Moonraker's theme song is my personal favorite Bond song. Shirley Bassey's performance was gorgeous! Shame that this brilliant movie was so underrated!
I swear, I still cannot really apreciate this film. This theme and Jaws reappearance saves it at times. It was fun, but after TSWLM, it let me down. Still, there's a reason Shirley was the only artist to sing more than one Bond theme. She is just the best.
I agree, this is probably one of the weakest Bond films (the book is a lot better and different), but Shirley Bassey's voice makes this a great opening title sequence.
I agree absolutely! Allso that they did not use CGI. The film-makers had to find innovative solutions to make things appear or look good. CGI is (I think) sometimes too easy, and the result kinda dull. I think to be innovative (like for ex Chaplin and the good ol` Bond team) is to me what film-making is all about! Sometimes just so simple..

Yet another great JB theme. Shirley Bassey has a voice that cannot be compared to anyone else`s.

Moonraker was a great James Bond movie and i'll prove it:
1)Holly Goodhead-Tell me with a straight face you wouldn't hit that. Defining Dialog:"James, take me around the world one more time."
2)Jaws, freelance giant metal-mouthed psychopath that Bond tried to kill numerous times and failed. Defining Dialog: "Well, here's to us."
3)Orbital Laser Tag War-You get to see space marines fight Drax's Super Race in low Earth Orbit! Pew, pew, pew, pew!
4)The Plot: The murder of all life on Earth.
A+
