@PolakBear By .44 Magnum, do you mean either the name of the bullet or the S&W M29? It's confuses me, though.
And no, the Beretta M9 have 15 rounds. I count 10 rounds fired from Ray Liotta's gun, and it have the sound of the Desert Eagle, when the Desert Eagle only fires about 7, 8 or 9 rounds.
@Fanofcartoons1994 You can tell from the way it looks it's an M9. The only reason they had a desert eagle sound effect most likely is because that was the first stock noise they found. And the revolver's probably a snubnosed version of a gun firing .44 magnum bullets.
@TheKimKyok Funny... Anyone who has this "condition" knows it as a condition, or at worst, a disorder. Not a disease. Stop trying to get attention. Also, often people with DID don't know they have it, until much later in life, if at all.
That was sarcasm if you didn't catch it, I mean it's the internet so you probably wouldn't have. I find it to be a disease becase I don't like having it. And how am I trying to get attention? I found out I had DID three years ago, so it only depends on the person, don't generalize
Well, the whole film was interesting, intriguing, sometime even scary but I didn't like the ending. Why the hell a movie must have a bad ending in order to become "masterpiece" or classic of genre? Anyway, I loved the film. John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, John Hawkes, Alfred Molina, Clea DuVall and all others did a great job
This movie depicts DID accurately the same way Bad Boys II accurately depicts life as a police officer. Please take an actual Psych class before claiming such nonsense.
Can somebody explain to me, the motel sequences, are they in Malcolm River's mind or did it actually happen

What does the doctor mean by everyone was named after a state? Rhodes (Ray Liotta) and Paris (Amanda Peet) are names of cities.

@siennavine81
Paris Nevada is Peet's character's full name. And how easily do we forget about Rhode Island.

But I will say that when he didn't recognize himself seems innacurate.
