  • Beautiful beautiful beautiful lyrics.

  • This is why singles groups on meetup.com are killing online dating. XD

  • A very good song!

  • Judith Durham is an outstanding singer. It makes me wonder how someone like Cilla Black, who had a voice like a corncrake, had the nerve to perform in public at all.

  • That is true but the new seekers actually sing it as well as part of a medley

  • Judith Durham was beautiful in voice and body!

  • im 11 and this beats the crap we have these days. r.i.p real music, u have been replaced by a load of rubbish...

  • @TheLiverboy123 dude that is fucking epic that you feel that way we need more young people no our side

  • New Seekers did the song that adopted by Coca Cola in the '70's. "I'd like to teach the world to sing"

  • Songs called Georgy Girl.. not hey there

  • I am a young guy in my early 20s and even though this was way before my time, i can actually feel this song in the time today. Clean no dirty insults, and just totally carefree..thank god for youtube for posting many of the great oldies we have yay yay!..

  • The New Seekers also recorded this song in 1972 but their version sounds totally different than the original Seekers' version.

  • I can see my little one year old sister rockin in her chair every time this song would come on..waaay back in the day! Thanks for posting.

  • This song is great, it always reminds me of the Comic Strip Episode Consuela proper funny x

  • This was done be the Seekers, and not the New Seekers which formed in the 1970's. The New Seekers formed in 1976, well after this was released, back in about 1966. But still it's a great oldie none the less.

  • The New Seekers? I'm sure!!!!!! What ever........ How "Yesterday" can you be???? This is the Seekers, how could you confuse the two??? OMG!!!! Anyway..... Judith lip sync and had studio vocalists laying down the tracks for her in the studio. She was my mothers step-aunt.

  • heard this song when i was working at tim hortons one day, it was a quiet day so i started sweeping the floor and then this tune came on. i laughed but had to listen to this again. i love it its catchy!

  • I love the easy feeling that goes with this song, just like the song Don't Sleep In The Subway..by Petula Clark.

  • Great song !

  • Yes, i have a cd single from the mid 90's and some of the songs were original recordings but there was a re-recording of an old hit.

  • I first saw this album in 1969 when the brother of a guy I was playing ball with bought it when it came to the States. The next time I saw it was at a used record store in San Francisco in 1994. I cherished that album!!!! Thankfully they released these albums on CD. I remember hearing "Yesterday" on that album and thinking I'd never find it again. I have it now.

  • @glnelson Homosexuality is not a sickness, homophobia is. The archaic notion of homosexuality as illness is an uncivilised religious idea that is equivalent to fascist ideology. Homosexuality has been observed in the natural world amongst other species, so your argument that it goes against nature is plain ignorant. Also, I know perfectly functional families that have gay and straight children who are model citzens, far from psychopaths as you infer! Please keep your hate speech to yourself

  • @BadDrFish Actually Homosexuality is a mild retardation in the brain to make people and animals that makes a mans brain more similar to a womans brain and vice versa so in actuality it is a little bit of a sickness

  • @dbzjunkie It's not a retardation. But you might be.

  • @BadDrFish fuck you, libby! kiss my ass, freedom of speech... homos are fucking fucks!

  • @quandrax u come on the internet to bash gay people? do it in person if your willing to go that ignorant. you pussy. you just dont want one of them " fucking fucks" kicking ur ass and surprising you

  • classic!!!

  • I Love this, haha,

  • This is the Seekers

  • Judith finally shows her knees!

  • in fact one of the members of the seekers went on to form the new seekers

  • @wpaulvandyk eventually the members returned cause in the early 80's I ran into Judith at the Pontiac Silverdome the return of the Seekers at half time!

  • Hey, I bet no one has ever heard the sheer cleverness of this comment:

2 people missed the like button.

  • Exactly The New Seekers were a nothing this is the real thing top class Judy Durham the very best still

  • has anyone got a copy of the New Seekers singing this song, i know it was on the album, Live at the Albert Hall

  • one of the first and best gay love songs ever written....this song changed the world...well done seekers, come on georgie girl...and what a treat to see yvonne goolagong at wimble today...fucking gorgeous...martina too....great day.

  • @uclrichard

Dude, What d'ya mean gay? No way?

  • @IqbalHamid a nod towards the isolation of gay people in 'swinging london' - especially lesbians....it's about coming out and being yourself - bring out all the love you HIDE...it's about being honest about oneself and one's sexuality....and developing a sense of confidence in a changing world.

  • @uclrichard This song was written for the movie "Georgy Girl", a movie about a normal, heterosexual girl finding herself. The song had nothing to do with the emotional, mental sickness of homosexuality.

A symptom of insanity is inability to deal with reality. Homosexuality is clearly a form of insanity, as the person afflicted cannot deal with the reality of their born sexuality.

Homosexuals need our help, not hatred of their affliction, as their mental aberrations are healed.

  • @glnelson1956 you're the one who's mentally ill - and in need of help. in the meantime, just go and fuck yourself - you brainless cunt.

  • @uclrichard Your comment simply verifies my point. There are several organizations that can guide the homosexually-afflicted toward a normal life by getting to the deeply-rooted origins of their affliction. Exodus International is one such group. Check them out. You don't have to live in the perverted cesspool of homosexuality. You can free yourself by understanding the life events that "programmed" you into accepting insanity as normal.

Wishing you the best on your path toward reality.

  • @glnelson1956 you are clearly deeply afflicted with either intangible fascist beliefs or you indoctrinated with some moronic religious notions. either way, your comments reveal that you are seriously retarded and should get help as soon as possible.

  • @uclrichard There are two sexes, as determined by nature. Each sex has a clearly indicated function as determined by nature. That is reality. When an individual cannot accept the sexual characteristics that nature has endowed them with, then that individual is in denial of reality. Inability to deal with reality is insanity.

Just pure simple logic. No religious dogma, no indoctrination. Just observation of nature at its basic foundations.

    Reality, in plain terms.

  • @uclrichard It is self-evident that you cannot refute the pure logic of my position. Resorting to obscenities and name-calling simply destroys your credibility in this public forum.

However, I will give you plenty of rope to hang yourself in public.

I challenge you to refute my assertion that nature has clearly indicated the functions of the two sexes.

Nature ensures species survival via heterosexual reproduction. Homosexuality is clearly a dead-end, extinct path in Nature.

  • @glnelson1956 If that's the case, then why do so many heterosexual people have gay children?

  • Comment removed

  • @bubsmeister I have great respect for the Seekers; consider them possibly the finest pop group of all time. So, yes I do like to listen to the music. The comments section is a public forum. I respond to comments I find interesting, in much the same way as yourself.

  • Wow, Im on a roll - These songs helped me to survive 14, 15, 16 years old

  • Miss those old days.

  • \Wonderful group, remember this song playing on my dad's 69 Pontiac Bonneville stereo our first car with a AM-FM radio with speakers in the back. I thought we were in high cotton... Music and groups like this I do not think we will see again. We lost our Georgy Girl this week LYNN REDGRAVE , great movie and actress. May she rest in peace.

  • R.I.P. Lynn Redgrave.

  • Harrold just put another one straight on... double seekers!!

  • This song will always bring back early memories of my dad, I remember it always playing in his 1960 T-bird's radio.
