  • <3 Eric's Glasses.

  • I gotta mojo.. just watching this..!!

  • I touched Buddy's right shoulder when he came out in the crowed playing his guitar at a concert in Silverton Oregon. I haven't washed it since.

  • @102938abel If you go to his club in Chicago you can hang out and talk to him. About 10 years ago I bought a t-shirt at the club and he signed it for me.

  • @102938abel Note to self: Do not shake hands with 102938abel before eating.

  • check out buddys early stuff--the best

  • check out buddys early stuff--he was a elvis

  • chi-town finest buddy guy

  • A cople of years ago, i felt like the little Bluesman at 2:56 :) Then, it was Mr. Henry Gray...Keep that Blues alive!

  • A cople of Years ago, I felt like the young Bluesman at 2:56.... I remember, it was Mr. Henry Gray...

  • I think that there is any white blues player that can match the voice of buddy, or bb or muddy waters... but to say that he has a bad voice for blues.... come on.

  • eric has a bad voice for blues? wtf dude... clapton is a blues man since early 60´s.. I don´t like the way he sings the 1 verse, but as someone said, the 3 verse it´s a whole different story

  • l0l_ánýÖNé_wÂNñÁ_chåt_wÎth_me_ì_fEel_sO_lÒnËly_tÕÐàý◘

  • I always thought Eric Clapton had the worst voice for the blues.....

  • Got to love that Albert KIng style lick at 2:59 :)

  • this time clapton is better

    usually buddy guy is better

  • Király

  • Buddy guy guitar lesson #1......And that's how you bend your strings!

  • lol love it when they show the cop dancing and behind him to the right theirs another one getting all into it

  • @mgfcortes your the asshole..........hope you burn in hell!

  • 1:20 - 1:21

    eric is wearing crocs

    i don't believe it

  • clapton's voice awesome!!!!!!!! in the 3rd verse

  • Latin bridals here **busizz4me.info**

  • BUDDY is THE MAN!!

  • why is clapton even on stage ?

  • @TheFreemanuk Because it was Clapton's name that sold the tickets and got most of the people there in the first place. Then, hopefully, once they heard the true master they went out and bought Buddy Guy's music. But as spursareshit states, the difference between Clapton's first verse and the third are like night and day. He DID listen to Buddy and learn how to do it right. Look at Guy's expression on the third verse. He looks like a proud teacher.

  • @TheFreemanuk uhhh, maybe because him and buddy are friends? maybe.......

  • This music was composed by WILLIE DIXON

  • Un-fucking-surreal performance:_) Does anyone know if b.g. lost his voice for some reason. he's nailin' it vocally here, but on other videos he seems to be forcing/searching for his vocal notes (no offense. luv the great B.G. & E.C.), but.........just wondering if anyone can enlighten me on what B.G. may have gone thru? Also, here he has a full head of hair, and now he's shaved his head (he looks incredible either way, but.....) again, does anyone know if he was ill or something. peace.

  • @glenneveaux no idea he sounds amazing on living proof and ive never noticed any struggling in any videos? what ones are you talking about?

  • ERIC PULLS FROM MEMORY BUDDY PLAYS FROM NOW

  • Great tune and performance, but look at 2:23, jeez, that girl just made my day :)

  • Clapton has no business being on the same stage as buddy guy.

He should open fo rhim and be grateful.

  • Buddy es increiblemente bueno !!! is a fucking god !!

  • *sigh* i've lost my heart to blues:D

  • Local moms are alone do you need to meet them naneedj.info

  • WOW I LOVED HOW THIS KIDS WERE LISTENING AND ENJOYING REAL MUSIC... RARE

  • amazing is all i can say

  • Is that Paul Shafer on the Keyboards ?

  • @sweetscience85 Yes and he conducts from 3:53

  • Fantanstic

  • that's one great lookin gal at 2:23

  • Not as much as with the Stones in Champagne and Reefer, but Buddy Guy surely shows how it should be done and you can bet Clapton knows it.

  • I cant help it, i just dont like eric clapton, i dont know why..... hes an amazing talent, i just cant stomach him!

buddy guy, well thats a different story, thats a god.

  • @Ladyluck2806 I am the opposite. Claptons playing is just flawless where buddy just seems sloppy to me, considering he has been playing since the beginning of time. His bends never sound in tune and his vibrato isnt even. Just my opinion!

  • @bandslater i understand what you are saying and respect your opinion, maybe because clapton is so perfect is why he puts me off lol

  • @bandslater If by "flawless" you mean watered down and void of any soul, then i agree with you.

  • @Pops531 get a grip man. By flawless i mean without mistakes/bum notes/out of tune bends. Just because someone doesn't make mistakes it doesn't mean the have no soul or feeling. It generally means they have more natural talent and feel for the instrument. ie:know when to stop bending the string and having a FEEL for the intonation. I am sick of people who think they know everything there is to know about guitar playing on youtube when they actually know fuck all.

  • @bandslater - I used to to really dig Clapton when i first got in to blues when i was younger. Listen to some Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters Albert King, even Stevie Ray. That stuff is raw, real AMERICAN blues. In my opinion Clapton is too clean and over produced. Just look at his interpretations of Robert Johnson tunes, all the feeling is gone,he almost has the tone of a jazz player. He is not nearly in the same league as Buddy Guy.

  • @Pops531 I do listen to all those guys, and i appreciate where you are coming from with the real RAW sound. Its not through player preference that the sound has changed so much. Its down to technology mainly. ie better recordings, better instruments, and musical evolution. I think clapton has done more to bring the blues to a wide audience than just about anyone else. He has just as much soul/feeling as anyone and he isn't just limited to blues with his playing. He is a versatile guy.

  • @bandslater - Id have to disagree on the technology view, A vintage strat and a fender twin are pretty standard issue equipment and that combo has been around for decades.

I would have to agree with you comment about Clapton bringing the Blues to alot of people, he is like Elvis in alot of ways. He has been a white representative who has brought less than authentic blues to the masses.

Either way I still believe he should not be on the same stage as Buddy Guy, for most blues fans/musicians

  • @Pops531 it just exposes his weaknesses next to a true blues great. And people who like his watered down jazz sound will not like Buddy Guy (like you).

Its just sad that There are not many real greats left.

  • crying.... is like god and god playing one of god songs

  • real music i love it :)

  • is there anything better than a clapton solo

  • @JohnLennon4King yes, a stevie ray vaughan one :)

  • Hey, it's Justin Bieber at 2:57, lol

  • @wealbr Bieber wishes he had this much rhythm

  • @warpedwiselegoman Not Clapton, lol. I would never....I'm a big Clapton fan. I'm talking about the kid in the audience at the 2:57 mark def looks like Bieber.

  • Sweet!

  • Deux artistes magnifiques !!!

  • I remember watching this on TV when I was 11 and I had just gotten a Stratocaster and I remmber thinking "wow this is what I'm supposed to do with my strat"

  • wgat was the name of this concert?

  • Mr Epic Clapton strikes again! ^^

  • the two nicest fender stratocasters at one place! beauty comes out of everything on that stage!

  • I love EC, however.....Mr. Guy is the embodiment of Chicago Blues, if you think that EC doesn't look up to Mr. Guy listen to EC's first verese and then his last after Guy sings......much different feeling. Either way when these two perform together it makes me shiver at the amount of raw talent in one place.

  • Kiss My Coochie..........

    You have been Kissed.

  • dig the string bend at 3:08,classic Buddy Guy!

  • the best!

  • verry good...maybe the best!! __- pt. prietenul meu Toni din Valea - Ohabii .

  • verry good...maybe the best!! __- pt. pretenul meu Toni din valea - ohabii .

  • 2:55 buddy just got himself younger fans

also where can I find a blue suit like that, epic

  • buddy has more passion than clapton had or will have ever. but everyone prefers different things about music :D

  • Eric Clapton can sure play the guitar but Buddy sings it much better I.M.O... :)

  • Awesome performance. Buddy looks like he just stepped out of a episode of Miami vice.

  • @deathhand you got the right

    eaheuahueaheuaheuaheauheaeaea

  • What's Paul Schafuer doing in the background at 0:12?

Love the song tho & the performance

  • The way Eric sings the 3rd verse compared to the first verse is like night and day! After he heard Buudy sing the 2nd verse Eric "understood" how this song should be sung.

  • @spursareshit - I belive Eric heard this song quite a few times before and heard Buddy sing it, and even sang it with Buddy. But I see what you're getting at.

  • @LordInksworth Of course Buddy had the advantage of going second.....By the way you can check out my bands version of this classic blues song by pressing on my name in the blue.

  • @spursareshit I checked your version out, your guitar work sounds the way I play the song, I like a dirtier sound, nice job, but I have to knock on your keyboardist, plays good, but he looks like "Spence Ulchin" on The King of Queens sitcom here in the states. look it up and you will see. and if you are like my band you can rag on him for months about it...lol, No disrespect, you guys did a good job. But Dude looks so much like Spence..Peace, and keep playing the blues!

  • @bluedaddy23 Thanks man for the cool comments! & I'll tell my keyboardist to slim down....

  • @spursareshit Naw man your keyboardist isn't fat, now I am fat, but trying to lose weight, lost 34 lbs in 4 months, I see you are from the UK, you hear of Danny Bryants Red Eye Band? Walter Trout? Now those guys rock, How is the blues scene there in the UK? I like the sound you are getting from you guitar. I prefer a little dirty as to clean for certain blues songs. I have a Fender Strat, and a Line 6 Spider amp, 150 watts, with an FBV foot pedal its good for most gigs.No disrespect to your keys

  • @spursareshit That's right...LOL

  • @spursareshit Trust me Clapton has heard this song once or twice before ;) It's one of the worlds absolut most famus blues tunes

  • @spursareshit

Trust me Eric Clapton have heard this song once before ;) It's one of words most famus blues tones and Clapton have ofcourse been touring with this since early 70s

  • @spursareshit : actually its quite a common technique in this kind of rock influenced blues to sing the first note flat and more sedately to lead up to the main point of the songs: the guitar soloes, the singing is just filler so the later verses have to match up with the high emotion guitar. just my two cents

  • @SvenHarp : *verse

  • @spursareshit Why don't you compare Gibson Clapton to the Fender Clapton.

  • @The12Child Good call man!

  • hell yeah!!!

  • Man Buddy can do a pretty good Muddy Waters impression! He sounds a lot like him when he sings in this song!

  • wow great very great !!! thanks you
