@PKDraven You can play this game on a American PS2 but it must have a mod chip that will allow you to play imported games from other countries or you can buy a product called "Magic Swap" for the PS2. The latest version is 3.6 if I remember right. Research this info I told you online so you know what I'm telling you is legit.

i want anima, but at the beginning of the game, i accidently left the cloister of trials before unlocking the treasure chest, so i need to get there again. but with dark valefor in the way... i don't think i can beat it ANY TIME SOON.

heck, even yuna is not even done with here part of the sphere grid (almost, though) most of my characters are on their second part of their sphere grid.

@gamefreakY catch lot of monsters until you get some monsters that gives defence spheres and the rest of the spheres. you can use yojimbo and pay tons of gil so that he uses zanmato.

@mynaxDMC actually, i have already done that by now. from what i have read, gettign yojimbo to use zanmato is much easier in the PAL version rather than the international version. the dark valefor battle was the first one i used yojimbo in. i paid him just over 11000 gil or so and he immediately used it. (actually, it was the second time. the first was on gagazet, just to try him out. paid 10000 gil, and kapoof, bye bye machina.) game-breaking much?

@blubbiman No. 99999 is the limit for Aeons as well. Thing is, Oblivion is a multi-hit attack and since his options have the Aeon Animations on Skip, the game just shows the TOTAL damage of the attack. Oblivion is the only situation (as far as i remember) where you'll see damage higher than 99999.

If you put the summoning sequence on short, it skips the long part of the overdrive, and just gives the final damage figure. In reality, it hits a lot of times for a lot of damage each time, but that is the total damage for all hits.

the easiest way to beat dark valefor is to use don tonberry ap trick until Wakka can do about 580,000 damage with attack reels+ tidus can do about 220,000 damage with blitz ace and use wakkas + tidus celestial weapons.

Do you mean where? : D Get the Airship, THEN return to Zanarkand to fight Dark Bahamut in the innermost area of the Dome, Zanarkand. List of Dark Aeons:

Valefor=Besaid (obviously)

Ifrit=Home (talk to a man and say yes)

Ixion (2 FIGHTS!) = Thunder Plains

Magus Sisters=Beginning of Mi'hen Road

You have the American version of the game. There's an International version as well as a PAL version that have extras in them, like the Dark Aeons, the hardest boss Penance and armor abilities like Ribbon.

valefor is really fkn ezy i didnt expect him to be so ezy blitzace two time n his dead. Just max stats for tidus that all u need with the rest decent. SO he doesnt get too much turn, not liek shiva u need a fair amount of luck liek 100ish to attack her due to her evasion.
