Ahh this song... Reminds me of two things. 1. When I first arrived in the valley, pitch black and couldn't see shit! Well, I took the right turn at the start, into that ravine that leads to the old trade square... got laid out hard by the group of Orcs who are on duty there. Haha. 2. Wandering around the castle, seeing all the men with such low morale, probably knowing they will never leave those walls alive... ahh, the atmosphere this game had!!
i have a friend that dont wants to try out gothic 1-3 cause he is calling the graphic and animations "old" but they are still "classic" gothic 1-3 would not be that good games with todays high res graphic and more realistic animations, no.
that graphic we know from gothic is PERFECT. i like the animations and the graphic of gothic 1-2, from g3 too. its giving the game his own dark touch.

Gothic 1 was greated in 1992 and stil it stands on the 52 place of world wide games it even stands before modern games shit. Gothic FTW i love the game exept 3 which was overbugged and 4 where you play a total other char -_-
@Cleonization Dude, in 1992 the people were still using Intel486's (as the first Pentium came out in 1993), they were running MS-DOS and OpenGL 1.0 had just been released (DirectX & Direct3D wouldn't become available till 1995 when Win95 was released). If you've played Gothic on a 486 running MS-DOS then I must congratulate you on your remarcable acomplishment. But seriously, Gothic was released in 2001 after being in development since 1997. This track is my favorite from Gothic II soundtrack
I wouldn't say that Gothic 3 is bad. The story was nice, and the music was fucking awesome. The bugs did ruin it a bit for me, though.
Arcania, on the other hand, is terrible. I only played the first part (the one on your home island), and haven't played it since. The story was fairly predictable, and the graphics were horribly optimised, not to mention the shallow and uninteresting characters. I recommend against playing it.
If you want another Gohtic, play Risen. It's definitely worth it
I think that the community at worldofgothic has brought the true Gothic trilogy as a solidified religion.
Gothic and Gothic 2 were perfect from the start, and with the enhanced ability to modify Gothic 3, I think it is fair to say that Gothic 3 is also wirthy of Gothic status.
Arcania ain't no Gothic, it was like a run to the discounter grabing some special offers. They wanted to please the mainstream and changed the freeroam for linear progression. I don't want to say it was terribad, but it left a lot to be desired, at least if you are a true Gothic fan. Now i bite my ass that i bought it blindly, won't happen with their planed Setarif Addon..
Now that seal, if you go research it, sounds a heck of a lot like the eye of Innos. It supposivly allowed him power over demons which would obey his questions for he only wish'd wisdom. Xardas is one of those extremely rare ones who can call forth demons and inprison them or steal their soul.. legend tells Solomon did the same. Combining the powers of God or Innos with Beliar or Satan then being the master for the sake of others.
Thought theres not an incredable amount of dialogue regarding the magics, this game allows one to wonder with his or her imagination. The memories remebmerd have the virtual reality to blame as well as the well thoroghly thought out structures and relevance to alchemy but mostly ancient knowledge.

Returning to the valley of mines in gothic 2 for someone who played also the first Gothic is one hell of experience. Is like returning home and finding it totally wasted by orcs and dragons. The music catches perfectly the feeling.

@HighlanderNK - dude I played every gothic game. Gothic 1, Gothic 2 Night of the Raven, Gothic 3, and Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods and I thought they were all pretty good. For my Gothic 3 it worked fine and there were no glitches so I actually liked Gothic 3.

Ich hab bei Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 die alte welt nach gebaut. Lautsprecher mit Musik z.b die. Oder bevor man durch den Stollen geht die Musik wenn man an den 2 Paladinen durch das Tor geht. Und die Burg mit Zelten umstellt. Das sieht so geil aus. PS Gute Musik 5*

the bast game i ever played and definitely the best music theme!Gothic is more than just a game,Gothic is a religion lol ! But,Gothic 3 ruined everything,main story was changed and that was a paint full blow for me and my friends who play Gothic.
Now,i have no desire for new Gothic series.The night of the Raven is the last Gothic mode i want to play.

@HighlanderNK - dude I played every gothic game. Gothic 1, Gothic 2 Night of the Raven, Gothic 3, and Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods and I thought they were all pretty good. For my Gothic 3 it worked fine and there were no glitches so I actually liked Gothic 3.

Though...Where are they? I mean...Okay they traveled away from Khorinis and killed the Dragons,but where is Beliars Claw or Innos Anger if you had it? LoL?
Also,wheres your heavy dragon suit. Everything is missed,fucked,okay the bugs got fixed *applouse* But Gothic 3 doesnt has anything to do with Gothic 2 or 1 ... Also not Risen,Gothic 4 or Forsaken gods.

@HighlanderNK LOL! Gothic 3 was nice too, was different but still nice too, nice soundtrack, nice world, nice all, just the bugs were stupid (fixed with CP) and its not finished, cause stupid jowood, they wanted to release the game but it wasnt finished.
but gothic 3 is nice too, try it out as rebel, G1-G2 are very nice, but G3 too just on a different way

ich sehe als allererstes den boden. er ist nicht wie damals als ich das minental verlies, er ist grau, steinig und verbrannt. ein paar meter weiter sehe ich einen paladin, er liegt zerbissen am boden und ein drachensnapper tut sich an ihm gütlich. ich schlachte das biest und denke daran wie dieses tal einst war..und während ich dem biest die zähne und krallen herausschneide denke ich mir: und diese verfickten scheiss drachen die mein tal zerstört haben sind die nächsten...

Ich hab bei Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 die alte welt nach gebaut. Lautsprecher mit Musik z.b die. Oder bevor man durch den Stollen geht die Musik wenn man an den 2 Paladinen durch das Tor geht. Und die Burg mit Zelten umstellt. Das sieht so geil aus. PS Gute Musik 5*
