i man i agree pro tools is really neat though but the only reason i think the music industry is buggin about the fl studio is that it is to easy to get a alot of ppl who claim they have they skill (NOT ALL) really don't and they make fl studio look bad if you want to see some really good(well you will be the judge) fl studio work then check out my channel i jus started uplaodin some not my best though i don't want them to get stolen cuz i am not in the music industry as yet if i am worthy help!!

I'm having problems installing version 8 on Windows 7. There is a update but you have to have  version 8 installed before the update . What should I do?

@rushaa yo on windows 7 run the display in compatibilty mode and it should work. sounds weird but it works. plus windows 7 automatically trys to find a way for it work. it took me aminute but it will work then upload the 8.3 update. i had the same problem with ableton live 8 install. it drives you crazy but after a lil tweakin it will work i had hairs coming out at first too

These are all Instruments and Plug ins that come with Pro Tools 8? Meaning all i'd have to do is purchase a PreSonus MBox that includes PT8 and all this will come along?

Not a presonus mbox, its a digidesign mbox 2 or just the mbox depending on how many outs you need but you can get the mbox2 mini and pro tools 8 and it comes with all these plugins on the video..

If you don't have the extra "mp3 export option," you can bounce to disk as a WAV file. Open it in iTunes and convert the WAV to a Mp3 in iTunes.

I'm very VERY new to Pro Tools and was wondering what I require to run Pro Tools 8 and what the difference is between MPowered, LE & HD? Do I need certain hardware/software already existin on my computer before purchasing PT8 or does it come with all I need?

I will be gettin a new tower soon, nothin too high spec prob duel core wit bout 2-3GB RAM... is this sufficiant to run PT8? and which is better PT8 or Cubase 5 (I know PT is alot cheaper)

Protools needs a compatible interface

Mpowered = M-Audio Interfaces only

LE = Lower end digidesign interfaces only

HD = The big guns of sound engineering. only.

All three are incredibly close in terms of software features.

ProTools excites me. Look at vids. PT now has some sweet sequencing abilities, and if it's quality you want, Compression, EQ all that good stuff, is so much nicer in PT.

I'm getting a 6in/10out FW interface for £290 on ebay. The software is about £170 I think

They need to realise that times have change, technology has improved, there's no justification for the price tag of Protools HD anymore, most modern day pc/mac pack more power than that stupid card (lol).

With a strong computer, with Cubase or Logic, plus an audio interface, and a kickass converter, Pro tools aint gat nothing on you....I personally prefer the symphony system from apogee with virtually no latency, you have the freedom to work with whatever DAW suits you......

Yes I say it has. And there is also a new score editor. Midi is not overlooked any more

He's using Category and Manufacturer view so it appears the list is endless... Helpful having both the manufacturer and the category of the plug-ins to track down oddly named ones (for me at least).
