I like disturbed ever since I heard the song stupify. Every cd they seem to bring something new to the distured table, the last cd indestructible was a great leap to a new level compared to previous cd's. I however think this song sounds like their previous work with nothing new sounding about it. I am personally disappointed that they are trying to ride this wave of hatred of bp to sell cd's, but hey if it raises awareness and gets people thinking then I guess it makes up for it.

@Gaharian i thought Indestructible was more of a side step than a giant leap forward personally. After getting the balance right between the first two records on 'Ten Thousand Fists', it just seemed they had nowhere to go, so they toned down the groove, and added more solos and guitar lines. I also felt that Draiman singing, with the exception of The Night and Haunted, wasn't as powerful as it was on Ten Thousand Fists or Believe.

The melody somehow reminds me of a few older songs, especially Liberate and Criminal. Nothing new, it's like I've already heard it all before. Now on to lyrics, Disturbed always had lyrics that were amazing,except for a few songs where melody dominated, like Conflict. What happened? Their old songs delivered the message either in a more brutal way (DWTS) or with some hidden meaning (Inside the Fire, Criminal). They can do it for global issue as well, they already did (Land of Confusion) and the

lyrics were well-written. Lyrics here really lack colorfulness and are too straight-forward. It goes like 'Glaciers are melting, we're gonna die, can we revert what we've done?' I'm pretty sure these guys can write a song about global warming without mentioning the word glaciers and actually making it more shocking, more aggressive. Liberate is about religion, not global warming, but compare the lyrics and you'll see what I mean. I hope other songs in Asylum will be better.
