It's easy to avoid this, to avoid any outrageous charge. Always call before you do something that you even THINK might bring up a charge, ask what you can do to avoid the charge, and if there's no way you can take it overseas without a per-use charge widening your sphincter, then don't take the thing with you. All areas of the world have their own prepaid phones. Better to spend about an avg of $60 for that than whatever usage you might bring up with your current carrier.

Iphone or Ijoke, this is nothing but an over priced pice of crap, I had one for three months and sold the damn thing. Yeah it's fun for about a day but that is abou it. you can't even send picture text messages with it and can't forward text messages. then they charge you 30 dollars for the iphone plan ie. email and unlimited internet, lol, it pics up free wi-fi people, and then they charge you even more money for a text package. I don't know just dosen't make sence to me.
