Thanks for the tip i was just about to start eating :D

  • @shin1300 Hahaha Skinny version of Captain America lmao

  • man this is rigorous!

  • 4 day split or full body?

  • seemed like an easy workout till the chin ups came up..i can do all of the exercises with a 25lbs dumbell but i can only do 10 chin ups max..need to work on my back for the strength

  • i cant do 25 chin ups

  • There are some more basic exercises in here but some harder ones too... all of those pull ups are not easy.

  • what about abs ??

  • @gogban the truth about abs, is that crunches accomplish very little when it comes to exposing your six pack. It's all about elevating your heart rate and burning calories to trim the body fat.

If you want an ab routine... check out youtube.com/watch?v=7wVwA7ftBcU

  • @physique180 is jogging and cardio the best way to trim fat??

  • @sk8boardn101 cardio will help burn fat, because you are burning calories, however it is not the most effective as far as changing your physique. Weight training at moderate to high intensities is the best way to increase lean muscle and decrease fat at the same time! Cardio training should supplement your workout routine.

Looking around the gym, the most in shape people usually only do minimal amounts of cardio.

  • @physique180 yeh dude the most in shape but the most unfit I guarntee you.

  • @Maxat4 yes lean muscle mass does not necessarily mean that you are FIT. However, studies show that individuals with lower body fat percentages tend to have greater athletic performance.

For those looking to be more efficient when it comes to endurance, cardio training is obviously beneficial. However, cardio training alone is not optimal for physique transformation.

  • cool

  • you sure this is what they did ?

  • @vincentcapuano This is not the exact workout routine of Luke Evans for this movie. It was inspired by the movie to build and shape lean muscle, while decreasing body fat.

  • @physique180 i hope after this i can become Captain America XD

  • @vincentcapuano Its possible that these were included, but I'm sure their workout was much more difficult and intense than this. These are all pretty basic workouts here. These are a good place to start if youre a beginner tho.
