I bet the Steinbrenners would have a much more successful team if they fired all of them and hired the Cuban, Korean or Japanese team. They play very hard, are dedicated, and great performers at a tiny fraction of the cost of the American players.
Baseball stars should receive commission based on performance. Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriquez are more concerned about mansions, dating famous hoochies, and doing commercials than winning games. I do not blame Hank Steinbrenner for getting upset. Even Alex Rodriguez has not been hitting the home runs that he used to before he joined the Yankees. They are all overrated on that team.
At one time professional sports athletes used to play for the love of the game. Pro wrestlers and NFL players destroy their bodies and do not get anywhere near what these modern day premadonna baseball players do. Not to mention the ripoff autographs and ticket fees. They make a fortune no matter what. They sit on the bench with a little boo boo.
