  • Could someone please explain the 'Pontillo' reference? After a quick google search I found a Tory MP by the name of Michael Portillo who was active in the early 90s, but I can't figure out whether his name was used simply for the democracy comment or if the entire sketch is some sort of parody of something that actually happened...Maybe I'm just over-analysing...

  • Youtube comments if ever there were any.

  • thats 30 pence post&packaging down the drain isn't it! i couldn't stop laughing at that bit!

  • Sounds like it's from the same person who wrote to Coughlan.

  • To tear out lungs and replace with portable clothes (yes please)

  • Were they reading a Youtube comment?

  • ...it's almost as if someone got Shakespeare drunk, gave him a combination of crack and Valium, then asked him to write a sonnet...

  • Portable clothes... Oh, I love them.

  • @prokentsful woahhh wtf? someone's well got anger issues. Why don't you just go crawl up your own arse and die?

  • @ArtfulDodger92 I'm sick of clicking on every video and seeing: "46 people didn't like Halo", or some variation.

I am also in a bad mood right now..

  • @prokentsful Well clearly this isn't about Halo. I was just stating my opinion that I didn't get how anyone could not find this funny. Maybe you should wait till your bad mood has passed before you go insulting people?

  • @ArtfulDodger92 I'm also in a bad mood. Can I also have a go please!!

If thats the case i could try uploading another...

  • i thought that, maybe it`s just the clear audio

  • @SorteOrm Yes, it is about a half second out. I also have had audio sync problems when re-encoding certain videos and had trouble finding the options that would work. Good luck.

  • They make me laugh until it hurts!

  • Has Stephen Fry ever been on House?

  • no he has not

  • Damn... because that would be funny as hell.

  • Well, they've been in almost everything else together, so... not really.

  • they are talking about getting him a guest spot which would be epic but they haven't gone anywhere with it that I know.

  • guest spot on what? Do u mean house? because that would be AWESOME and brilliant

  • yeah, Stephan fry mentioned it in an interview while doing Bones that he and some others were trying to get it together to happen.

  • This reminds me of a line from House: "Norwegian chocolate? Frankly, you buy that stuff, the terrorists win."

  • Well, i take the view that if you give in to these people... you've given in.

  • a qoute worthy of dearly departed Mr Doublyuh himself.

    etewati

  • I could see that coming and it still killed me. :) It's the delivery, Stephen is legendary.

  • There's 30 pence postage and package down the bloody drain, isn't it?!

  • yup...

    LOL great clip

  • Or Portello

  • For those of you who understand German: check out "Herricht & Preil", they are a sort of comparable pair. Although they're not half as smoooooth and....yes, damn it, sexy as hugh. :P

  • that does sound like something Stephen would write... Hugh should have guessed

  • "MA COLLEUGE!"

  • i was thinking hahahahahaha duh

  • ha ha

  • who exactly is Michael Portillo? I hear mention of him a lot in British shows from this period, well The Day Today anyway. I gather he's a politician, but was he especially disliked for some reason?

  • He was in the Conservative party...so yeah.

  • Was a conservative govt minister in this period, who was considered a likely leader and thus potential prime minister. It didn't come to pass. His screw up was admitting he had tried homosexuality when at university. It was probably calculated to make him look human, which ministers generally didn't in the 80s, but it didn't go down well in the UK with conservative voters/the conservative party. He also came across well on the media and I think he had a tv show for a while. Well known.

  • Thanks Fry... nice try! uuuuuh, thatuhrhymes. :-)

  • Wow, how prescient! "If we give into the [threats of the terrorists] then the [terrorists] have won -- and democracy can go take a shower!" :o

  • That's thrity pence, postage, and packaging down the bloody drain!

  • dear sir/madam, you die heavily don't like the cween in this country. stripping skrotum from eerie leary pastures of ddeep smell!

    don't succumb to these people!

  • "For evil to flourish, all that is required is for good men to spout clichés."

    Ah ha ha!

  • M'colleague is a play on the practice in the British courts where barristers refer to the judge as "m'lord" and each other as "m'learned friend", by tradition not My but m'. They just adapted to sketch comedy.

  • "Macollegue"

    Love it <3

  • sorry, where was it uploaded at ? the song

  • What a clever sketch!

    Hugh is soo brave! *lol*
