  • I read online that cures for cancer were found many years ago. Search for: The Beautiful Truth on facebook - lots of links.

  • i hope one day that we'll eventually defeat this horrible cancer and that goes for other cancers and other illnesses too, including poxy old age and death

  • yep loved bob monkhouse xxx

  • Poor Geezer, My dad passed away of the same thing this Christmas, good job on him for kicking it up the arse till the very end!!!

  • God Bless You, Bob xxxxx

  • @THEORTONCOLLECTIVE I couldn't put it better than this.

  • Love the man, I still watch re-runs of WIPEOUT over here in the UK. One thing Bob was wrong about was when he said cancer is incurable. Look up the ex-England cricketer`s story, John Edrich found a natural cure which cured his cancer. Also check out the film Cancer-The Forbidden Cure. God bless you Bob.

  • Fuck you cancer, I want Monkhouse back! :(

  • Aargh! It's Mr Hell!

    I miss you, Bob. =[

  • In this moment, an absolute fucking king.

  • I was never a fan of Bob Monkhouse, but you have to respect the manner that he faced his illness.

  • @MrBacktothenineties

I think people like Bob would have gone on working - these sorts of people LOVE what they do, and can't think of anything better than doing what they love, which is giving pleasure to people and making them laugh.

They remind me of what WE should do too, find what we love and serve our 'short' lives doing that. I think too much importance is given to retirement (which to me shows how many disenchanted people there are in the workforce).

    Sorry, my 'rant' about 'retiring'

  • That is a great attitude. I love Bob Monkhouse!

  • Very funny man and sadly missed

  • Garlic Bread?

  • iv whatched so many comedians and they can only make your life better

  • God rest him

  • Genius ;)

  • What a man! A true insperational comedian with a talent that was so unique he made billions laugh. to make a comedy quip about a disease that was to take him from us, one of the Father comedians of british showbuisness. I admire this man so much.

  • So sad we lost him so early and from such a dreadful disease.

  • The guv'nor.

  • What a comic genius, and, contrary to some people's belief a really nice person. my dad met him a couple of times in the 70's when he was working as a coach driver and he took parties to his gigs. Said he was brilliantly blue but never a swear word in his act and was genuinely nice to him when off stage. RIP Monkhouse you are sorely missed

  • this dude's even sexier than i remembered

  • Michael Bentine died of the same curable disease. Watch "Cancer-The Forbidden Cure" which can be found on t TPUC website. Bless you all.

  • RIP Bob and thanks for sending me the wonderful card with doodles in it when I was depressed in late 1990's. A very very very kind man indeed and always missed !!!!

  • I miss him!! He was so charismatic and charming!! Love you Bob!!

  • looks like the funny guy got it in the end

  • I feel like he's like one of charismatic funny uncles that brighten up your household merely with their presence. Bob's my uncle ;) and will be sorely missed

  • mun, that guy was sooo amazing, loved him ever since i was a kid, really talented, clever, funny, and yeh, brave, and did come across really nice

    sadly missed

    \m/

  • Gosh !!I gettin Morbid !!!It`s me Virus !!LOL!!!

  • Bob was a lovely chap. I used to collect and deliver his car, and we would chat about various things. He was a genuine chap and one of our greatest entertainers. His wife Jackie was a lovely lady too. Sadly they have both left us now, but they were loved by many and will always be in our hearts.- Mike

  • Brave man. Very underrated comic. Too good looking, really. To be a comic you have to be either ugly, too fat, too thin, bald, have stupd hair, be short or too long etc etc. Bob was none of them and so appeared to be a "smart arse".

Which is a shame, because wasn't. I saw the documentary about him before he was ill and he came over as being a regular bloke with an irreverent view of life and a wicked sense of humour.

  • Good to see someone pretty much saying Fuck You to cancer. Excellent.

  • what a great man! respect,respect,RESPECT!

  • Call me soppy, this makes me cry. I've got tears down my face now.......cheers Bob for putting on a brave face till the end......much braver than I would be : )

  • I wish i could be like him. love him. how odd to think the word tumour rhymes with humour. my best to his family

  • RIP Mr Hell

  • I was laughing until i saw the message at the end.

  • Aaaaah sweet.

  • Hope you are having a laugh Bob wherever you are.

  • Bob was the best. Verry funny man and the best quiz show host, EVER! Miss you Bob

    RIP

  • @fanniebell I thought he had arse cancer, not dick cancer?

  • @vulnerabledonkey Prostate cancer is not "dick cancer" do yourself a favour that might save your life someday and educate yourself.

  • RIP Bob.

    Miss you.

  • I wish this joke was his but sadly it isnt, i read this in a joke book like 2 years ago : /

  • He died in 2003. Are you saying the joke predates that?

  • @BlackSc0rp10n Yh the book was published in like 1989, it was my mums xD

  • @AlexSkinnerTV

    But he died in 2003?

  • @Doomsday2060 old book dude, old book.

  • @AlexSkinnerTV

    Ahhh OK.

I just found it hard to believe because you don't usually find jokes about cancer in joke books :)

    cool

  • @Doomsday2060 naa bob monkhouse was a legend, he deserves to be able to use it. :)

  • @nicziw

    spoon jar jar spoon

  • Unfortunately it looks like the prostate cancer had the last laugh. What a shame.

  • a funny guy .

  • A little anecdote from his funeral in Amersham. An old friend of his called Mitch Murray (songwriter who wrote in the 70's) got caught up in the family group, a man came up to Mitch and said "Excuse me sir, are you on the list?" and Mitch suddenly said "I certainly am, I'm one of the people being cremated this afternoon." :-) Bob would of loved it.

  • @vinnothelizard shut the fuck up

  • a very very kind warm hearted gentleman and bob u allways made me laugh a very sad loss to the showbiz world legend bob thats what i will remember bob for very professional in what he did and a legend

  • The master. R.I.P :-(

  • Wonderful man

  • I think he is right to laugh at it and not let it ruin what is left of our lives. Live and laugh through everyday.

  • Very brave man.

  • RIP Bob x

  • I really miss bob he was frigging great a true professional

  • Bloody cancer

  • RIP Bob. A gentleman and an inspiring person.

  • Legend!! Bob you are sadly missed

  • a truly remarkable and inspiring man

  • one of the truley quick witted people there was

  • Completely , its as if his mind knew what you were going to say, had a cup of tea, analysed your statement, wrote a response, played a game of golf and then calmly walked back to you to executed his words with precision timing! Perhaps he was a time lord and could pause time? ?? Put simply : An amazing bloke. :)

  • Hard 2 believe its 6 years Bob Monkhouse was just amazing his timing his humour just fantastic i remember watching this in October 2003 and he was dead almost 3 months later and yet he remained so dignified and professional to the end rip god bless him and all other cancer sufferers all over the world who fight this terrible disease

  • RIP Bob, We miss you man.

  • The Quickest Comic Mind Ever...God Bless You Bob...

  • rip bob u took no prisoners

  • Only Bob Monkhouse could raise a genuine (rather than sympathetic) laugh from such a heartbreaking subject, as that of his own terminal illness. Salute to the master.

  • i have it and I try to laugh everyday ;)

  • Saw Bob live back in 1995 - and he was awesome! Great man and comic genius, sorely missed.

  • Mr Monkhouse, you are sorely missed.

  • Bob was an absolute legend and still is, he's sorely missed from our tv screens.
